Hello to the Staff on the night crew.My name is Ricky Sauls and I was at the Northwest Hills Surgical Hospital on Nov.30,2016 on Wed.for Left Knee Surgery. And I want to let the Mgrs and heads of the Dept,of Pre-Op to know about the three people who cared for me before the surgery. They are Michele Lopez and Dr.Lyttle and Dayna Twyman who by far are the best and outstanding professional pre-op staff men and women I have ever met. They showed such concern and special care for me while I was there. They made my knee surgery pre-op leading up to the moment of surgery so fun and relaxing, that I would recommend my friends and family to go and have their surgery done there. At Northwest Hills Surgical Hospital where the staff and the Drs. are the professionals who really show you that they really do care about you. They met my every need and they also showed me that they are human beings with hearts that feel just as much as I do.There is a warmthness and a sence of peace that they make you feel secure and safe,That you are in good handswith us.Thank you again Michele Lopez and Dr.Lyttle and Dayna Twyman for all that you do to each and every patient who comes to you.I would like to say they deserve a raise and a promotion.God bless you all and let me say I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.Happy Holidays to All.And to all a good night.RICKY SAULS

I have a problem with my bill that has not been corrected. I was scheduled for a colonoscopy in June 2010. When the appointment was being confirmed I confirmed that the billing was for a preventative procedure. Since they could not confirm at that time, we rescheduled several times and finally performed the procedure in Nov 2010. In Jan 2011 I recieved a bill from the Northwest surgical hospital and the doctor as well as an EOB from my insurance company. They were different. I called the hospital and the insurance company and the doctor to get it corrected. The doctors office then communicated with the hopitals billing person who corrected the billing. Then in September 2011, the matter reared its ugly head again as the hospital changed its billing system and I received another bill. I have called the hospital and left several messages for the billing department, billing department, etc. I have spoken to a couple of people in the billing department who say "they will need to get the original doctors notes." All of this belies the point that the doctors billing person got the billing correct and has been paid in full. I have repeated suggested that the hospital correct this billing error. My next step will be to retain a lawyer and report this to the appropriate government agency.

The facility is fine. It is what you would consider an average surgical hospital. The issue is with billing. First they charge you up front (which is fine), BUT they will not give you a statement / estimate / anything showing you what you are spending money on. That is all I wanted. But they said over and over we dont do that. This is the only place on earth where you pre-pay for something, and get nothing about what you paid for. Imagine Pre-paying for airline tickets, without getting a receipt about your trip dates, seat numbers, etc. Second, of course, your records are never secure there. It took them 10 days to recover from their system getting hacked (May of 2017) because they never even bothered to download the Microsoft Patch. In that time, they could tell you nothing about anything. Third, they of course over charged me. So I now have an Explanation of benefits showing what I should have paid. But after calling them, they told me it can take nearly 10-12 days more before they can initiate the returns process. If you have a choice, do not go here. It will be an administrative nightmare for you.

Austin, TX Review Date: 09/02/2011 I had a routine procedure performed at Northwest Hills Surgical Hospital on 9/1/2011. I was told by my healthcare provider and by Northwest Hills Surgical Hospital that if my procedure was routine that there would be no co-pay deducted from my bank account. After my procedure I was told by the nurse that they found nothing abnormal...that the procedure was routine. The following day Northwest Hills Surgical Hospital removed $587.00 from my account and when I called I was told that I would have to wait until the claim was processed to have my money returned. My healthcare provider told me that they should not have charged me a co-pay on a routine procedure. In addition, I was told that no co-pay should have been removed from my account until the claim was filed. It is strictly up to my healthcare provider to determine if I owe a co-pay and it is extremely unethical to take advantage of patients in this manner. I strongly recommend that if you need a surgical procedure that you find a reputible facility...NOT NORTHWEST HILLS SURGICAL HOSPITAL!!!

Ive just had a breast reduction performed at Northwest Hills Surgical Hospital (January 20th, 2012). My surgeon, Dr Mosier, is simply amazing and Ill write a review about him separately. This surgery was #11 for me, as my first one was when I was only 10 years old. So, I have experience in hospital stays. This whole experience has been truly remarkable! from my arrival to my departure, everything was way beyond my best expectations. The room was great, the staff unbelievably professional and caring. The food was definitely fancy for a hospital, fancy and good. What a way to kick-start a recovery !!! To give you some background, Ive had a tummy tuck performed in Beverly Hills - supposedly the #1 place on earth for elective surgery. I was sent home 2 hours after surgery, was not given proper care and ended up in the ER few hours later with a bilateral pneumonia. Northwest Hills Surgical Hospital is by far the best medical facility Ive been to.

I recently had a colonoscopy done at this facility and in the beginning I would have rated my experience very high but the day after the procedure I experienced intensed burning sensation that it was painful for me to sit and that I had a dark yellow-orange discharge. Since it was the weekend and Monday was Memorial holiday, I called and was told that the doctor will be notified and that I would be called back, no one called, called again, placed on hold several time, no one came to the phone; all I wanted was something to treat the burn, but no one gave me the courtesy of a call back. I had to call my primary care doctor, and then a nurse from that office called me with a prescription cream to use to treat it. The staff and the doctor was very courteous, pleasant, and professional before the procedure but how I was treated afterwards changed my entire experience.

My husband had day surgery this past week. The staff was very friendly and caring and he got excellent care. The only negative was the scheduling procedure. We were told to be there at 1230 and we were. What came next was a wait time of an hour and a half before he was taken to the pre op area and another half hour before he was taken to surgery. That seems like a really long wait time. When I had day surgery at the Austin Diagnostic Surgery Center the wait time was not nearly that long and someone even followed up the next day with a phone call just checking on me to see how I was doing. We got no follow up call from NW Hills Surgical Hospital. I was more pleased with the ADC Surgery Center than NW Hills Surgical Hospital Jean & Gerald Lackey
