Used to be okay. But now is TERRIBLE I, and my wife, went to Envision several years ago. We were happy with their services and glasses we purchased, despite the expensive prices (and the hard sell on everything similar to a used car dealership as others have mentioned). For my glasses, the doctor at the time explained there wasnt room on the glasses for three prescriptions (reading, computer, distance) and since I would only be wearing them while reading and/or working at the computer, he recommended just the reading and computer (two prescriptions) on one pair of glasses. That is what I got. Those worked out great. So for this visit, after all my eye checkups and the usual push to buy their vitamins and bells and whistles, etc. I picked out a pair of frames to order a new pair of glasses. Quick summary of what happened from that point: 1. Ordered one pair of glasses with reading prescription on bottom and computer prescription on top. Glasses came in with reading and distance prescriptions. 2. Asked to fix to what I asked for-- reading and computer prescriptions. Glasses came in with reading, computer, and distance prescriptions. 3. Asked again to fix to what I asked for-- reading and computer prescriptions only. Then Envision had the audacity to tell me that I would need to come in for an eye exam to prove the small amount of distance prescription on the glasses was truly a problem. Unbelievable. But yes, this is how Envision Eyecare handled this. I have picked up my and my wifes records. We will be going elsewhere. I highly recommend you do also. Update: The comment from the owner below "we stated that we needed to research the reasons your glasses were not useful and you granted us the chance to assist you only so far." is ridiculous. I twice asked for my glasses to have a reading prescription and a computer prescription. No distance prescription. That is how you should have ordered them. There was nothing to research. You should have ordered what I asked for and not told me I had to prove the distance prescription on the glasses (which again I was very clear I did not want) was causing a problem. As far as "we are sorry to have missed the mark for you and for not being allowed the chance to make it right." You did not even offer to make it right. I requested that... which would have meant you sending the glasses back and trying for a third time to order what I had asked for all along. Your business did not even offer this. Nor did you did you apologize for the two previous mistakes. You did not take any responsibility or attempt to correct your mistake. You told me "all glasses come with some distance on them," and that was that. And now you argue with me on a public review site. As I said, terrible customer service.

I am an optician living in South Carolina, but my mother and brother live in Asheville. I have had two outstanding experiences with Envision, through them. Although my mother generally gets her eyeglasses from my practice, she had an emergency and needed some optical assistance right away. I called Envision and asked them if they would be able to perform the specific assistance she needed, and they did not hesitate. When she went in to see them, she raved about how friendly they were, helping her out with no questions asked, even though she obviously was not their patient. She liked the experience so much, she has since gone back to purchase glasses there, even though as a family member I can get her special deals at my practice. When my brother called me one day in a panic because he had over worn his two week contacts and was experiencing severe pain, and my OD (our own aunt!) was unable to call him in medication without seeing him, I immediately recommended Envision. Dr. Golson was able to work him in that day, and diagnosed his corneal ulcer. He even called and asked to speak to my OD to explain his findings, as she was the only OD my brother had ever seen. I worked directly with his staff to make sure Dr. Golson had his records, and they sent over a report when they were done. I have worked in optical for 9 years, and was incredibly impressed at the amount of customer service and care my family received. I feel better knowing they have found a great optometry practice in Asheville, and dont have to always make the two hour drive if they need help. Thanks so much!

My family had their eyes check by Dr. Golson a few weeks ago. He was friendly, warm and great with the kids (2 and 4 years old). Had a wonderful bedside manner and very professional. He took the time to explain our details and the path he recommends for our eyecare. Dr. Golson showed us new eyecare technology that will protect our eyes from UV rays and macular degeneration. My grandma had that and I want no part of it, so I decided to get the sunglass lens protection. The staff is also warm and knowledgeable. The optician helped me choose frames that match my face structure and my personality and the office coordinator was helpful in scheduling according to my needs. Also, the office is unlike any docs office you have visited. It is not cold and hospital-feeling. It is calming, inviting and truly feels like you have walked into the reception area of a day spa. It was a wonderful experience through and through. Thanks Envision-we are your patients for life!

It is absolute truth that I have never had a more professional and pleasant interaction with a health care provider! Dr. Golson and his staff managed my visits and my care with such concern and sensitivity to my individual needs that I was astounded with their integrity. It was evident from the scheduling of my appointment to the paying for services that the entire team was on-board, and on-purpose with making my appointments as easy and convenient for me as possible. The state of the art equipment used at Envision Eye care assured me that I was receiving the highest caliber of care that could be afforded, using cutting edge technology and integrative practice. In all, my vision has never been better, and my eye-ware never been more comfortable and attractive. I strongly endorse Dr. Golson and the team at Envision Eyecare for any and all optical needs, especially the health of your eyes.

I thought I could buy glasses cheaper online and that was a DISASTER. One of my friends told me about Envision, where she and her family goes. The people there are awesome and there was no problem that I had a prescription already. I bought my new glasses, they cost more than I really thought I wanted to spend, but I bit the bullet and they are perfect, awesome cool and I see better than any glasses I can remember because of the hi definition lens they advised. I didnt know all lens arent the same until they explained it. I wasnt confused either. They answered my questions, no hassle and theyll be my new eye doctors. I really think the bottom line with many things we try to cheap out on is you get what you pay for and you shouldnt screw around with sight and glasses.

I recently setup a new patient appt for my 4 yr old son at Envision. From the moment I walked in until I left I was treated with care and kindness. Those of you with small kids understand the challenges of getting images taken with the small amount of patience/stillness they have. The staff made it very personable by continually praising him which kept it interesting and fun. We saw Dr. Bryant in which was very thorough in his examination and explained everything in understandable terms. He created a plan of action and made sure I knew he was there for support or questions. On a side note I have written less than 5 reviews in my 30 years of living so I highly recommend Dr. Bryant and this practice especially if you have children.
