I had not told my husband anything about the office. So he had no preconceived notions. However, after the visit and we spoke, he echoed all that I have felt from day one. The office is dirty. The front staff friendly, yet borderline unprofessional. The male dentist that examined my husband was obnoxious, borderline offensive. Instead of welcoming him to the practice...he didnt introduce himself, rather just abrasively asked my husband why he was there..."what your dentist no longer accepted your insurance? Or what you got insurance? " etc... Then he went on to see someone else, I guess the hygienist was now examining my husband, when the dentist called for her help... So why did she leave my husband to help and not change her gloves? I dont think the convenience of being down the street out weighs the issues that we have both noticed. I only gave a 2 star because of convenience to my house and the one hygienist or she may actually be a dentist that I REALLY like!! (long red hair)

The dentist was very informative and honest. The hygentist did a great job cleaning. However, I feel they need someone with better experience (or with patience) for X-rays. I understand they have a job to do and dont have all day, but it was a little scary to watch how they handled it. For children, I would explain stuff first, maybe visually before shoving something they arent familiar with down their mouth. That is your job so your familiar with this; compared to someone who isnt and need to be a little more understanding. Just remember fear of dentists starts with the foundation they had in early years. Just be mindful how you approach your patients.

I had a appointment here Thursday and I must say that even though I havent been to the dentists in over 12 years this was an experience. This place have top notch staff and they made me feel comfortable. Now Dr Ruggeri is a different story. To me he was very rude and I didnt like the way he talked to me. He was harsh and not very friendly. I never had a dentist that talk to me the way he did. You know it bad when the lady who did my x-rays afterwards try to make me feel better and I appreciate that. That why I gave this place 4 star just for the staff.

I have been a patient in Blackwood for many years, since I have been seeing Carmille for my cleaning she has done a excellent job on my teeth. She has explained to me how to clean and brush my teeth to stop my gum disease. I had deep pockets in my gums and since I have been doing what she recommended, they have improved tremendously. She is very knowledgeable and caring. I would recommend her to anyone.

The worst experience... Scheduled a new patient appt... After prodding in my mouth with his silver instruments for 5 min (hitting my teeth hard with the tools) the dentist tells me everything looks good and to schedule a cleaning.. Sounds like a way to make more money from insurance if you ask me... Very uncomfortable and the dentist was rude and rushed

I waited a1 hr and 15 mins. At that time, I was told it would be another 15-20 minutes wait. All I was having done was x-rays. I spoke to Edna, the office manager, and she was snotty with me saying, "Havent you ever waited this long for your other physicians?" No. I havent. This isnt normal. Apparently, this is normal for Dental Solutions though.

I am very pleased with the service that I received. Juanita at the front desk is easy to talk to and she has a wonderful personality. Dr. Jay was very efficient and quick with the work that I needed done. Marie was very understanding and helpful during the work that I had done. I would highly recommend this staff and location for future dental needs.
