I had almost the exact same negative experience as the other user. I too used the groupon to visit Glenwood village. The customer service was top of the line as everybody including the dentist was very welcoming and engaging. However, after investigating my x-rays using digital cavity detection methods he told me that I had about 8-10 cavities. Keep in mind, I am a person who brushes and flosses daily, and who hasnt had 5 cavities in my entire life, let alone simultaneously. Then, within seconds I went from telling him about graduate school to him giving me a schedule that included an arrangement to fix the different cavities in the coming months for a cost over 1500. I remember having a strong intuition that something didnt seem right about his diagnosis. So I went to my longtime personal dentist for a dental cleaning and x-rays and didnt tell him anything about my visit to Glenwood, and just allowed him to follow his normal process of the cleaning, cavity check, and x-rays. His diagnosis was that I didnt have any cavities, and there was just one spot that I needed to keep an eye on going forward with a slight change in my flossing technique between two of my teeth. Did all of those cavities all just disappear? I doubt it, as holes in your teeth dont just go away. I hesitate to call anybody a fraud, nor am I one of those people who constantly post reviews about every negative experience, but I felt that people needed to be aware of this and be vigilant if they choose to deal with this dentist, especially when another user had the exact same experience as me at glenwood village.

I ended up leaving Dr. Kellehers office. I had been going there for a few years with no problems. I had my fillings replaced and one ended up getting cracked less than a year later causing me to get a temporary filling (to assess for a root canal), a root canal, and a crown. I didnt understand why I was having problems with my filling when I just had had it replaced. I was eventually told it was because of the biology of the tooth, but I had to call, leave messages, and repeatedly email to get this information. I felt like they were avoiding me. I had talked to the receptionist explaining that I feel like I shouldnt have to pay for this and she laughed at me. I asked her if she could explain why it was normal for this filling not to last. Alas, they eventually said it was due to the biology of the tooth, but I mostly left because I had to harass them to get this information. I didnt appreciate that they didnt follow up with me when I was very nice and respectful to them.

I have been a patient at Glenwood Village Dentistry for over 15 years. I love the whole staff - they are very professional and personable. As soon as I walk in the door I am greeted by Barbi. The wait is never long - usually 5 minutes - when Angela, my hygienist, comes to get me. She always remembers my special needs and uses kids wing bites to make my small mouth comfortable and my preference to rinse out my own mouth vs. using spray and suction. All the while Angela does her work she keeps me entertained and distracted from what is going on in my mouth. Dr. Kelleher is an experienced dentist who finds little things before they develop, but thanks to his guidance work is rarely needed. If dental work is needed, he gives noninvasive numbing and little sticks plenty of time to work so my trigeminal neuralgia (a neurological disorder that feels like lightning if not properly treated) is not triggered. I highly recommend Glenwood Village Dentistry.

Im relatively new to this area and tried Dr. Kelleher through a Groupon deal. He tried to get me in for $900+ worth of dental work including three new cavities. He used digital xrays and software to diagnose two of the cavities and had to coax the software to give him the result of cavity present (he preformed the software scan 5 times before it said yes). He never just looked in my mouth. I drove home to Georgia to see my longtime family dentist who took xrays of that area for free and said there was nothing there. I recently had my 6mo checkup with a different dentist in the area and didnt tell them anything about my experience. They also saw nothing in my mouth. Then I told them about the diagnosis and asked them to take a second look and still nothing there. Dr. Brian Kelleher is a fraud and will do anything to get more money, including treating areas that are not in need of any intervention.

I was new to the area three years ago, and have been seeing Dr. Kelleher and his staff ever since. Ive only had 6 month check-ups and my yearly x-rays, but never have experienced them pushing ANY extra work on me like this other user claims. I actually like them for this reason. Theyve never tried to sell me a thing, and are always concerned with what is best for me.They have never been on late on bringing me back for my appointments, usually they are 5-10 minutes ahead of schedule. I had a Canker Soar, I think that what its called, and Dr. Kellher had some medicine that got rid of it in a day with no cost to me. Then he said if I ever got another one, that I should stop in whenever to get it taken care of free of charge.I cant say enough positive things about them. Two of my co-workers have actually started going here for their regular cleanings and have nothing but great things to say as well.

Just went and had my first cleaning a little over a week ago. The staff was super nice, and the lady who cleaned my teeth made me feel right at home. I hadnt been to the dentist in a while so the cleaning was going to be a little rough, so the lady put numbing stuff on my gums to make it easier for me to sit through. Dr. Kelleher is very friendly, and my first appointment went very smoothly. I ended up having to go back to get a filling, which I figured would take 2 or so hours based on my previous fillings. The whole appointment took less than an hour, and I didnt have to wait to be seen. Needles kinda freak me out as well, and getting the shot for the tooth numbing agent, was barely noticeable. The procedure went smooth and Im really happy that I chose to go to them.

Dr. Kelleher is excellent. He was extremely efficient and has all the latest equipment. The Novocain delivery can be a painful experience, but the new machine that smoothly delivers the pain killer, made it virtually painless. I have never seen that before and it is far better than anything I have ever experienced. All the staff members were very friendly, efficient, helpful and very effective. The filling was completed in only 30 minutes and I was out of there. I was very, very happy. This is a great dental practice!! I would highly recommend it.

Ive been going to Glenwood Village Dentistry for 7 years (since I moved to Raleigh). Dr. Kelleher is great as well as the entire staff (very friendly and efficient). Ive never been kept waiting more than a few minutes past my scheduled appointment time. Angela is my hygienist and she is fantastic! If youre looking for a new dentist in Raleigh, you should definitely give them a call.
