Worst experience ever in the ER. Insensitive and indifferent nurses. Asked them to check on the status of X-Ray and they just walked away and never came back apparently unwilling to be bothered by our petty requests. ER doctor was pathetic. Could not recognize a simplest case of nursemaid’s elbow (radial head subluxation). Doctor could not properly perform the maneuver and did X-ray. Though the X-ray showed nothing, indicated a “hairline fracture” – I guess it’s easier to invent a non-existing diagnosis than to accept a failure to diagnose and cure. Released 3 hours later with splint and no cure. Two days later a real local doctor put the elbow back in less than 10 minutes. No sign of fracture.

Aug. 2, 2006. I was taken to Wayne Memorial by ambulance for a dislocated ankle. The amount of morphine given me for the Doctor to put my ankle back to normal was a joke. Then he tells me to go home, gives me percocet, says to come back the next morning to meet the Orthopedic surgeon, then come back the day after that for the surgery. Knowing if it was a good hospital they would have knocked me out with morphine and admitted me. So I went home then I went back to my mothers who I was visiting. And went to Scranton the next day. First thing they did was knock me out with morphine. I did not ask them to do that. Of course they admitted me. The doctor did the surgery the next day.

Went to the hospital today with the same pain I have been having for 3 months, went through every test and the t still have found nothing. What I dont understand is why would you have a patient rate their pain, my pain was very severe today, thats the reason I come to the ER is for relief and to know whats wrong. I want k at there and suffer while any test results come back.

Waited 5 hours for stitches when the ER was empty. The Nurse acted like I asked her for a kidney when I asked for some sponges to staunch the bleeding. I worked in a Hospital ER in NYC I know the issues ER nurses go thru. No excuse here. Catskill medical center next time if need be or an Urgent care place.

Unfortunately I have been to the hospital too often this past year and a few times in the years before. The care I have received in the ER, Wound Care Center and Radiology Dept has always been great and the people treating me are always kind, thoughtful, and expert in their work. God bless you all.

We unfortunately had a an opportunity recently to visit the hospital for what we believe to be a stroke. The staff at the hospital was excellent they had more resources in that emergency room doing their jobs then I possibly could have imagined. We could not have gotten better service.

First time I ever went there but staff was incredible and efficient,,they took me in quickly,all tests were taken,4 hours later,I was on my way home. Very impressed with how they also called to check on me the next day.

The emergency room staff took great care of my 91yr old father treating him for uti when we were on vacation up there. Very nice caring folks there. Cant say enough good things about the emergency room staff.

I have been there on several occasions. My experience has varied greatly. Overall I would say no bad . Of course there are areas of improving needed. There are some knowledgeable staff and others that lack.

I stayed here for about two weeks total over two pregnancies and births. The staff is very friendly and professional. The rooms are (mostly) spacious. Overall, it was a good experience.
