Dr. Wirsig is very nice and efficient at my sons appointments. Thats where the 3 stars comes from but the front desk employees with the exception of MAYBE 2 have been really unhelpful. Ive been passed along to different desks just to schedule an appointment then told by the next desk that the previous desk shouldnt be putting me off on them. Very awkward. I called today for my son since hes been sick now for a week. I called, waited in queue from 5 to 2 then left 2 voicemails 45 minutes apart which still havent been returned. I called at 1pm its now 2:40pm and all I was told from the nurse over the phone is that she relayed my message.. no eta, no information, just that theres 6 more calls in queue. Pretty disappointing and the girl on the phone sounded less enthused to even talk to me so yeah I did give her a little attitude but it was needed!

I love Salem pediatrics. I went here when I was a kid and my pediatrician was also my sons pediatrician until she retired. Now we have Dr. Stout and she is great and very friendly. My son isnt scared of her like he is to most doctors. I noticed someone commented on a rude triage nurse. I believe its the same one I always get when my son is sick. She is always rude and condescending. Like one time, my son had a fever and was throwing up. She asked if I gave him medicine (I did) and she rudely said "well okay if he has had medicine then he doesnt have a fever anymore, correct?" I said "No, not currently but if it wasnt for the medicine then he would." It seems like she wants to spend more time arguing then trying to help. I get rude comments and remarks every time I talk to her. Thats the only thing I dont like about Salem Pediatrics.

I had the most horrible experience with this place, my son woke up at 11:15 am and started complaining his throat hurt, my daughter had just been diagnosed with strep so I immediately called them to get him in not knowing if they were open or what there hours were. The triage nurse, Sara asked me if I wanted to bring him in on Sunday or Monday I said I want to bring him in now as I know strep can be very bad if not treated right away. She then said to me if you are so concerned about your son why are you just now calling us 30 min before we close. I was shocked she had the nerve to say that to me. Then when we got there they had us waiting in the dark and then when the doctor came in to give us the strep results she had her backpack on and rushed us out. Horrible horrible!

We were unsure about our visit after leaving. The Doctor was pushy and asked for more information than we thought she needed about people other than our daughter who she was seeing. During the visit we tried to explain that we wanted to hold off giving our daughter more vaccines because she had a surgery scheduled and cannot be sick for it, we explained that we are not against vaccinating but just wanted to wait. She treated us as if we were stupid and talked down to us as if we were unfit to be parents. We made our displeasure know. Shortly after while we were trying to get things finalized for our daughters surgery we got a letter saying they would not see her any longer. I would tell anyone to stay away from this clinic.

I called and waited in a queue of 8 which then passed me off to a nurse assessor (queue of 7), who passed me to the triage nurse (queue of 12). When I put in the request to have them call me back instead of wait in the queue, they called back, missed me, and left me with the starting telephone number which now had a queue of 10. After that, I was passed to the 2nd nurse assessor who had 2 in the queue, and finally to the office which said "Im sorry, but were all busy. Please leave your name and well get back to you by the end of the business day." This all took 1.5 hours and I still dont have any idea when theyll call.

Really convoluted bad policies make for a nightmare when trying to do something as simple as a vaccination. Staff over the phone are always rude and just repeat the same things over again; youll have to stop and slow them down to get any real information out of them. The physician stared at a computer screen and hurriedly checked off boxes before running out of the room before anything could even be talked about. I wouldnt recommend this to anyone with a child with any real health issues. Though their policies make even simple run of the mill things a bother to deal with.

I love SP they always have same day appointments throughout the day, are open on the weekends for a few hours both Saturday and Sunday, Dr. Koltear and Dr. Ronai rock! They are quick once you are in clinic, yes they do have a wait time if youre waiting to talk to the triage nurse but I would rather wait to speak to one when I know I will be booked for an appt. && yes they do have a wait time when you book a physical or any other type of appointment. But I mean it is a clinic and they do have patients in the office they need to get to first.

Absolutely horrible front staff you can call until you are blue in the face and you will still not get an answer or a return phone call. The doctor was good with our child Dr. Vu but we had trouble with the front receptionists. Also called to let them know we would arrive 15 minutes late and had to take off work for the appointment which they cancel for being late. You just lost a patient. Not acceptable I would not recommend.

Nice huge building located off of 13th St.SE with plenty of parking near by. I drove here to meet my daughter and my grandkids for one of their appointments. They have cute little built in the wall fish tanks in each waiting room that I was in. The kids & I really enjoyed the different kinds of little fish they had in the tanks.

The worst place if ever been and Im a disabled veteran. I know bad places, but the doctor really didnt know what she was saying. And the nurse seriously needs to go back to school. But actually PAY ATTENTION this time. I thought you had to go through, Child development class to work with kids.. but not here...

The doctors here are awesome. Ive never had a problem with the front desk staff. Theyre always friendly but BUSY. Getting to your appointment 10 min early is a must. Theyre too busy to hold everything if youre late and will absolutely make you reschedule.

I guess everyone has their good and the bad experiences with this childrens clinic. For me, it has been wonderful smooth with my kids appointment. Kind and fast in the process rather than my experience at the Salem Hospital over by liberty street!

Doctor Ronai and the staff have taken excellent care of my son from the first infant wellness check, fifteen years ago. Always helpful and get us in as soon as possible. The fact that they insist on vaccinations is a bonus.
