For the first couple of days after my husband had triple bypass surgery the nurses he had were great and went into detail on what he would experience and made him feel at ease. Now for the next nurse named Jessica, I call up there to check on husband like I have everyday and give the password of course and she begins to tell me that hes doing good but will be moving to rehab and I asked ok what rehab center because the one in Decatur I didnt care for they didnt take care of my dad when he was there so than Jessica tells me well I will have to check with your husband on me giving you that information, and if its ok with him I will have them call you. Ok for starters I give you the password I have been married to him for 34yrs and I pay the insurance on him so her problem would be....EXACTLY !. so after I talk with him in regards to where hes going. She comes into his room to tell him that she hopes it didnt make him mad that she wouldnt give his wife any information, OK again if I have the password what the HELL do you think I am . Jessica was the night nurse and I wouldnt recommend her at all.

Okay, so last night out of nowhere, I went into hyperventilation and I went to Wise Regional Health Hospital, an affiliate of Baylor Health. Ever since fifth grade I bragged about how nice everybody was at all the Baylor hospitals, including Wise Regional. I had my first bad experience and I was really disappointed. First, we called and asked for a wheelchair to be out waiting for us. We had to go in and get it. Then, the nurse that took care of me was very rude. Oh and not to mention, the doctor couldnt understand that "I dont have strength." or "Yo no tengo ninguna fuerza." or "Je nai pas de force." He forced me to lift up so he could check my heart. Did I forget to mention that I had to use all available strength I had left which almost left me in another asthma attack. That was rediculous and I hope service is better for others. I would give this review a 0, because all other staff tried helping me once I was in and the rooms were sanitary and private, but the service needs major improvement in the field of doctor-patient. Service does matter.

I had the gastric sleeve done in June 2016. Dr. Stowers and his staff were really awesome before my surgery and while I recovered in the hospital. However, I have had multiple flare ups of pancreatitis after my procedure. I have never had any problems with my pancreas until this surgery. Ive been hospitalized three times since June, still vomiting continuously and having a lot of pain. Im extremely frustrated with my last visit in Decatur. I saw Dr. Wright, who is Dr. Stowers partner, and he seemed to be frustrated with ME the patient, that i was feeling so poorly. I felt completely blown off and did not appreciate being talked to like Im ignorant. He made me feel like I am an inconvenience. Not to mention, the nurse I had the last day I was in the hospital at Wise was extremely rude to me. I live in Abilene, and couldnt wait to come home so I could be out of that hospital! I received much better care from the doctors and nurses here in Abilene.

Horrible E.R. experience. I went in for a severe headache that made it difficult to move or talk without pain (tension headache). Minimal questions in triage. Date of birth, height, weight, allergies, and preexisting conditions. That was it. Didnt ask if I had taken anything for it yet. Didnt ask about any chance of pregnancy (no) or when my last menstrual cycle was. Nothing relevant. Very rude to me, cutting me off when I was trying to talk to them. They prescribed ibuprofen (which I had already taken to no effect) and a very mild muscle relaxer. One of the worst experiences Ive had with a hospital before. Anybody seeking medical attention should take the extra 45 minutes and drive to fort worth if they want to be taken seriously.

I would give you people no stars but that isnt an option. I am currently sitting in your ER waiting room with my 1 year old as he and his allergic reaction get worse. I have been here for three hours. I would just like to know how a hospital justifies leaving a toddler in the waiting room this long. I have been told several times that "the rooms are full and that the are discharging three people right now" as I watch people leave and still sit in the waiting room. I watch people go in before me that got her and checked in after me. This is outrageous and I will never ever bring my son here again. I would rather drive the 45 minutes to Fort Worth and actually go where people seem to care about their patients.

Went to the ER for possible broken ankle. Couldnt walk. Was never offered a wheel chair, ice, etc. Nurse Practitioner Shortt never introduced herself, was in a hurry to get out of my room, never explained anything to include after/follow up care, I was asking questions as she was closing my door. Only thing beneficial out of the entire process was the speed of "care". I was in and out in 1.5 hrs which was probably their motive. Lastly I was never asked for ID, just name and DOB. Isnt it a requirement to show ID for care/insurance purposes? I wish I would have gone elsewhere.

Check-in was fast and easy, only 2 signatures and a few initials. We hadnt finished the abbreviated paperwork before my wife was called in for examination. *All* the staff: doctor, nurses, helpers and administrative folks were sympathetic and quick to respond to her needs. Charles was especially attentive and helpful, engaging my wife to discuss her pain (and several other conditions I wont go into here). Thank you Charles. Oh, check-out was very quick, too.

Horrible ER experience. The staff has no bedside manner or any sympathy for the patients at all. They want you in and out, and do not take the time to make you feel at ease. Its an emergency room, people are in there because they have just gone through something horrible to them, you would think that the staff would have a little more empathy for that. Left the ER feeling very uncared for and wishing I had driven the extra distance to a different hospital.

This place is full of self righteous money hungry assholes. I went there after been hit head on by a drunk driver extremely hurt I was refused help because I dont have insurance. There was a old raccoon looking nurse that was disrespectful and rude talking down to me once I told her to take that Turkey and shove it .. she wanted to call security. NEVER GO HERE IF YOU ARE HURT ! THESE PEOPLE DONT CARE ABOUT PEOPLE ONLY INSURANCE !

Some of the staff up on the 5th floor are Amazing, Nurse Brittany is one of them! However, the staff at the desk the last couple of days has been AWFUL AND LAZY!!!! Dr said we could be discharged yesterday and we are still here. I hope they plan on paying for making us stay for no reason other than the lack of communication and organization here amongst the staff!!!!
