I will try to keep this brief with the least amount of ranting as possible. We recently moved to TX from MN, where our two boys received the best care possible. Upon moving here we asked folks in the neighborhood for recommendations. A couple of people recommended one doctor at Forest Pediatrics, but we made an appointment for our sons 3-year well visit with a doctor there other than the one recommended because I wanted our boys to have a male doctor like they had in the past, assuming he would provide the same level or service. (Perhaps that was our first mistake?) My husband took our son and described the experience as unimpressive, meaning the doctor did his job but didnt really give him a reason to keep coming back. In an attempt to be a good dad and respect my wishes (I insist on flu shots), he asked that our son get a flu shot and also inquired whether he could get one, too. The doctor said yes but that it would be billed separately. That was acceptable. He did NOT in any way mention that separate billing meant it would not be submitted to insurance, so my husband had no reason to think he would have to pay out of pocket whatever they charged for a flu shot, so he got the shot. After they left, the office called and demanded he provide his credit card information so they could charge him $50 for the flu shot. When my husband asked why, etc, they then explained they didnt submit to insurance and wed have to pay out-of-pocket and the charge was FIFTY DOLLARS. Then, we could submit to our insurance. My husband told them that wasnt how it was explained to him and to send us a bill. Upon learning of this, I called and left a message requesting a return call and an explanation. Some random, unapologetic person called back and restated their position and went on to LIE to me that the doctor told my husband this was how it worked (i.e. that he explained the billing policy). That absolutely didnt happen - had he been told the charge was $50 and hed have to chase our insurance co. for reimbursement, he wouldve gone down to CVS for free and gotten the same shot. Anyway, I expressed my disagreement. We vowed never to go back and a month later we get a card from the post office we have a certified letter. My husband had to take time from his busy day to go to the post office to pick up a stupid certified letter telling us they were terminating the patient relationship because we "were not happy with the checkout process at [our] most recent visit, specifically our charge of the flu shot for adults/non-patients." Hey, newsflash Forest Pediatrics: WE WERE NEVER COMING BACK. WE FIRED YOU. Thanks for adding insult to injury with the certified letter we had to make a special trip to retrieve right before Christmas. Maybe you shouldve just let sleeping dogs lie? With all the choices out there, what parent would bring their child back after such a sour experience? Its one thing to provide bad service, but making it worse after the fact by being so unapologetic and insulting thereafter is another. Anyway, Im glad business is so good that you dont have to pay any mind to negative feedback. This family of four will take their needs elsewhere! (Please note that this is not another review by the same person who posted a negative review below. We just happen to have the same first initial and last name.)

Dr. Leonard is an amazing doctor. She gets a 5 star rating from us. This rating reflects our experience with the office staff, more specifically the dark haired lady in the front sign in window. Ill update her name when we go back tomorrow. Today we got to the appointment and were told our appointment was an hour earlier and that we had missed it. I verified that the appointment was at the time we thought it was last week just to make sure and I wrote it down, told my wife and entered it into my phone. Ok so even if it was a mistake, the lady was rude, and raised her voice when talking to me. Telling me she marked it as a no show and we needed to re-schedule anyway because we were 15 minutes late. Today the weather was crazy, there were wrecks everywhere and it was limited visibility with the heavy rain. We called a few times on our way to let them know and we would have even been able to solve the appointment time issue is they had answered the phone. Also, why isnt it a policy for them to give a courtesy call if we arent there 15 minutes before or if we are running late? Every doctors office, dentist etc Ive ever been to will give you a call either way. No one even called us about anything. Maybe they should make that a new policy. It would have been nice to get a "Hey, you had an appointment scheduled at this time. Are you on your way, is everything okay or do you need to reschedule?" Instead of the attitude we got when we got there. Maybe its a case of the Mondays but being professional at all times is important. We will see how tomorrow goes since we had to reschedule. *UPDATE* Much better today on the professionalism scale. I know that google will notify business immediately when ratings are sent and thats a good thing. I manage multiple business accounts. I stand by everything I said yesterday, but lets hope they saw the rating as not bashing the organization but as suggestions on policy on how to handle clients and maybe implement those courtesy phone calls like all other offices do and not be combative or rude when speaking to someone.

Not very happy with the staff at all. Ive been taking my son here since he was born and is now 8 months. They dont have any nurses working under the Drs. They are all medical assistances. My son needed reflux meds and the med assistance didnt know the difference between them. I had to correct her plenty of times. If you call and try to talk to one of the med assistances, forget it. You have to leave a message and most times they dont call you back until the following day, if that.I like the Drs but everytime I took my son here we waited over an hour between seeing the nurse and seeing the Dr. The last time we waited TWO hours! That is insane and I will no longer waste my time.

Horrible experience ever!! We are actually satisfied with dr. White. But this time shes on vacation so my son went to dr. Fershtman. Normally pediatrician approach the kids with gentle move. But he is not at all!! He didnt say anything and check my sons eyes and inside mouth. It was very tough! He is 5yrs old and can speak and understand English well. And also quite good at following directions. I think he got mistake when he chose his major. I dont think he loves children!! I really disappointed with dr. Fershtmans service to the kids! But I really love Dr. white and her staffs. We maybe keep going but never going again to the fershtman!

The staff is always friendly. The office has been helpful with all the paperwork weve needed returned. The nurses are quick to call you back and are patient with any and all questions. We see Dr. Leonard. She is kind, intelligent, and very easy to talk to. She is fantastic with our kids and is good at making a diagnosis. Meds are not pushed, although given when needed. We have been here for 3.5 years.
