Id give it zero stars if I could. I came to my appointment at 9 not realizing that my appointment was actually at 8. The woman said that I was an hour late and I could not reschedule I would have to call everyday and wait for them to have an opening same day. I I showed them on my phone that I obviously must have heard them wrong because I put the appointment in my phone at 9. It was a complete mistake I had taken time off work to be there I obviously would not have missed it on purpose. This was two years ago fast forward to now. I call them because my daughter has a toothache to see if they can get her in and they told me that we can never go there again because we missed one appointment by an hour and then did not follow their rules to make a same-day appointment. Which I did not do with them because that is not something I could do as a single parent working a full-time job. I think its kind of unacceptable to hold parents up to those expectations if it was an accident. I can understand if someone no called no-showed but children get sick and things happen. Ive heard other stories from many other parents about being charged $50 when their child is sick and they have to miss an appointment I just dont think thats acceptable business. Completely unreasonable and really made me feel like an awful person for having made a mistake.

Over the past year I have had my two children, ages 6 and 3 receive their dental care from Dental Specialists of Lake County, and it has been the best possible experience I could have imagined. This is saying a lot because I truly was stressed about starting this process due to my older child having an Autism diagnosis and many sensory/anxiety issues. This entire experience of establishing dental care for my kids was handled with knowledge and compassion from the beginning starting with me. First, Dr. Richards established trust with me by validating my concerns and taking time to show me how well prepared and understanding they are of my sons needs. Next, I was impressed with the beautiful introductory video displayed on the website which was a useful tool to help my son with Autism learn what to expect which is key to reducing anxiety and frustration. During the visit, the staff have interacted with each child in a friendly way that respects their curiosity and makes them feel at ease. Finally, the waiting area has been child friendly and we have never had to wait long which helps my children to avoid having an issue before the appointment even begins.

My experience was awful both times I have gone there with three children of mine. The first time the Doctor held my daughter down. The second time I went, the Doctor held my son down by force and without my permission. I was not even in the room. He was held down even through he was screaming for me. Even after he got his teeth cleaned, the Dentist said, "You are a bad boy, this is unacceptable behavior, you are not getting a prize." They left marks on his wrist. I made a complaint to BBB. My son has autism, meaning he has a sensory problem. No child should be forced, especially without a parents consent. A pediatric dentist is supposed to be loving and caring for our children as her own. That was unethical. Dr. Richards should get her license revoked for treating innocent children like that.

Had an appointment at 9 and 945 for my 2 children. The day of my appt there was a ice storm and on my way I slide off road. I was able to make it to my 940 appt. I get there for them to tell they canceled both my appt. The receptionist tells me shes going to talk to dentist. Fill out the papers. She gets back and tells me she will see my son but because my daughter missed her appt she can never come there again because once you miss an appt you can not come back. I walked out. I was fine with just my son being seen and I would have rescheduled my daughter due to the circumstances but clearly this dentist b early like kids because they only book kids for the morning. If I could I would rate this place no stars.

My children (3 and 6) actually enjoy going to the Dentist with "all the polar bears". We started going here after we were referred by my dentist because my 6 year old had a large number of cavities early on and therefore needed to see a specialist. Dr. Miller has been very good to us, talked us through the options, and we decided to go with getting them all done at once while my child was under anaesthesia at Euclid Hospital. I was very glad to have that option because I think it saved my child from having the same fear of the dentist I have due to my large number of fillings as a child. (We have great genetics).

This place is a joke! I called in the day before to reschedule my daughters appointment because she was not feeling well and they "punished" us by saying we could not reschedule and would have to try calling daily to see if there were any cancellations. We will not be calling daily nor returning here. Our previous dental cleaning appointments lasted under 5 minutes, I could have completed the dental cleaning myself at home and saved my insurance company the money. Dr Andrea was always kind but the office staff is very impersonal and rude.

They refuse to see my 3 year old son now because he cried at his last 2 yearly appointments. A pediatric dentist that cant handle (or even attempt to make a child feel comfortable) a crying child? This had no effect on his appointment and I sat in the chair and held him the entire time. In addition, they told me nothing of this at his last appointment and waited to tell me this when I called to make his next appointment. I really liked this dentist before, but now theyve lost business from all 3 of my children.

They think money grows on trees. They do not offer any kind of payment plan and expect payment in full before services are rendered. They would not see my daughter over $56.00. They said "if its only $56.00 then why dont you just pay it now."
