I cant say enough about how much Murrayhill Vet did for us and our 1 year old aussiedoodle, Rae, over the last month. Dr. Hardesty discovered that she was going into kidney failure and needed to go to Dove Lewis for the weekend. She worked tirelessly for 3 weeks trying to figure out what caused the kidney failure. Dr. Hardesty went above and beyond...she probably had 8-9 specialists involved in the case and never once made me feel guilty for how she did for us. She also never seemed bothered by my numerous phone calls every day. Dr. Hardesty even gave me her personal cell number and encouraged me to contact her if needed. There were a couple times we talked on the phone at 10pm. She was very dedicated!!! Right before Christmas we found out our little girl had lymphoma and would need to put her down due to the progression of the disease. We were completely heartbroken but Dr. Hardesty was so comforting during the process. She was not afraid to show her emotion, which showed how much she truly did care for our pup. Not only was Dr. Hardesty incredible but so was all the rest of the staff. Kim, one of the receptionists, was so caring and loving towards Rae during this. Rae spent every day for a week at Murrayhill on IV fluids. When we would come get her in the evening Kim would tell us how Rae was her lunch date. She also called on her own will several times to see how Rae was doing. Not only was Dr. Hardesty involved with Rae but all the other doctors were involved as well, trying to figure out what was going on. I would recommend any of those Dr.s. We feel truly blessed by all the love and care from everyone at Murrayhill! Yes, they may be more expensive than other vet clinics but they are worth it. When we get another puppy we will be returning (with pet insurance this time!).

I have been taking my dogs and cats to Murrayhill for four years, and I cant imagine taking them anywhere else! The dogs LOVE going there. I originally went there because my dog was limping, and another vet said the limp was in my imagination. Dr. Zawadzki was the first vet to see him at Murrayhill, and she had him walk and identified the "imaginary" limp as an actual limp. She prescribed pain meds and limited activity, and he improved very quickly. Since then, we have been through an early bone cancer diagnosis, leg amputation (at another clinic to which Murrayhill referred us), chemo (at a veterinary oncologist to which Murrahill referred us), skin issues, kidney failure, and a cat euthanasia. The staff has been amazing for all of it. When we decided it was time to end our 16 year old cat in kidney failures suffering, Dr. Hardesty took time in the middle of a totally full day to come to our house with a technician to do the euthanasia where our boy would be most comfortable. They communicated everything very clearly as they were doing it, and handled it all very professionally. They didnt rush anything despite the fact that they actually squeezed us in, and they didnt say anything about money at all. I called the following day to settle up without them contacting me about it, which I found very respectful. We have seen every vet at Murrayhill with the exception of Dr. Goodman, and I cant say enough great things about them. They are like family to us!

If you have deep pockets, this is the place for you. Could never get out of there for less than $300-$350 each visit, and this was for routine and/or single-issue visits. Always a lab fee, a skin sample (fee) taken on a slide for microscopic analysis (my dog has a history of the same yearly skin allergy - is this really necessary??), etc. Would not prescribe Sentinel, even after I kept telling them Trifexis was giving my dog an upset stomach. Sentinel has ALWAYS protected my dog nicely. There was always a fee, a fee, a fee. OVERKILL with their treatment recommendations. When we would tell them "no" well wait on neutering or teeth cleaning, constant reminders in office, by phone or via e-mail for these services. Our current vet takes a conservative approach, and my dog has a clean bill of health; minor tarter NOT requiring a teeth cleaning and mixed medical reviews on whether neutering a male dog is of benefit as doing so can cause weight gain and other health issues. My current vet also talks WITH my husband and I (not AT US) to discuss our lifestyle, home environment, and whats best for our dog. They treat what is necessary and are proactive without nickel and dime-ing. Recently found out from an acquaintance that they had the same "up selling" experience and stopped going here, too. Will not be back.

My wife had called Murrayhill Veterinary Hospital with some questions about our cat’s symptoms. They were concerned and requested that we bring her in ASAP. Dr. Horlings was VERY patient with my many questions. The office was busy, but she was in no hurry to move to the next patient. She took the time to go through the various complex options we had and explained the risks, advantages, and expectations of those options. She seemed very thorough in her assessment and diagnostics. My family was very emotional about our family pet. Dr. Horlings, as well as the rest of the staff, seemed genuinely concerned; which was impressive since they seem to take care of a lot of patients. The office was very clean, with lots of space to keep distance between pets, seemed organized, and very professional. Each staff member was attentive to the details of our pet’s comfort and also very patient. I wish I could remember their names, because each of them deserves individual credit. Vets, and their staff, have a tough job. The vets I’ve visited in the past have been great. That being said, I don’t think you could ask for a better place to care for your pet than Murrayhill Veterinary Hospital.

So our cat has had a throught problem for a while, and we took her to see what is going on. They had NO IDEA what it might be, looked like her throught was inflammed, wanted to run about $800.00 in test, just to see what it was, then said she probably needs a teeth cleaning. We even had a coupon for a free initial exam and still spent over $100.00. After a month of using a tooth paste to torture our beloved kitty, nothing helped, she just got worse. We just got back from COMPANION animal clinic on murray and allan, and within 3 minutes she was diagnosed with a bacterial problem, given a water additive to help, a shot of corizon to bring down the inflamation, and an antibiotic that should have her feeling better in a bout a week, and she should start eating again today. All that, and we only spent $96.00 and she is feeling better already. I find it hard to believe that Murrayhill Veterinary hospital had no clue what was wrong with her, and needed to take as much money as they could to get a simple diagnosis. Thanks for prolonging the agony for our kitty, shes finally feeling much better now.

My dog has been a patient there for about 6 months now and we have always received the best treatment from the staff, techs, and doctors. I was having difficulty choosing which clinic to take him to, but ultimately decided at Murrayhill Veterinary Hospital. When I inquired about services through their website, they were very prompt to reply with a phone call and really cared about my dog and the services I was seeking. The facilities are very well kept and I love how they have the wood chip area right outside their doors. The staff is extremely gracious and welcoming when you come in, and the techs are great at explaining procedures and types of treatments. Dr. Liz was patient and did not make me feel rushed when I had many questions. I had an "emergency" call a few days ago wondering if I should take my dog in since he got in contact with a wild animal. Bridgette was wonderful and answered my questions, and gave me the necessary information I needed. She was also verh understand which put me at ease. I cant see myself taking my dog anywhere else.
