I recently moved to the area and brought in one of my dogs who was having multiple problems including severe skin, ear, and eye issues. He was seen by Dr. Shuffield who said my dog most likely had allergies. He prescribed allergy medicine and ear drops and gave me some advice on how to clear up the skin problem. He spent a lot of time with me and was very helpful. He said that if the eye problem didnt go away, I should see a veterinary ophthalmologist. I was charged $236.80 for this exam, 1 week of allergy medicine, ear drops, and ear rinse. After 1 week, the skin problem went away, which is great because several other vets have looked at the same skin problem over the years and were never able to resolve it. The eye problem did not go away so I brought him in again and asked to see the same vet. I was told that Dr. Shuffield is retired and was only there that one day as a "relief vet" and doesnt really work there regularly. Instead I was given an appointment with Dr. Hull. After an hour long wait in the exam room, just before I was going to leave and not come back, Dr. Hull finally came in and rushed through the exam, talking very fast, because he was behind schedule and had "other people waiting". He said my dogs tear ducts were blocked and would need to be flushed under general anesthesia, for $387 - $462. I questioned why the better vet told me to go to a specialist but Dr. Hull said hes done this a few times before and said he could do it. I decided to take him to a veterinary ophthalmologist and am very glad I did. The ophthalmologist said my dogs tear ducts were NOT blocked and said the other vet likely did the dye test improperly and came to the wrong conclusion because of that. The ophthalmologist flushed his tear ducts without anesthesia and said he just needs stronger eye drops. The ophthalmologist charged $221 for the exam, dye test, tear duct flush, and eye drops. I would bring my dog back here if I could see Dr. Shuffield, but since hes retired, I dont see how I can come back here.

Dr. Lopez and his prior practice has been my vet since the late 90s. Hes now setup his own practice in Frisco and we couldnt be happier for him. His new facility is beautiful and extremely well equipped. He has always shown so much care and concern for each and every pet of ours hes every cared for. Dr. Lopez has also helped to guide me through some past difficult illnesses with my pets. You never feel rushed by him as he will take his time to fully explain diagnosis and paths of treatment. He is a board certified specialist in feline and canine practice. His education and knowledge puts you at ease in trusting your pet to his care. Dr. Lopez has not only an outstanding new facility, hes put together a great staff as well. Everyone is extremely nice, courteous and genuinely seems to care about all of the animals that come through their doors. My husband and I cant recommend him highly enough...hes an outstanding doctor. You wont be disappointed to trust your pets to his care. Our 3 Maine Coons and us give him 5 stars!

I took my German Shepherd in to Dr Lopez. He needed a lot of shots and a general wellness visit. Dr Lopez and the staff were fantastic. They treated "Max" like a king. I decided after that visit that this would be the place I felt safe taking my dog to get fixed. Well I took him the other day and again I cant say enough about how well he did and how super the staff was. I also love the web app that puts all Maxs vet history online so that I can access it anywhere I go, especially in the summer because I plan to do some traveling across the country I would highly recommend phillips creek vet for anyone in the Little Elm, Frisco or Colony area of Texas

I started taking my puppy here. I was very happy. Had to bring her in to be spayed, was not told ahead of time what this would cost. On the day of the scheduled surgery i was given the estimate to say i was shocked was an understatement, lowest price $608 highest price $615 +tax. I couldnt justifiably pay this so i left with my puppy. I did call them the next day to see if that was a mistake or if anything could be done as i had spoken to some other vets in the area, and the price apples to apples was almost half. I did not receive a call back. I was very disappointed as this vet is close to home and i was hoping this would be our family vet.

Ive been taking our fur babies to PCVH for the last 2 years. Theyve done check ups on our Boxer and spayed our Main Coon for us. Overall, Im extremely happy with the service weve received. Our pets are our children and there is no better place to go. The lobby is always clean. At our old vet, we thought it was normal that the lobby smelled like a kennel. Not the case at PCVH. The cleanliness of the lobby and rooms is great. Also, I love going here because I dont feel pressured or judged based on treatments I opt for/against. They explain everything for us and never make us feel obligated to do anything. Keep up the great work PCVH!

• "Dr. Lopez has been our family vet for over a decade. Hes guided and advised us through several complicated situations with our many pets. He goes above and beyond to research, talk to specialists and then communicate findings both written and verbally in a manner that is easily understood. With his help, we know we are always making the best decision for our furry family members. We also like how he kneels and gets down close to the floor in the treatment room to interact with our small dog on his level. Our pets feel comfortable in his care and we think Dr. Lopez is wonderful."--Rebecca and Bob Wallace

Dr. Lopez treated my 13 1/2 year cat with great care. He understood how much this animal is part of my family and not just a pet. He ran the blood tests needed and gave great confidence to what needed to be done. We are still waiting to see if the treatment will cure the problem. This is the first illness our cat has had so we are new to him being sick. I RECOMMEND Dr Lopez and his staff. He gave me piece of mind when I didnt feel comfortable in trusting anyone with this. Still praying the treatment works.
