My first visit to Dr. Harris office was impressive. Every staff member seemed courteous, assuring, knowledgeable and proficient. Some of his patients who were there that day shared their experiences with me. Most memorable was an elderly lady in her 80s who said, "I am old and nothing works anymore except my eyes. After Dr. Harris worked on them i can now see almost as good as when I was 21". I am retired and have returned to both art and the making of bows and arrows. After my surgery i suddenly saw colours i did not know were contained in my work. The world around me was astonishing and appeared to be some other place than Earth. Dr. Harris answered all of my questions and kept insisting that I should never be reluctant to ask anything or express any concern. Since my surgery I have recommended his office to anyone I know that is considering any sort of eye operation.

I was examined by the female doctor who was not together.I ordered my glasses paid cash no insurance and the total was almost 1,000 dollars. I went to pick them up and could not see because the doctor left some of my power off and I couldnt even read a book. Sent back my glasses 4 times. From scratches where the person got too close with the blade to forgetting my transition lenses. The male attendant had the nerve to want to charge me an extra 170.00 dollars until I demanded all my money back and he forgot about the extra fee. My glasses still are not right a year later and I purchased a new pair from Univ. of Penn. I was told the female doctor made one eye 2 diameters incorrect and the other 1.25 diameters off. This place needs to replace the female doctor so please save your money and headaches and go somewhere else!

I went to Rittenhouse Eye Associates this morning for a general check up. I secluded my appointment and was 15 minutes early. I wanted to be a new patient because I found the location to be convenient to my home. However, service here is terrible. I came in and was told that I could not be seen because the contact physician was not in and asked to come in Monday. I could not even get my eyes checked. I am a working person who cannot just move my schedule around constantly. No one asked any questions when I scheduled my appointment about what I was looking for. I wasted more than an hour of my time- filled out all the paperwork only to find that I could not even get a check up. Do not waste your time here. This place is terrible!

Ive been here twice, and both times it has been the same experience: when I call to make the appointment, the person on the phone is nasty and hostile; when I arrive (on time) for the appointment, I have to wait for over an hour before the doctor is ready to see me; the doctor (a woman who is as unfriendly and condescending as possible) gives me an exam, confirms that my prescription hasnt changed, and sends me to order the same contacts Ive been wearing for years; when I check out, Im charged a contact lens fitting fee, even though I havent been fitted, and have to argue to have it removed. The first time, I thought that maybe it was an off day and gave them another chance. Now that I see that this is the norm, I wont be back.

I went here with my daughter as a new patient. I was 15 minutes early. I waited for a full hour and 25 minutes. Reminded the front desk person that my meter was going to run out multiple times. She was rude and took a disrespectful tone with me when I asked about getting a courtesy call to let me know I would be waiting for an hot and 25 minutes. In the end I left without being seen and my daughter misssed half a day off of school. Other people in the waiting room having the same issue. Seems like the doctors overbook themselves and expect everyone to wait around all afternoon. I wouldnt have given them any stars but this system wouldnt let me post unless I gave them one star.

This place is the worst. I was in there for over 2.5 hours for a simple contact fitting and exam. Why? The actual time spent with a doctor was maybe 20 minutes. Even worse is the scam they run charging you $170 for a fitting and 2 boxes of contacts. They dont separate the fitting from the contacts which makes you unable to apply your vision insurance to the fitting and then buy contacts online for a reasonable price. Somehow I walked out paying $155 for a fitting, exam, and 4 boxes of contacts...AND I HAVE VSP! I will never be back -- not even if they paid me

Im really surprised to read the negative reviews here, which is why Im posting. Both my husband and I have had a great experience here. They knew and understood exactly what our benefits were and what was covered. The optometrist was very thorough in the fitting and wound up changing my contact lenses to ones that fit much better. The eye glass shop was fast and did a wonderful job updating the lenses in both our glasses. Front desk was also friendly and efficient. Absolutely no complaints -- I wish all my healthcare providers were this on the ball!

Ive been to Rittenhouse Eye Associates a few times over the past three years and have had no problems. I have not had to wait for an appointment and the staff have not been rude to me. A couple of staff members in fact went out of their way to help me. The doctor who saw me (not Dr Harris) during one visit could not test my retinas because I had shortly before given birth. She allowed me to come in on a separate, later occasion to complete the procedure. I would recommend this business. Only problem = parking.

Lasik is the best investment in myself that I have made to date. Rittenhouse Eye Associates made it so easy for me, with the 0% installment payments to the inviting waiting room for patients and family. The staff are warm and compassionate. The follow-up visits to the doctor in the office put me at ease. I can see without glasses. Dr. Harris is wonderful-- Thank you Rittenhouse Eye Associates! Lasik patient- Larita L.

Dr. Harris helped me when I developed a cataract a couple years ago, and I recently went to see him again for a YAG laser procedure. Im pleased with the results and grateful that I can see clearly now. He takes the time to explain whats going on. The new office is a lot more spacious than the old one, and wait times are very short now, the operation seems to have gotten more efficient.

Continuously I have had disappointing experiences with this office. Im always waiting, the staff is incredibly rude and unhelpful and most recently they refused to honor my contacts prescription claiming that it was expired, even though it was not. At this point in time, the disappointment has overwhelmed me and I have no other choice than to move onto a new doctor.

Life Changing! Dr. Harris has given me the greatest gift of my life. After cataract surgery I now have perfect vision in both of my eyes. I can read small type as well as see at a distance and all without glasses or contact lenses. I now have better vision than at my birth. He is my hero!!!!!
