What a joke, over a 2 year period and several trips for dental work I dont think I had a single pleasant visit. I had a tooth extracted and a few day later a crown next to it had a pea size chunk come off, appears as if he may have used the crown for leverage and cracked it. I had 2 crowns that had to be ordered twice because they didnt fit correctly and he said it was because my bite was not consistent, I was told one of those would be a root canel but found out later when my tooth was sensitive to cold he didnt do a root canal. I always paid at each visit and my wife was looking over the insurance charges and found I was over charged, it took 3 request to get that paid back over several weeks time, finally he said I had a tooth that needed a small filling so he did it, a week later it didnt feel right to me so I went in to have him check it and he scratched on it and said it was fine. So I finally changed dentist, and on the first visit there I am told that same tooth needs a filling. So good luck with Dycus if you need any work done, The hygienist are great, my family still goes to see him and they say he doesnt even come check their teeth after cleanings,

Dr, Dycus is friendly and seems very knowledgeable. He said that we would keep an eye on a tooth that another dentist in another state told me I Had to a crown. Thats a major difference in cost to me the patient. He seems to be concerned with the quality of care and the cost. The hygienist who cleaned my teeth was by far the best that I have had in years. She cleaned around the retainer on my front teeth which few bother to do. She also cleaned the back of my molars where again very few bother to do. Overall, I had a really good experience. I WILL be going back in 6 months to have another cleaning. Im really happy that my friend, Faye, told me to go to him. Thanks Faye!!!!

Dr. Dycus helped me with my TMJ problems.... Upon awakening one morning, my jaw popped so bad my roommate thought that my shoulder had popped, from that moment on I had horrible headaches as well as motion sickness. At my 6th month cleaning appointment I told Dr. Dycus that my jaw had been popping EVERY time I opened my mouth. He diagnosed me with TMJ and proceeded with treatment. Since then, my jaw no longer pops and I am relieved of my pain. Thanks to doctor Dycus I do not have daily pain that sends me to the bed anymore. I highly recommend this dentist to everyone I know in the Cookeville area for all their dental needs!

Had my first visit here I needed to see a dentist asap and focus dental got me n like the next day early. I didnt wait long up front til they called me back. Dycus was right n there he examined the problem said it could b filled he numb me up and filled my front tooth. He done a great job no pain besides the numb and he was fast! His staff was OK I think he was a Lil high but it was worth it to save a front tooth!!!! Thanks again to the dentist!

My 3 year old daughter had a traumatic experience at a local childrens dental office so when we brought her in for a cleaning at Dr. Dycus office we were hesitant and extremely nervous. LeeAnn was her hygienist and we absolutely adored her. She was so patient with our daughter and did an amazing job at making her feel comfortable. To this day our daughter calls her the tooth fairy and talks about going back to see her so she can "tickle her teeth"!

Dr. Dycus has been my dentist for years, and hes always been great!!! Ive had an emergency a couple of times, and he was very accommodating and worked me in. LeAnn makes my teeth feel cleaner than they ever felt before I started seeing her, and Teresa keeps me in line with my appointments :) The whole office staff is very competent, efficient, and most of all...very friendly!!!

Ive been with Dr. Dycus for some time now. The process of dental work can be painful at times due to the procedure required. I must say from the time you enter the office and then you exit the people are very special, friendly, caring and detailed regardless of the reason of your appointment. I would highly recommend any one for any dental practices from this practice.

I have been going to Dr. Dycus for 2 yrs.now and have never had to wait past my appointment time. He and his staff have always been on time, courteous, helpful, friendly, and efficient. I have never liked going to the dentist, but now I dont dread it. I have only had a good experience with Dycus Dental. Two thumbs up!!

Since leaving Cookeville, I have sorely missed Dr. Dycus - literally. He is hands down the gentlest dentist that I have ever used. On 2 occasions, he was able to drill and grind some problem teeth without the use of pain killers. Once, I even fell asleep as he drilled! Do yourself a favor and see this dentist.
