I think Dr. Kirchner is very good, but the office practice needs review. The vet has prescribed eye drops for my 14 year cocker spaniel. My dog has been using the eye drops for over two years. I called the vet to get more of the eye drops because we have run out. The office technician says my dog must visit the vet again to get the prescription renewed. But they have no appointments available until September 2017. This means my dog goes without the medication for over two months. What kind of vet prescribes a medication to prevent blindness and then is not available to renew it when needed. When I asked about other options the technician referred me to a eye vet in Clackamas. So in addition to not really caring if my dog has the medication they are ok to send my business elsewhere. As mentioned earlier I believe the vet does good work. I am not sure they really have the pets best interests in mind. July 7, 2017

Great doctor but making an appointment is so difficult and their process is terrible on cancellations. I would not recommend going here based on that alone. My particular experience was making an appointment months in advance (you have to do this). They called the day before hand to remind me. When I called back the very next day they had already cancelled and filled my appointment. This is a huge health concern for my pet and the next open date was over 2 months away!! I had been coming here for years and had never missed or been late to an appointment.

Dr Kirschner is highly knowledgeable, pleasant and easy to work with, and my animals love her (especially my cat, who will not let her stop petting him until hes satiated!). Great with shy, anxious, frightened dogs, calming them with her genuine caring. Thorough. I feel confident in her diagnoses, opinions and treatments, and definitely recommend her. Shes treated 2 of my dogs and 2 of my cats; weve been seeing her since 2011. Also, her staff is amazing and very helpful.

I called to make an appointment for my cat. Mabel made me feel like I was bothering her. She was short and she was rude cutting me off at each sentence. If I answered a question she would repeat it as something else. When I tried to correct her, she acted perturbed at me. She told me the doctor was too busy but could refer me to someone else. Very frustrating. Is she a good doctor? So I hear... If you can see her.. you have to get passed Mabel first.

The doctor is amazing! Our 7 year old chihuahua went blind with cataracts after her battle with heart worm last year. The doctor said she was a prime candidate for the surgery, so we went ahead with it 3 weeks ago and I could not be more pleased! Our dog is young again. She is chasing pigeons on her walks and she is so excited to be able to see again. All of the staff at the office have been great, so helpful and kind. I fully recommend going here!

Was referred to Dr. Kirschner by my vet after finding out my pup had a splinter in his eye. She was booked out for the whole day but they held my pup for me until they could fit him in and had me come back over. A couple eye drops and some very impressive tweezer work got a splinter out today which would have required surgery tomorrow. Had she not been so kind to fit him in it would have cost both me and my pup lots of heartache (and money!)

Our vet referred us to Dr. Kirschner when our dog received a nasty eye puncture wound from a neighborhood cat. The Animal Eye Doctor clinic was able to squeeze us in for the emergency, and they were so patient and caring for my dog who was stressed and in great pain. His eyes are healing fabulously and his vision saved with careful and prompt administration of antibiotics and pain meds. Highly recommended!!

Love Dr. Kirschner. She has worked with me to keep my pug from looking like a pirate. The previous dog eye specialist told me not to own a pug. My vet recommended her. I feel her expertise is expansive for something so specialized. Over the 2 years of visits, Ive been both ushered in promptly and waited. Understandable with eyes. Happy to wait for another creature in bigger trouble. Highly recommend.

Dr. Kirschner and her staff are the best. They were able to fit my dog in on an emergency basis and really helped to turn around a bad corneal ulceration. My regular vet didnt treat the injury aggressively enough which lead to a bad infection. Dr. Kirschner immediately increased the dose of medication and his eye is now completely healed. I would definitely recommend Dr. Kirschner and her staff !!

Dr. Kirschner is just the best. After a mistake by another local veterinarian, Sadie my sweet 7 year old kitty was blinded in her right eye by being given the wrong medication. Dr. Kirschner and her staff were all SO amazing with Sadie and have been such a joy to work with the last six months we have been trying to get Sadies eye healthy again. I highly recommend her.!

Topaz had a really bad infection in her inner eyelid. It swelled up and covered her entire eye. The vet gave us the wrong eye drops which made things worse. We were referred to the eye dr for an emergency visit. I though Topaz was going to lose her eye but Dr. Kirschner fixed her infection and without any damage to her eye. Thank you!

Dr. Kirshner is by far one of the best pet doctors we have ever taken our dog to. She was very patient with our puppy and help us out immensely! I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone needing help with pet vision. As this is a very specialized field, I understand that there may be a wait or delay in getting in.
