Horrific. Ever since Cumberland Family Practice closed and my doctor moved here, its been a nightmare. It would be easier to find street drugs than to speak to someone. I called 5 minutes after opening, the teleprompter stated the wait was over 30 minutes and that if I left a call back request, my call would be returned in the order it was received. No call. I called again an hour and a half prior to the office closing, choosing to wait as the teleprompter this time said the wait was 30 minutes. Ive now been listening to the same recorded bs for 01:30:28, and just looked at the hours online, they are now closed. Meanwhile, I contacted a real eye doctor, went there for treatment at a specialist rate, and will STILL need to get a referral backdated to today once I do talk to them or Ill have to pay out of pocket for todays treatment. Trust me, I will be finding a new PCP. I have yet to call when the call queue said the wait was less than 30 minutes. This is unacceptable. They need reported to the BBB and any other organization that protects patients and their rights.

In the last two years Good Hope Family Physicians has sent me letters saying that 1) my long standing physician was leaving the practice (good hope made her leave because she was taking too long with each of her patients) because she wasnt meeting the established quota of patients per hour. I was then told that my care giver would be a nurse practitioner- she left within 6 months. The I was told that I would be seen by another physician. He left the practice within 4 months. Then I was told that I would be placed with another physician; she was there approximately 1 year. I just received another letter saying that she too is leaving the practice. She was good and took her time with her patients. I suspect that good hope let her go because she wasnt meeting the quota of patients per hour. Good Hope is about the money- not about the healing and care of the patient. I have been a long standing patient of this practice, since 1993 but no longer. I will be leaving and advise anyone else to do the same.

I have been going to Good Hope for about 5 years now and I absolutely love every person I have come in contact with there. The staff is always courteous and they really care about their patients. Here are some of the great things: I can always get in the same day for acute situations. I always get a return phone call when I leave a message. The doctors will spend as much time as necessary to help you. They have the ability to draw blood for labs in house. The reason I gave only 4 stars is that they have recently become part of Pinnacle Health Systems and since that time my phone calls and faxes go to a central location, not at Good Hope. While I still get all the great care I have come to expect, having to go through a third party for calls and faxes is not advantageous for anyone. With this system it takes 2-3 days for a fax to be received by the Doctor. Not great when in this day and age faxes should be going into a secure server that can be viewed by the Doctor almost immediately.

I have been a patient with the same doctor at Good Hope for over 7 years and I adore her and the staff. They are friendly, helpful, and care about their patients. It is sometimes difficult to get an appointment for routine care last minute because they are a busy practice. But if you give enough notice, no problem. I have never been turned away for acute situations - they always fit me in. My doctor is often behind on appointments because she takes her time with each patient and is very thorough. I know and expect it and work around it. Reading the previous bad reviews surprised me... Like any business, they are not able to drop everything for everyone to handle an "emergency" that could have been planned for. They answer messages same day, which is reasonable. If you have an emergency, there are always walk in clinics or the ER as a supplement to your GP. They do a terrific job taking care of their patients and I will stick with them and my doctor to the end!

As I have been a member at Good Hope for 22 years, I can say that I have seen a lot of changes within this establishment that are not beneficial to the patients. This place has really went downhill over the past couple years. Waiting within the practice is always longer than anticipated, upwards of 2 hours over the appointment time. Phone calls seem rushed, and they dont seem to have their patients needs as a priority; they transfer you from person to person, until you get an answering machine, and are forced to call back and wait again to speak to a representative. It seems ever since theyre merge with bigger companies they simply look at their patients as a number. I dont recommend being a patient here if you expect to have your needs met in a timely manner. Good luck to anyone going here, as Im sure you will find all of this out yourself upon visiting the establishment.

TERRIBLE since it Pinnacle. for Example: Ive had a rx for a class ii scheduled drug from GH for nearly 10 years that GH always just used their electronic Rx pad to send it right to my pharmacy. This past time I called the pharmacy for a refill on a Wednesday and they couldnt refill it. Thinking that the RX had run out, I asked them to fax it to GH like they have done many times in the past. I get a voicemail at 3:30 on a Friday of a holiday weekend from GH that my Rx can be picked up at their office. Well of course its closed for the weekend so I cant pick up the damn piece of paper and deliver it to my pharmacy until TUESDAY. Good thing it wasnt a life threatening drug that I needed. I feel for those folks that are elderly and cant DRIVE to get a piece of paper so that they can get their drugs. UNBELIEVABLE BAD SERVICE. AND IT KEEPS GETTING WORSE!!!

I have not been pleased with the services at this office the past few years. There has been huge changes here and not for the good that I am able to see. I have struggled to get my phone calls answered, struggled to get callbacks, and now struggling to get an appt. I have talked about finding a new doctor but just didnt do so. Today, I called for an appt for a problem that Im having and it is scheduled for 2 weeks from now. Not pleased to say the least, I guess I will be on the hunt for a new doctor at another practice. I miss the days when Dr. Denise Harr worked here and was my primary, she was great.

I have been a patient since 1992, and service and quality have gone down significantly since the purchase by PinnacleHealth. It routinely takes 20-30 minutes to make an appointment for care, and while the people answering the phones are polite, it is obvious they are understaffed. Also, it will take over 6 weeks for my son to receive an evaluation he needs, and they will not call me if there is a cancellation in order to get him seen sooner. Clearly this is the new normal of patient care. Not impressed.
