To: review from Ratherjustbanonymous from Dr. Rothrock You have posted your review on the wrong website. To address your comment I did not own Hillcroft Orthopedic Group. I worked there and I found out via the Texas Medical Board that this clinic had been sold by the owner Dr. Chrisle Denise Colbert, to an unlicensed physician Dr. Elmie. These owners lied to me too and I lost my job with no notice. Apparently the entire staff knew of this illegal ownership except for me. I apologize for your withdrawals and I had even emailed the Texas Medical Board... I said I would gladly treat all the patients for free for 30 days in order to give all the patients time to find another physician if they would allow me too. I do not have a PMC# to own a pain management clinic so they would have had to make a special circumstance. They did not respond with an answer. Since I did not own this clinic and the TMB advised me to leave before they closed the place down, I did. I have the utmost respect for the TMB and if they ask me to do something I am going to oblige. Again, I truley wanted to help everyone but I did not have access to anyones charts and I only worked there... I did not own any part of this clinic. You may call the Texas Medical Board and ask for information on this clinic and they will tell you what really happened. I too think it was terrible for the owner of this clinic not to give all the patients a thirty day notice and I voiced my concern about this to the TMB. The owner Dr. Colbert was to my knowledge instructed to do so, but you will have to call the TMB to find out this information. As for your remark about me leaving a terrible remark about a physician at this website, I did not. I said their receptionist answered the phone, put me on hold and then closed the office and went home leaving me on hold. I did not say anything bad about any physician because I have never been to this clinic. I left my remark so the owner of this clinic would not lose anymore patients due to his staffs treatment of perspective patients calling to make an appointment. If I owned a clinic I would want to know if my staff was hanging up or leaving patients on hold never to return. I specifically put the time so the owner could zero in on which receptionist was working that day. To the owner, sorry for leaving a message to this patient on your site, I felt a need to address their complaint and to let them know I would never desert a patient and this was out of my control....and to let them know I have never worked at your facility and they have posted their complaint on the wrong website, and I never submitted a complaint about one of your doctors...and I did not crawl from under a rock..:)) I hope they will check out all the information I have given so they will see they did not check out all of the facts before posting their remarks and I hope they will be honest enough to remove their comment about me and worse posting it on your website to bring your ratings down and you really had nothing to do with why the TMB closed down Hillcroft Orthopedic Group. Hopefully you will get a lot of their patients and they were all legitimate pain patients. When I started there I required all patients to get an updated MRI and it had to show significant pathology before I would see them.

Last week I scheduled my mom for an appointment. She injured her lower back, probably a pinched nerve and her entire experience there was unprofessional and staff was incompetent. First, the doctor there was very rude to my mom, he did not answer her questions and when she asked how the medicine he was prescribing was going to help he said "you dont have to take it" in a very condescending way. As if my moms questions was challenging his expertise, not at all, she just wanted to know how this medicine was going to help. After he left the room, the doctor failed to inform the nurse that my mom needed a shot. Forty minutes later my dad asked the receptionist if anyone was going to help my mom she said "oh I didnt know you were still here." My mom was the only patient in the office! Then the receptionist asked the nurse if she could help and she said "I didnt know I was suppose to do anything." Are you kidding me! A clinic with one doctor, one nurse and one reception cannot communicate to each other to help a 60+ injured women? Now to add insult to injury, as my mom and Dad were leaving the receptionist asked my mom to fill out 5 pages of health history. THATS SUPPOSE TO BE DONE BEFORE ANYONE SEES THE PATIENT! They treated my mom not knowing her medical history! This place should be shut down immediately! DO NOT GO HERE!

I called on the phone and made an appt. They told me the office visit would cost $70. I showed up on time and waited for an hour. Finally they told me the doctor wasnt there, but I could see another doctor as a walk in. Since I had already taken the morning off work I agreed. Then they told me it would cost $113. I was there to get a prescription renewed. The doctor gave me the prescription, but there were no refills on it. All previous doctors had given me 3 refills, so I only had to get it renewed once a year. Doctors Clinic told me I would have to get it renewed every 3 three months, and pay for an office visit each time. This quadruples the total price of the medication. I do not recommend Doctors Clinic. There are other clinics in the area that provide better service at lower cost.

I called to make an appointment, and the receptionist said I could come in anytime before 5:30 p.m. I thought that was great, I dont have to wait a month to see a health care provider. So, I went over and the receptionist, Jamie Landa, was very nice, polite and courteous. Marilyn Poy was my practitioner, and she was very gentle and compassionate, explained everything to me and did a procedure I have been avoiding for seven years. It was over before I knew it, and she did not hurt me at all. Also, Aniza, who took blood was very nice and gentle, I didnt even feel the stick. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience, that is why I think it is important to write about it. I highly recommend the providers at the Gulf Freeway Location
