Took my son in to the ER and waited 6.5 hours in the waiting area. We checked in 3 hours in advance online, which was useless. We arrived at 10pm. A few other people arrived 1hr after we did (11pm), but they were called in to a room before us (at Midnight). I do understand if others have a more severe condition, they should be seen first. But 3 out of the 4 appeared to not be in pain and looked okay. A couple were even having conversations and giggling. Yet, they were more of an emergency than my sick 7 year old. I chose to take him to this hospital because his father had never been in the ER longer than 4 hours, when he had been seen here in the past. While we were in the waiting area, we found out that an older man was bleeding from his head and had been there since 9pm and still had not gotten a room, or been seen. When we asked about the situation at around 2am, they stated that us 3, patients who had been waiting longest, should be getting called next. As we waited another 2hrs, we saw rooms get cleaned, but were still never called to a room. We kept hearing different answers from nurses, until finally at 4:30am, a nurse stated that she could not guarantee that wed be in a room before 7am because other people with "real emergencies" were coming in. Which, no one was occupying 4 rooms, and only 3 people were still waiting in the waiting area. After 6.5 hours, I had to leave to take my son to another hospital. If I would have known sooner that my sick 7year old was not an emergency enough to be seen at this hospital, I would have taken him somewhere else as soon as I found out. But since I was unaware that we were not likely to be seen after the 6.5 hours we had already waited, this was a totally crappy experience athe this emergency room. P.S. I am not the type of person that brings my child into the ER whenever they have a fever or cold. In the past 4 years, my son has gone to the ER only TWO TIMES, for his asthma. So bringing him for being sick wasnt just because he had a little cold. My son has been sick, and taken to 2 different doctors, the past 4 weeks. I brought him in because I couldnt keep him another day the way he was. He had popped blood vessels from his rough coughing. Yet, he wasnt sick enough to be seen and we couldnt even be guaranteed hed be seen within the 8hrs after check in time.

DO YOURSELF OR YOUR SICK LOVED ONE A FAVOR AND AVOID THIS SCAM EMERGENCY ROOM AT ALL COSTS! Dr. Joseph Pendon and his extremely inconsiderate staff will have you waiting HOURS (even if you show up at your promt online ER appointment as I did) hopping from waiting room to waiting room without a word of empathy or much communication at all. Im talking waiting rooms inside of waiting rooms! Try asking for a cup of water and brace yourself for the rude nurses who will answer "No youre almost out of here." As if that fictional statement could quench my thirst. When Dr. PENDON finally decides he needs that chair youre waiting in for the next victim, he will walk in with his trainee nurses and begin questioning your symptoms in front of them, only to ignore you or your concerns. I suppose he figured I would take his word on how I "physically look fine & am probably just getting over a virus," then be out the door after earning him another fat consciousless paycheck. WRONG!! I had to reiterate to DR. PENDON that I didnt make an ER visit to let a Doctor give me a top of the head opinion and send me on my way. He was still reluctant and his demeanor became even more rude and impatient when I asked him to run tests on me so that I could have a definitive idea of why I was suddenly suffering migranes and body aches. Isnt that the whole point afterall, getting exact information from the person you trust your health to? Ironically, after the lab results DR. Pendon still couldnt tell what is wrong with me but he sure did give me a nice motrin prescripton and told me to see a primary doc sometime! What a joke. Truly dont waste your energy or money here! It saddens me to say this about Christus Santa Rosa because this used to be my go to hospital as a child, and now I will not be stepping foot here again.

I would not recommend and would even advise against treatment at this facility. The LVN who was assigned to me spoke disrespectfully to her colleagues as well as the physician. She was not able to properly perform or explain what she was doing. Taking my blood pressure was a challenge to her. I am an average middle age guy, should not be that difficult. In a wound care clinic, you would think cross contamination would be a great concern. It was common practice here. Patient privacy seems unimportant as well. The doctor could be heard talking to other patients in the rooms on either side of me. He could be also be heard speaking about patients in the hall outside the room. You would think after waiting for over two hours the doctor would at least know my name and might have reviewed my chart. He didnt know my name nor my medical history that brought me to this clinic. He showed no empathy for my condition and went straight to selling me on Hyperbaric treatment. This was without ever examining the wound or my chart. I had my referring physician change my referral to Methodist Wound Care Clinic where I received amazing care! Steer Clear of this clinic. If you have the choice dont trust your care here.

Be aware that walking in the door and giving your name costs $3129. My daughter visited for a minor issue which involved a total of $23 in sterile items, $256 for a simple test and $3129 for "Emergency Room General" To be clear this does not include the doctor which was a separate bill (5 times less ironically). The $3129 was for data entry to enter my daughter into their system and I suppose for the fashionable wristband. This took 10 minutes. Which means, I assume that a receptionist earns on average $18,774 per hour, or a little over 39 million per year, nice. My daughter, as a college student earns $8.05/hr, which means that she will work roughly 100 hours to pay for her final cost for this visit ($748.97). If only she had gone into the lucrative medical receptionist business, she could have paid for her visit with a little over 2 minutes of work. Oh well. Live and learn. Its unfortunate that these costs dont have be advertised up front as in every other business in the world.

Horrible experience; 1 week ago I went in to the ER ; I had bad leg pain and my my blood pressure was high 200/98; I was put in a room for an hour with no blankets and I was so uncomfortable and cold; no one checked on me; finally the doctor comes in and says my pressure is just high because Im nervous and theres nothing wrong with my leg. I also remember while in the room, I could hear the staff talking and laughing about a patient who had diarrhea that it was gross; Im in shock that they were talking about a patient in such a manner thats against HIPPA laws. I hope this hospital specifically in the ER will be investigated for their wrongdoing. I left and went to an ER clinic, My Emergency 24/7; big difference of service; I found out I had a blood clot on leg and was put on meds for blood clot and blood pressure.
