Okay, a little background....we have been going to Rockwall Pediatrics for about 7 years. My son, 10 yrs old, was dx w/Autism at age 2 & ADHD at 7. He cannot carry on a conversation & still has limited vocabulary. We go to Dr. Pflieger for yearly well visits & flu shots w/out fail, generally my kiddo is healthy. The staff is over worked & can be rude at times. Its not always the same employee working at the front desk, but that person is mostly the one w/attitude. Theyre work load on that person seems extreme & stressful. Maybe 50% of my messages are returned & 99% of the time I am placed on hold, 5 min or so, when trying to make an appointment. Very bad w/appointment reminders, dont expect a phone call. Every referral & fax Ive needed or sent has ALWAYS been taken care of promptly. My concern is level of patient care. Only 2 doctors within the practice handle ADHD patients, due to the intricate knowledge of medication, testing, diagnosing etc. My son has never taken any kind of medication except Tylenol/Midol & maybe an antibiotic here & there. Dr. Pflieger prescribed my son an ADHD med at our last appointment 2 weeks ago. I dont blame the medication, but the doctor for our awful experience. We are talking easy doc stuff, dosage & basic knowledge was required. I wont give details BUT IF YOU SUSPECT YOUR KIDDO MIGHT BENEFIT FROM MEDICATION AT SOME POINT, GO TO ANOTHER DOCTOR. We were 13 min late to his follow up appt, yes I called & even left a detailed message, but they told me Id have to reschedule. Despite me voicing my concerns about the medication, which were obviously in one ear & out the other, they rescheduled the appointment, which is tomorrow. These medications really need to be monitored by specialist, not a generalized pediatrician.

I LOVED Dr. Ewert when my daughter was first born. She always was professional and super nice and informative. Her nursing staff was great as well. The reason they are getting one star is because of their staff. The office staff is incompetant, rude and one lady even hung up on me. When my daughter switched from Medicaid to CHIP there was suddenly a HUGE fiasco in billing. They REFUSED to see my sick child unless I paid out of pocket. Why would I do that? SHE HAS CHIP. I provided the ID number and the EDG number and they still refused to allow her to be seen because they couldnt find her in the system. How is that my problem?! I even called the Texas HHSC while we were in the office and confirmed verbally that she was an active and eligible patient. Even the state couldnt understand what the problem was. Luckily, I found another doctor who was able to get her in to be seen and had no problems accepting the ID number I gave them. I will NEVER go back to them, which is unfortunate because we liked the doctor.

Im sure the doctors are great, but the office staff is incredibly cold, rude and unprofessional. My wife was going to be 20 minutes late because she was stuck behind the buses in the school bus line and called to let them know. Their response was "Dont even bother coming in since you will be more than 15 minutes late. And we are going to charge your credit card since you didnt show." She explained that we she was going to be there, but she was unavoidably late. They just said "Too bad. You will be more than 15 minutes late therefore its the same as not being here and were going to charge you." They were exceptionally rude and uncaring. (Nevermind that they will make YOU wait for 30 minutes.) With two children, weve experienced our share of doctor offices and these guys are absolutely the worst based on the unprofessional office staff. Doctors are fine, but its just not worth the hassle. Were finding a new office for our childrens doctors.

Where do I begin? Test results were days late. Prescriptions were completely forgotten & never phoned in. Office is chaotic & no one seems to be in control. Phone system is outdated and drops calls frequently. Dr. Chinn and Beverly are wonderful, but dont seem to be able to fix the other overwhelming problems. The Forney office made all this tolerable until our baby was really sick and had to be seen in Rockwall. I was in tears by the end of most recent appointment. Wed love to keep Beverly, but just cant stand to send our baby into such chaos. Were finding another pediatric clinic. :-(

I wouldnt take a dying dog to this clinic. I am a pediatric nurse who takescare of one of his patients. We have been waiting since Oct. 2012 for an MRI of her heart so she can have dental surgery. When we went and saw Dr. Chinn for this child not walking. She wouldnt even order an X-ray. End result we got new doctors that are very loving and caring and EVEN the child likes her new MD. If you want an office staff who sits on their hands and donothing and MDs that will lookat you and afraid to touch the child, Go here.

Time to find a new doctor office. My son was just there at the end of sept and they declined a refill saying he needed to come in for his 3 month follow up. His 3 month follow up isnt till December. This medication has withdraws and its been hell for a 9 year old. I almost had to take him to the er today. Between the girl at the front desk being very rude to the nurse not even calling me back with my concerns.. nope.. Im in the medical field and I would lose my job if I treated patients like they are allowed to.

Dr. Pflieger and staff are more than fantastic. His whole staff is helpful from billing claims to scheduling appointments ASAP. If Dr. P is booked or working at the other office another qualified person is always ready to step in and see my child(ren). Dr. Pflieger sits on the floor with the boys, talks to THEM, and includes them in all coversations. This man, this doctor goes above and beyond his call of duty and we love Dr. P and his staff. Thank you for always listening, helping and always being there!

The staff is SOOOO rude and useless. The doctors are not much better. You will never see the same doctor ever. All that Dr. Haun can say is "Um and Like"...very unprofessional! If you are a working mother, forget getting an appointment after 4pm. They only reserve those appointments for their "ADHD Kids"! I wouldnt take a dead dog to this place. Its horrible. The only god thing I can say is that it is somewhat hygienically sound. But, that is literally the only positive thing.

This was my childrens pediatrician office for years. We left after dealing with all the chaos for too long. Staff is rude and have lied to me on occasion about results. The wait time was ridiculous even when you were early for your appointment. I paid off my balance, which was not very much, before transferring to a better pediatrician office and magically I get a bill that my balance was $100-$200. Highest amount through all the years. No, thank you! Thieves.

Very difficult to get a hold of ANYONE in the office but Dr Pflieger more than makes up for it! My 6 year old has ADHD and a very bad case at that and Pflieger has helped us find the best dose and medication for him. He is willing to help make adjustments to medication as needed! My son actually enjoys going to the Dr when we go to Dr Pfliegers office! Thank you so much Dr Pflieger for making the Drs office more bearable for my son and myself!
