I met Dr.Panzer at a family gathering over the holidays. I dont believe in luck or coincidence so, indeed, our paths crossed as an answer to prayer particularly when you consider I live in Arkansas...and when you read about why Im giving Dr. Panzer 5 stars (wishing I could give him 500) Ive worn glasses since age 3, Im now (almost) 52. Ive never been able to wear contacts, EVER!! For my first 40 years I was told time and time again I never would. With every advancement of contact lens products on the market, beginning about 10 years ago, eye doctors began telling me it might be possible for me to wear them; a couple of doctors made me actually believe it to be probable. Filled with hope and clutching (yet another) set of trial lenses Id go home only to be disappointed and frustrated time, after time, after dozens of sets of trials, after time again. When I turned 50 I added to my bucket list "stop wasting time and resources trying to wear contacts. Accept the fact Im destined to wear glasses until Im too old to remember what their purpose is". You can imagine my skepticism when Dr. Panzer started telling me about a new product; Accuvue multi-focal daily wear contacts. You can also imagine my mental eye roll when he told me I was a definite candidate for wearing them successfully (sorry doc, its part of the story LOLOL). Dr. Panzer talked to me about my condition and explained in great detail and with amazing knowledge why I could wear the Accuvue multi-focal dailies successfully. You see, I love the science of things, I loved even more that Dr. Panzer cared enough, having just met me, that he was willing to take time at a family event to help me (it touched my heart, it really did). OF COURSE I had to try them!! So I made an appointment for the first date available on my Little Rock doctors appointment calendar. Please know, I was willing to hop on an airplane to Houston to make this work but Dr. Panzer assured me he would stay in touch and coach me through it....and he did....and he has. I am overjoyed to tears that Im sitting here at my home computer typing this review WITHOUT GLASSES and can see the screen clearly and without effort!!! I am an accountant by profession so, this time of year especially, I have my head in my work computer all day, except this day I worked WITHOUT GLASSES!!! It is with great confidence I tell you the Accuvue multi-focal contacts are actually going to work, just like Dr. Panzer told me they would! My mind is thoroughly blown. My heart is grateful to over-flowing. THANK YOU Dr. Panzer!! Houston....I hope you know how blessed your city is to have such a brilliant doctor, who happens to also be a wonderful person, available to you!!!! D. Ruck Little Rock, AR

I chose to see Dr. Panzer based on his excellent google reviews, as well as the proximity of his clinic to my home. I have to mention that I had noticed a few negative reviews about him elsewhere (yelp, I think?) before I went to see him. The issues had seemed to be either the lack of attentiveness of his staff or his ‘suspected’ adding unnecessary gadgets to the patients’ bills. Since my only intention to see him was to get a new pair of prescription eyeglasses (upon feeling that my eyesight had decreased gradually), I thought the negative comments wouldn’t bother me that much (even if they were facts). It turned out that it was a great experience for me. Dr. Panzer checked my eyes carefully, noticed some abnormalities, and took pictures of them (and showed to me). Clearly noticing the abnormalities (despite not knowing exactly what the problem was), Dr. Panzer went on and referred me to a retinal specialist and forwarded him the pictures of my eyes at the same time. This turned out to be a crucial step for treating my eye disease that was later on diagnosed by the specialist. It was a relatively rare familiar eye disease, and I received laser treatment for it. In a one-month follow-up exam after the treatment, the specialist told me that my eyes were doing great and the disease did not progress since then. He kept mentioning to me that it was very unusual that my eye abnormalities had been identified by an optometrist, and said that I was really lucky in that. He considered this as a very unusual case and kept discussing it with his colleagues. I thank Dr. Panzer tremendously for his being responsible in my eye exam, and critically helped diagnose my eye disease that urgently needed a treatment to stabilize the condition. I would also like to mention that in my second visit to Dr. Panzer’s clinic to get a new pair of glasses, Dr. Panzer offered me a free second eye exam for prescription purposes, and indeed updated for one eye (due to the laser treatment that I had received and that might have changed my vision slightly). Dr. Panzer is a responsible, knowledgeable and caring optometrist in my eyes. Finally, his staff was absolutely great. They were very friendly and helpful. Dr. Panzer did mention that there was a time his staff included interns and/or students (but not now).
