I brought my son to Accredited Dermatology two years ago. He had a severe case of psoriasis ( covering 90% of his body) . I had tried every lotion, ointment, foam that is on the market. I was clear that my son needed a biological ( ie : Enbril, Humira ). Each Dr we saw at the facility gave us the indication that after standard testing and his reaching 18 ( which happened in September) that they would prescribe him a biological based on the test results. I brought him to blood work, other dr, and met all the criteria set forth by Accredited Dermatology to have him begin a biological. This process began in September. When it came time to see the doctor for the prescription. I was sent from my normal office in neptune to Forked River to see Dr. Tager. I was told she had "interest in my sons case". When arriving at the appointment , Dr. Tager commented on how bad his condition was and ask him to remove his shirt, at this point she blatantly stated she would NOT be writing his script for Humira, but instead she would rather I take him to an infectious disease Dr. I was livid. After 6 months of jumping through hoops to meet the medical criteria the Doctor would not give my son access to the treatment he needed. I expressed my outrage at this situation. The doctor assured me her office would call with an infectious disease dr., that we could see soon. To this day I have not heard from her office. I , on my own, then found a compassionate infectious disease dr , Dr. W, who agreed to see my son within two weeks of the devastating appointment with Dr . Tager. Dr. W first question and comment went something along the lines of "Why are you here? Dermatologist treat psoriasis, not infectious disease doctors, your son is not infected with anything. " When I explained Dr. Tagers refusal to put him on Humira he seemed confused, but clearly saw my sons need to recieve this script. He had all the appropriate blood work and Dr opinions stating he was at no increased risk and was healthy to begin treatment. We started the humira injections after the 3 weeks it took for it to arrive via the pharmacuetical company. Within 4 days we saw a difference, within 4 weeks my sons skin is 100% clear with no adverse side affects. Dr. Tagers inability to fullfill her obligation to her patient is shameful. She should have given this case to a qualified Doctor back in September and not extended the time my son spent suffering. It was at best bad business and at worst , down right cruel. He is an 18 year old boy in his senior year of high school and his suffering could have ended in September if Dr Tager and her team had seen fit to inform me that they were not qualified to address his level of psoriasis. I will post my reviews on any medical board I can find and express my concern that new patients could do through the same run around we did. These doctors, especially Dr. Tager completely failed my son medically.

Due to numerous spots on my body I visited Accredited Dermatology-now Derm One after a doctor in Red Bank recommended them. There was a variety of locations that I visited due to some locations have closed. Each and every time I would have 5 biopsies and often I was told to come back for surgery because they were coming back "positive." I did find myself a bit frantic because the bills were more than I could afford but I thought it better to have something surgically removed rather than die. My friend insisted I go for a second opinion. I requested my records and never received a call back. I continued to call, literally every other day for 48 days. They kept putting me through to their "records voicemail." Still, I never received a return call. The last time I called I (upon insistence of my friend who has advised I am too nice)had a conniption on their voicemail. Surprisingly I was then permitted to come and get "some" of my records that were scribbled and my new doctor indicated they were completely illegible. The records I am referring to is that of their lab (within their facility) that indicated I had so many cancerous lesions. I can tell you that the people were very nice and even though I have numerous ugly scars on my face and body I cannot help but think that they were necessary surgeries. I have gone to quite a few dermatologist who have told me "keep an eye on that" and I understand because unnecessary surgery can lead to an infection. I suppose this is an example of "six of one, half a dozen of another." Who knows which is the right way to go about things when it feels as though one is gambling with his or her life? My only issue was the fact that asking for the biopsy result and records was met not only with disdain but the absence of a reply for such a long period. One dermatologist told me that Accredited Dermatology/Derm One does not provide their patients with their biopsy results and was curious how I had even gotten mine, despite their being illegible and incomplete. I suppose the "conniption" was necessary.

This office has the worst front desk staff ever. You can tell by their tone that theyd rather be somewhere else. You get put on hold without notice. Its impossible to get a call back when you have a problem. The operatories look dirty and the wait time is ridiculously long. Ive been to this office twice because I was strapped for time and couldnt find anyone else. The last time I was in I was treated for the wrong thing. Now that my daughter has to be seen, Ill be sure to research and find somewhere else because I have no faith in this practice.

Terrible office, if I could give less than one star I would. As others have said, you can never get through to the office. They are so disorganized that even though they were their bill was paid, they "could not find the check" and we received letter from a collection agency. That was a month ago and even though we worked it out with the office and the check was found... we are still receiving collections letters with current post dates even though they have their money. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere.
