The office visit itself was pleasant enough. I had an extraction at another Hudec location approximately 8 days prior to my visit to the Euclid location and because it was so difficult i ended up getting dry socket as well as an infection that spread throughout my jaw and face( the side the extraction was on) The pain was horrible for me. I have had chronic infections unrelated to dental and have been taking a large amount of pain killers and antibiotics because of this over the last few months. I explained to the dentist that I had recently had a prescription for a strong pain killer, Norco ( about 5 days before for 18 tablets) and she wrote a prescription for ten anyway. I left and was unable to fill the prescription because it was out of stock at CVS and Drug Mart. I do not EVER go outside of these pharmacies - and i I go to the same location(s)-as I already know how crazy Ohio is when it comes to pain meds and I did not want to be labeled or harassed. I waited until the following day and went into the office to inform them that I was unable to fill this and asked if there was something else that might help manage the pain. The secretary tricked me however, and requested the prescription telling me that she was going to get the new one. She came back 20 minutes ( roughly) later and told me the Dentist would talk to me. The dentist came out talk to me- mind you we were in front of everyone in the waiting area, not a private room, after printing a prescription history report. She informed me that she shredded the prescription because i had recently had one for the same thing from the last dentist who messed up my extraction. I told her she knew that the day before as I clearly told her and they have access to those records. She told me I could come back next week if i was still in pain ( as if Id actually come back after that shady move). I cant say dont come here because like I said the office visit was okay. Its clean, and comfortable. It is however totally unethical and unprofessional to do see a patient in pain, find evidence of said pain , write a prescription and then shred it. I understand that doctors/dentists have to look out for themselves, why lose your license over one patient? But, i have a real issue with the way things were handled. I was embarrassed and upset because at no point did i ask for medication from her or hide the fact that a week before I had the last dentist write for me.I was open and very honest and said "hey I just had this from this doctor and I am aware that I have had a lot of pain medication recently, this is my situation". At no point did the dentist care to see Ive been taking antibiotics for 2 staph infections from a minor procedure that resulted in my being hospitalized hospitalized in December and again January , and the antibiotics I am taking for my dry socket and infection. The only thing that seemed to matter was a old prescription for under 20 tablets of pain medicine. I wont return because I know that if I got another tooth extracted or any procedure this is how Hudec will operate. I didnt even get enough respect to be pulled off to the side, no, I got to be humiliated in a public forum. Come here if youd like, but if you are sensitive to pain be careful.

I had not been to the dentist in quite some time before now. My employer had changed the provider for my insurance and I was unaware of that. While filling out the paperwork I had I was called up to verify my insurance carrier. I had to step away for a few minutes and contact my employer to update my insurance, upon returning to the counter I was ignored by all the staff while waiting to submit my information. Finally I had to call out to get someone to respond to me. Although I was frustrated with the delay on verification of my insurance , I was not rude to any of the staff, however they were rude to me -pretending that they did not see me standing there. When my paperwork is finally taken from me I sat waiting for several more minutes to be called. When I got tired of waiting I went to the front desk and inquired about how much longer it would be , I was told by one of the staff, I basically had no appointment anymore because of the time it took to verify my insurance coverage and that they might be able to fit me in. Of course, I was not told any of this when they took my paperwork and had me sit back down, also it could not have taken me any more than five to ten minutes to make the call. It also took several minutes past my appointment time to fill out several pages of paperwork so it still would have been past my appointment time once they begin putting together a chart, just a bunch of lame excuses. I was a new patient, this was my first appointment -which would take longer due to that alone. I took this behavior as passive aggressive, rude and unprofessional. I pay for service and I refuse to be treated with disrespect and pay for it too. I walked out and wont be returning. So yes I am taking my business elsewhere. There was no excuse to be rude and unprofessional and judging from the reviews regarding Dr. Y - I very well may have dodged a bullet. The staff behavior must be a reflection of the Doctors rude behavior. If you dont want to be treated as if you are being done a favor while being treated with disrespect and I would recommend taking your business elsewhere like I did. This was my first and last appointment with this terrible office. Dont waste your money or time.

My name is Tim Walton and I am a dental patient at Hudec Dental in Euclid, Ohio. When I found out I had to get dentures, I was scared to death and thought I was too young to have dentures. I thought dentures were for old people. After I did some research on the internet, I found out that there were a lot of young people who have dentures. I didnt have anything to lose plus my teeth were in really bad shape. Whenever I had to smile I always kept my mouth shut, because I didnt want anyone to see how bad my teeth looked. Dr. Irina Yarovitsky assured me that I would look a whole better with dentures. I said to myself "who is she kidding, she doesnt have to wear them"; so I went ahead and had the procedure done. When my dentures were put in my mouth for the first time and I looked in the mirror, I was blown away. I could not get over how good they looked, how natural they looked or how white they looked. I almost started to cry but held back, because I didnt want anyone to think I was a big cry baby. Now, I cant stop smiling; everyone tells me I have a nice smile and how white my teeth are. I would like to thank Dr. Irina Yarovitsky and her staff for giving me my smile, self confidence and my dignity back. I cannot thank them enough.
