I am SHOCKED at the bad reviews saying the staff if rude and its all about the money... The base visit is only $49 which is the cheapest around. I have never been pressured into vaccines, bloodwork, or extra services. I just took my senior cat and they suggested senior blookwork eventually but assured me it was no rush and couls wait if money was tight. In 08 I had a hamster born with only top teeth meaning her food had to be ground into a powder and her teeth trimmed every 2 weeks... This was stressful for both of us so I wanted to get them removed. Exeter was the only vet willing to even talk about the surgery. They quoted me $250 for the 2 pre op exams and the surgery. Due to complications the bill ended up being over $1000! But do you know what happened? The vet office only charged me the $250 they originally quoted. This office is wonderful! I have had a few times where my cats got stressed in the waiting room and I had to ask to go back early. I have absolutely NEVER gotten attitude from any of the staff about this, in fact the last time I felt bad asking because 2 emergencies came in at the same time and the front desk and vet assured me it was no problem and they were glad I said something because they dont want any animal stressed out. I love this place and they truly care about the animals, I have recommended many friends and family and they all love the staff (and pricing too!).

I did not like this veterinarian so called hospital By any means.. I actually showed up 30 minutes early and they made the appointment 40 minutes late.... The only reason we actually got to go to the back was because I went to the counter and complained about how late it was... The lady snorted and went to the back and got the nurse.... That then took another 10 minutes and when she finally came out she was complaining about having to take us In The first place.... This being my first time there had me appaled..... Second Im not too too worried about the bill but yall are very expensive. Thirdly they diagnosed my fiances cat that I rescued at the p.r.l with a skin bacteria and mites, but the medicine they gave us hasnt worked. The cats condition has actually gotten worse..... And for anyone to say its our jobs to take care of our animals should know I feed and water my cat 3 times a day change her litter box out every day and she has treats and toys I take care of her as the owner I should. It is the vets job to fix the problem without being unprofessional. ..... Tighten Up exeter veterinarian hospital .... Im def a customer that will nisot be returning If I could put half a star I would..

I am so incredibly happy with Dr Achtel and all the amazing staff. I brought my chinchilla here for an emergency visit, for what I thought could be a possibly fatal issue. I called first thing in the morning and they were able to get me an appointment in just 2 hours. Time was definitely important in this situation. I was so glad they were able to get me in on such short notice. Upon arrival, all the employees were super kind and helpful. I loved Dr. Achtel! It is really hard to find a vet that is experienced in chinchillas. I was very please with how Dr. Achtel handled, diagnosed and treated my fur baby. I could tell that he knew what he was doing and that made me feel much more comfortable and less stressed about the whole situation. I definitely recommend Dr. Achtel to any and all chinchilla owners! I will be bringing my chinchillas here from now on :) as far as pricing goes, I thought it was more than reasonable.

I started going to Exeter Veterinary Hospital when I got my first dog, Mavis, as a puppy in 1999 and took her there her whole life until she passed away recently at almost 17 years old. I have always had great experiences with all their vets and staff over the years and am now taking my newly adopted rescue, Sunny, to see Mavis vet, Dr. Achtel. You can tell everyone there truly loves animals and they treat your pets as if they were their own. Ive never had a problem getting last-minute appointments when necessary and their fees have always been very reasonable. I will continue to take Sunny and any other pets I have to Exeter Veterinary Hospital.

The worst veterinarian office experience I have ever had. The ladies behind the counter are not friendly and at times rude. I asked very detailed questions about the charges before I made the appointment and when I went to pay, the charges were three times higher. I told them how very upset I was at this and they said, "Oh, the person who explained the charges to you was mistaken" I ended up having to pay a HUGE bill for what is a couple minutes of a service at my old vet. ITS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY HERE. DO NOT TAKE YOU PETS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will be telling everyone I know about this horrible experience.

I have been going to Exeter Vet. Hosp. Since I got my first cat in 1998. Yes, I will admit that they are expensive, but they are a hospital, The staff have always been friendly, caring and wonderful, no matter who the doctor is that I have seen and there has been changes over the years. They were especially caring when I had to have my first cat pts and gave me much time as I needed to say goodbye. They even used some of their fund money to pay part of her hospital stay. Although I use other clinics for shots from time to time, Exeter is still the place that I trust.

If you want to take you beloved pet to a place that favors money over the health of your pet, this is the place to take them. The veterinarian that examined my dog had no personality and was extremely cold-hearted. I would recommend going to a place that favors your pets health above and beyond everything else, especially money. I take my pets to the Oley Valley Animal Clinic. The staff is very friendly and the veterinarians care about your pets. Of course it is still a business, but they value your pets before money.

When one of our cats was sick, they were great and saved his life. Now our other cat is sick and its very upsetting and emotional for us. Weve been calling every day for test results and today, a week later, one of the people snapped on us. Honestly, its your job to take care of animals.. As she declines and we have to watch as this sweet, super loving 2 year old cat struggles, Id appreciate some compassion! Seriously, we are just concerned about our fur baby.

My family and I have been taking our furry family members to Exeter Vet Hospital for years! My family and I find the doctors and staff to be very professional and respectful to us and extremely caring and loving to our dogs and cats. The hospital is always clean and welcoming. Years later, my fiancé and I take our new puppy to this hospital even though we live almost an hour away!

Took my cat, he was having problems eating. They will do dental x-rays next week. His bottom lip is swollen, was not eating dry food, seemed to be hurting. Currently on antibiotics that have reduced the swelling. He is eating now. Back teeth might need to be pulled. Nice veterinarian and techs and front office personal.
