I had high hopes after reading some of the reviews on Dr. Lim. However, after several visits, it appears her interest at heart is financial. I went in there with the last two contact lens prescriptions from my previous eye doctor, the fact I was having trouble seeing clearly, that the previous doctor said my astigmatism doubled in my left eye, and I have been monitored for glaucoma for years. She did an exam, gave me a trial pair of lenses, and did a field test. I went back towards the end of that month (December) and was told I should have their full glaucoma testing which would couldnt be scheduled until the following year. Prior to that return visit, I was not informed my eye pressure was of concern. Because the tests couldnt be scheduled until after the first of the year, I had to refuse them because I wouldnt have insurance that would cover the costs. I left that visit with another set of trial lenses, in a brand I told her I couldnt tolerate, which was Proclear. I went back in January and picked up a trial lens in the correct brand and was given a prescription. I told her that I had been wearing an old pair of lenses since so much time elapsed from the first trial, and I couldnt do a proper comparison. I was told to call if there was a problem. A little later in the month I received an insurance benefit statement for a glaucoma test (several hundred dollars). I called the office and they got back to me telling me they use a third party to bill, and it was a mistake on their part. They did get it corrected, but it wasnt the billing companys fault, as they only bill what they are told to bill. During that call I raised the issue that I wasnt seeing clearly, and wanted to know the prescription change that was made. I went back and forth with the office assistant about my contact lenses and she was going to have the doctor call me, which she didnt. I then followed up a month later reminding the office that I was still waiting for that call, and was told they would check with her. I finally caught up with the office, and was told I had to come in, and given an appointment for a couple days later. I got a call the day of the appontment telling me there would be a charge; that Dr. Lim would not see me or rewrite the prescription. Very unprofessional and in my opinion, not patient-oriented at all. My recommendation is that you do not use this practice if you want patient-centered care.

Posted this on YELP, too. I fired Dr. Lim as my optometrist and here is why: Dr. Lim is a good clinician, but I found her business practices to be a horrible way to interact with me as a patient. I do not recommend going here for contact lenses. It feels like being prevented from accessing health care. My experience was Dr. Lims office applying way too much control from managing every aspect of buying and getting a re-order of contact lenses, which made it too expensive for me in stress and price. I have worn contact lenses since 1985, so I feel comfortable managing how I purchase them, and how much to order and when I need more. Until becoming a patient of Dr. Lims in 2016, I always took care of ordering lenses on my own. With a prescription, of course. But when my on-line vendor called Dr. Lims office to confirm the valid Rx, which says right on the front that it is valid until August 2017, the vendor reported Dr. Lims office LIED and said it was expired. When it is still valid for another 4 months! So now I have to go through the hassle to schedule an appointment at $$$ cost to me. Im guessing its a solid profit for her office. I am being forced to order a replacement supply through her office at $$$ cost to me, which is a significant mark-up in price than my on-line vendor. Its easier for me to find another office willing to work with my needs as a patient. Lower cost and a less stressful experience. Go here if you need your eyes checked, but beware if you need or want contact lenses.

I went to see Dr. Lim because my insurance referred me to her office. I went in thinking I needed new eyeglasses. Dr. Lim was honest with me and told me I had cataracts and needed surgery instead. She told me to save my money and dont waste it on new eyeglasses. Instead, she and her staff took care of everything from scheduling the consultation with the surgeon, getting my referrals from my insurance for the surgeon, and held my hand through the next 45 days after surgery. She has a genuine care for her patients and always puts their health and well being FIRST.

I saw Dr. Jane Lim The Optometrist for Skippack Eye Care. She gave me the most thorough eye exam Ive ever experienced. She is not only extremely knowledgeable, but also a genuinely nice person. She uncovered health issues that I have since addressed and am better for having done so. In addition, the staff was very courteous and helpful with my eyeglasses and contacts (seeing great and looking much more fashionable). Dr. Lim has a great chair-side manner. The exam was thorough and comforting. She took the time to talk to me about changes in my vision and how they relate to age. After that, the staff helped me fit new contact lenses and pick out new frames. Ive received nothing but compliments on my new glasses! As an added bonus, they can usually cut the glasses and have them available in a day.

We were seen promptly. I had the most thorough eye exam ever. Dr. Lim spends time to educate and explain everything in an easy manner and took the time to answer every single question I had. O highly recommend her office to anyone who cherishes their eyes and vision.

Dr. Lim is very helpful and gives a very thorough exam. I have recommended her to my family and they enjoyed her as well. The staff was very nice and helpful. Their glasses selection is fantastic. They have a large variety of styles.

They are prompt and thorough. DR LIm answers all questions clearly and follows up with you. I just got new glasses and they are fabulous. This is the best eye care I have ever received in 54 years of needing glasses.
