I would rather not even give one star but it says Hated it so I will take that. I have been very disappointed with this practice recently. I have been coming in for years and was excited to bring my children over from the previous dentist once they were on my dental insurance that I was provided through work. I love the general Dentist we see and the cleaning staff is always so pleasant. The front desk people change so often it seems like different people every time we have gone. It takes months to get an appointment just to get your teeth cleaned. Just to put it out there...I am open to any time of day and still had to wait 2 and a half months for appointments. They recently called to cancel my cleaning appointment along with my husbands due to being understaffed. Already having to wait 2 and a half months.....they couldnt give me another appointment until 4 week later. I pay for my own dental on a yearly basis. Guess we only get one cleaning this year before it expires instead of the suggested 2 times a year they want you to be seen. The best part is is my 16 year daughter old had a cavity that needed to be filled tonight. We were told by 3 different techs and front desk staff it was a small cavity and no worries. For my daughter who was a nervous wreck and not feeling well today she decided she wanted to have it filled without the anesthetic as she had had that done before with a small filling. The dentist from Russia who was to be filling the cavity was so nasty and rude to my daughter and I. She immediately said the cavity is too deep and cannot be filled without the needle as it will hurt too much! As my daughter was shaking and crying she was asking her when the waterworks would stop and also said "Do we have to hold you down? Are you 5?" What kind of people are these? I had worked in a dental office for years and the dentists I worked for were always supportive of what the patient was comfortable with and not making them feel so pressured to do things they didnt want to do! I will be calling my dental insurance provider tomorrow to change my primary choice of Eastern Dental of Marlton. I really hope and pray that no one else has to experience this kind of treatment. It is very uncalled for and now makes my daughter even more apprehensive about going to the dentist. May God bless and hope you learn to treat your patients with more compassion and understanding.

After moving to the area, this was the first dentist office that I called that accepted my insurance. I have mixed feelings. Pros: The office seems highly efficient, and has very high tech gear. I was in and out on time. If youre looking for a small mom & pop dentist with only 2 chairs, this definitely isnt it. Its a well oiled machine, youre likely going to get different dentists & hygienists each time you go. Im the kind of person who would prefer be in and out, so this was fine for me. They also provided accurate quotes right away for dental work, and I appreciated that up-front info. Cons: Very expensive Lesson Learned: I should have taken the quote for dental work (scaling) and called around before signing on the dotted line. I felt pressured to agree to sign while I was there, as Ive always believed that doctors & dentists know best. After I came home, a friend mentioned that I could have probably gotten it much cheaper elsewhere, or that I may not have even needed it at this time. They had also sold me on a tooth whitening kit, which they made sound like a huge discount. I could have gotten the SAME EXACT ONE from amazon for half the price. DO NOT BUY FROM THE DENTIST OFFICE!

A molar filling popped out of my tooth on Saturday and is sensitive, making eating and drinking an adventure. On Monday morning I called the Eastern Dental office in Marlton, NJ where I am a patient. No one answered the phone and a recording gave me a phone number to use for an emergency. I called the number and got their answering service. The answering service woman told me they dont have office hours on Monday. The answering service told me they cant schedule an appointment on Mondays and said to call back on Tuesday at 8 am to make an emergency appointment. I did so and was told that there were no office hours until 2:00 pm, on Tuesday and they couldnt even schedule an appointment until then! What kind of forethought (or lack thereof) would lead a dentists office to be unable to even SCHEDULE an emergency appointment until 2:00 pm on a Tuesday? The answering service cant even refer a patient to a backup group. Heres a thought -- people incur dental emergencies during weekends, especially in the summer. Wouldnt it be humane to have a plan in place so that these unfortunate patients dont have to wait up to 96 hours in pain to get emergency work performed to ease their suffering?

I recently switched to Eastern Dental from a private practice. Setting up my family for our first time visit was a breeze, the lady I spoke with over the phone was patient while setting up four new patients. Same thing when I called to setup our next appointment. During my first visit my hygienist that day was Sally Giunta while she was cleaning my teeth she asked when was the last time I had a cleaning I held up 6 fingers, she said 6 months ago I held up a thumbs up. After she was done she said I had solidified plaque that has been there for longer then 6 months. This was very shocking to me because I had been going to the same hygienist for 18 years every 6 months so how was anything solidified on my teeth. She explained to me what would have happened to that tooth if left there. I am very thankful that I switch to Eastern Dental. Dr. Schwarz was very nice as well. I would say that cleaning is the best cleaning I have ever had in my life!!! My teeth stayed whiter in-between cleanings as well. I absolutely love my new dental hygienist I feel that she goes above and beyond for my teeth. I am so happy we switched!!

I always feel rushed and the office staff was not friendly in my opinion. The two times I have been there I felt like I was taking their time up, and I wasnt even asking any questions. I was simply waiting my turn, answering their questions. Being a parent and a full-time worker, it is difficult to schedule appointments. I had to cancel twice, but I did call in advance both times. When I tried to schedule the third time, they would only let me schedule with the office manager and made me feel like I should be ashamed for cancelling, even though I gave notice. Their tone was very condescending. The only reason I am returning is because they are the only dentist for my husbands benefits, otherwise I would not go back. Last week when I called to confirm my appointment for today, I pushed button 2 instead of button 1 by accident and a woman in the financial office for the dentist scolded me for pushing the wrong button. I would tell them how I feel about them, but you dont anger the people working on your teeth or cooking your food, I always say.
