As a patient with neuropathic facial pain, I present a challenge for optometrists and opticians. Wearing glasses and/or contacts can be painful propositions if not planned carefully. Because I have never had a doctor who had the patience to walk me through a plan for actually wearing the glasses and contacts that he prescribed me, I have lived the past years in a fog, only occasionally wearing my glasses, shut off from much of the seeing world. Dr. Davis was very attentive to my unique needs, both with respect to my severe facial pain and my extremely dry eye. We discussed other options besides corrective lenses as well, including surgical. He recommended nutritional supplements and dietary improvements for dry eye. When my exam was over, he discussed my needs with the optician who then spent a good deal of time making sure that the frames I chose would be the best possible option for my needs. It is one thing to examine a persons eyes and write them a corrective lens prescription. It is another thing to consider the patient in a holistic way, recognizing that even the best prescription does no good if the patient cant wear the glasses or contacts due to other concerns. Until now, all of the eye doctors I have seen have only been interested in fine tuning prescriptions without any concern for the follow through. Today was the first time I saw an eye doctor discuss my needs with his optician. At my last practice, Im not even sure the two knew each others names! I would give this practice 6 stars if I could. Restoring vision to someone who is facing so many other challenges is a very big deal, indeed.

I was shocked to learn about how damaging the sun can be to the eyes. I had to write and review because I never had an experience like that with my eye doctor back in FL. I felt like I was the only customer in the office. They made me feel comfortable at once. They were efficient and the doctor, Dr Walters is awesome. You can tell that she loves her career. I got the most cool glasses from Joe, the optician and he told me about the best fishing spot I have been to yet since I moved here. Bonus! The glasses took a little longer than expected, and all in all, it was so worth it. I never really thought about getting sunglasses until Dr Walters made it clear that the sun could burn my eyes just like skin can burn. Whoa! They exceeded my expectations, for sure! In my experience, most of the time when people get really good service, they are just happy and go about there business and when people are not happy with service, they complain to the world. It is good to rave about service above and beyond and this is one of those great ones. Happy Trails.

The Doctor I saw was nothing short of phenomenal. Very professional and knowledgeable. She gave me the most thorough optho exam Ive ever had. I would highly recommend her. When I went to get my pair of progressive glasses, thats when things got interesting... Long story short is that I had another appt that I had to get to and the price of 1 pair of progressive eyeglasses was over a thousand dollars. This is my 4th pair of progressives and Im used to spending between three fifty and four hundred dollars. If the docs exam was five hundred and glasses were five hundred, that would be fine. But to pay over a thousand for 1 pair of glasses is ridiculous.

Six months ago I took my son Joshua to have his eyes examed here. We did not see the specialist. Kim Walters we saw a man name Nathan that is not a specialist because we didnt need one for a eye exam. Because of the way they billed this to my insurance I had to pay a co-pay for a specialist. I have gone around and around with optic eyecare and my insurance and when optic eyecare said they would fix it still had to pay for a specialist so that after six months I would stop getting billed over and over. So after this me and my family will not return to this place and will tell all that ask about this place too.

I have found Optix Eye Care to be a very professional eye care practice. I initially came in because I had a twitch in my right eye- and Doctor Kim was so friendly and knowledgeable that I scheduled a visit for my wife and son for the very next week! Every time I come in, Im always greeted with a smile and the enthusiasm that keeps me coming back! Thanks Optix!!

Dr. Walters is very thorough. She takes excellent care of me. She explains my exam very thoroughly. She takes her time with me and does an excellent exam. The staff is very courteous and knowledgeable. They always have such great choices of frames as well as the most updated (high tech) lenses. I highly recommend Dr. Walters. I cant imagine going anywhere else.
