These people are crooks. They ask you if you want a blood test for your dog and neglect to tell you that its almost $250.00 / dog. When we called to discuss our issue, they tried to sell us more services and offered no apology or refund. There are much better, honest vets in the area. Do not use this vet if you want a fair price. 3/23/17....In reply to the Vets comments..... I have some further questions/concerns based on her response. In actuality, I waited in the waiting room for approximately 15 minutes (after only arriving approximately 5 minutes late.) I am left wondering why during this large window of time, I was not handed this supposed "wellness screens and their costs" list. If not during this time frame, there was another large window of time as I waited for approximately 10 minutes for the vet while in the exam room. When I spoke with the vet by telephone about initial concerns on my bill, I was told that I should have thought to cancel the blood work while checking out that day, and that at this point it is too late to do so. I was given a doubtful response that anything could be done to alleviate some of the cost, but that the owner would be notified and contact me. I have yet to hear from the owner, even though I have called requesting to speak with her twice. Also, in the written response below, it was stated that I was given a "cost estimate for the exam and vaccinations" prior to the visit. This is not accurate. I was not given anything stating costs at any time, albeit a last minute appointment. It was also written that I requested the blood tests, when in fact they were recommended to me by the vet since my dogs are seniors. At this point, I strongly feel that this is when the actual cost of the blood tests should have been revealed and gone over clearly. By allowing this point to be overlooked to a new customer is unethical. My usual vet has always done such. I am at a loss as to why this information wasnt conveyed in one way or another. I also need to point out that there were 2 vaccinations given that were not needed (rabbies and distemper). This should have been listed in the paperwork faxed over from my other vet during the time of the appointment. Since the costs of each vaccine was anywhere from $13- $24 higher than our usual vet, this amounted to a large increase as well. I do understand that your cost is based off of what medical suppliers and labs charge you. However, your prices are not competitive with others in the area. On a positive note, I will say that the vet caring for our dogs had a very good demeanor with them and put them at ease. I am appreciative of this and your willingness to see us on short notice. Thank you.

I am a first time dog owner and recently took my new puppy here. The nurses and front desk staff were all very welcoming and helpful. The doctor explained everything in detail regarding vaccinations, heartworm prevention and flea/tick products and how often I need to use them. I had a ton of questions and I was able to get them all answered during my appointment. The doctor was not rushed and took her time with me and my puppy. The nurses knew how to handle my puppy being squirmy and not wanting his nails trimmed. The scheduling process was very easy and I was able to get an appointment time that was flexible for my schedule. I will be recommending my friends to this vet hospital!

Our Scottish Terrier has been under the care of Animal Clinic of Thorndale for nearly 10 years. We like and trust the entire staff with our little guy. The facility is clean and I feel that they go above and beyond in helping us manage a tough case of cancer in conjunction with two local veterinary specialists. I can recommend them without hesitation.

Ive been going to Thorndale Animal Clinic since 2003 or so. The vets have always been great and I have always had wonderful service no matter which vet one of my pets sees. Doesnt matter if its the dogs or the cats, its always great service.
