I have been taking our dogs to this clinic for many years and have never had any issues with the Veterinarians or their assistants. Ive always enjoyed the service they have provided and have no complaints there. I, like many of their other clients, know that it will be busy, the staff will be overwhelmed, so just wait in line, be kind and courteous to everyone. However, this all changed yesterday because one of their receptionists made a mistake on our "note card" and accused my family of something that never even happened. I couldnt even get information from her since she handled my paperwork and was unwilling to accept that she made a mistake. My groomer and I simply called them yesterday to try and get the last date of rabies shots for both of my dogs and the receptionist curtly replied that they are no longer allowed to provide service to us because my husband "cussed them out in November" (Please note, that this did not happen and it is completely false. My husband hasnt visited their clinic since January of 2015 and we always pay for our bills and get out). After listening to her accuse my husband of something that never happened, she finally told me the last date of their shots, but I wanted to talk to them in person to clear up the confusion since I still wanted to return there for future service. I went to the clinic and spoke with the same receptionist. I tried to tell her that she made a mistake and wrote an incorrect note on our record because I received service in December 2015, and I remember there was a gentleman there at the same time I was checking out who got upset about paying for medication. My husband would definitely not "cuss them out" but more importantly he wasnt even with me when I took our dog in! I really cant believe how she handled it and all because of some note she meant to write on someone elses "note card". Its funny that she thinks she remembers that day 100% and says she never forgets a face - but what face is she talking about? Does she even know what my husband looks like? He rarely goes there. I asked her how we could rectify the situation and she just kept saying, "theres nothing to rectify". That is so outlandish! She wouldnt even let me speak with anyone else and pointed to a sign that says, "we have the right to refuse service". This whole situation is a fail for the Animal Clinic of Farmers Branch. You should not expect great service from the front-end staff nor expect to have any kind of rational conversation with them.Their response is always curt. I usually kept my head down and waited in line like everyone else, not trying to bother anyone. I honestly dont know how a silly mistake turned into something worst.

Planning to take your dogs to Animal Clinic of Farmers Branch? Think TWICE! I decided to try out this place but the hassle, heartache and horrible customer service were not worth the money saved. I was astounded by the poor treatment I received from the employees. Upon walking into the clinic, I was not greeted and was shocked at the level of apathy the employees displayed. There was one employee who apparently was taking a nap (she had her head on the counter during my entire visit) and another lady who had her eyes glued to her ancient computer screen and refused to acknowledge anyone. When no one greeted me, I took the initiative and asked if someone could please examine my dog. They spent the first 15 minutes trying to find my dogs record in their system (their records are stored on index cards and placed in a box). They claimed they had no record of my dog in their system.....maybe if they didnt use an index card box as their database they might be a little bit more organized. After 15 minutes, they finally found my dog in their "system". During the first ~30 minute wait, we had some other patients (dogs, cats, etc) come into the clinic. Of course Tanner, being the toy dog he is, barked a little bit; however, I did a pretty good job of carrying him around the waiting room to distract him. The employees did not make this any easier. They made remarks and one of them said he was going to have to shut up. I decided to wait outside in the 90 degree weather to make it a pleasant visit for everyone. After 30 minutes of being outside, technicians meet me outside to do the exam?! OUTSIDE?! I asked if we could please have an exam room and they said "we cant go inside bc he would dirty the room". So I can go in the waiting room but not exam room??? Anyhow, they were doing a parvo test (which I knew would be negative) and I suppose its protocol to do this test outdoors???? They then made me wait outside in the heat for the results and after a while when no one showed up, I decided to go back inside. When I go back in, I wait for about 10 minutes before the vet was ready. Lucky me, they actually let us go into an exam room. The vet seemed nice and knowledgeable. After we were done, I waited around the counter area (there was no formal waiting line) to sign-out and pay. I waited for quite some time and during this time, they assisted several people that came AFTER me. Bottom line, if you are looking for a vet clinic with good customer service, Animal Clinic of Farmers Branch is NOT the place. Time is money and the time I spent there today was not worth the money saved. My dog will continue to go to his local 5 star veterinarian clinic.

I think this places encourages positive reviews and deletes the negative ones. At first, I loved this place and would drive across town to take my kitties to Dr. Jones. Until that fateful day that my female kitty, who got scared, bit her. It surprised us both, but after that, my girl was mistreated by the staff. They more than once carried her carrier VERTICALLY, with my baby howling, scaring her more. The animals are stressed, they are scared, YOU are the vet and should never get complacent. She never did it again but every time after that, they said they had to "gas her down", even after she became elderly. Dr. Murray is a flaming JERK. Very condescending. Dr. Spratt, who seems gruff, actually was the most real of all of them. I kept asking Dr. Jones if my kitty should be put down and she would never give me a straight answer, citing "you the owner knows your pet". Well, Ive come to find out since then, that diabetic neuropathy, which she knew my kitty had, is PAINFUL. So are the UI infections she got due to the diabetes. Yet, I was told, as long as she is eating, shes fine. She was walking on her haunches. And getting sub-Q fluids. She had to be miserable and so I looked to the vet to guide me on this. On her last visit, she was experiencing yet another UI. Dr. Murray wanted to "gas her down" to give her a shot of antibiotics!! I asked him to just giver her the shot and asked if I needed to put a towel on her to calm her. He said "Well spin her around then...and as long as you put the towel on her HEAD" as he walked out. My girl cratered in the next 24 hours and I made the decision to put her down the next day. I have since talked to another vet, and other pet owners. VERY bad treatment of my 16 1/2 year old kitty, who I now see suffered needlessly the last 2 years of her life. But the VETS made another $1,200 (estimating). Because the office visit, the gassing down of an extra $45, the insulin and needles that they insisted on selling in whole boxes, etc etc etc. The staff made comments about her and I know they treated her badly because of that one fateful day. Well, she was SCARED .......... shes gone now. And all these positive reports have me suspicious that they read them and remove anything less than "wonderful" about themselves. So I say this, may that greed be their UNDOING.
