The admittance process was nice, quick and easy. Immediately taken to surgical floor and a short wait before called back. My first nurse was great, I wish I remembered her name. She was one of the best things about the hospital. Afterwards seemed to be a nightmare. I was awake and could hear everything, but waking up from the anesthesia, I had a difficult time keeping my eyes open because I felt exhausted. The nurse, a different nurse from the beginning, kept getting frustrated with me for not opening my eyes, and seemed as if I was inconveniencing her telling her I was in pain. She kept answering very condescending then having my mom assure me she was right, which she wasnt. After finally getting to the car and her mad that my ride took a stop at the bathroom, we got in the car and she was gone. I still wasnt awake from the anesthesia. I could hear everything going on and about 15+ minutes later, my mom received a call stating they forgot to take out my IV. Who does that? Lucky we were still in the parking lot. It was a very mixed experience, but the negative over rules the positive. Id recommend to others but with much caution.

Professionally, the surgical staff was very nice, professional and efficient. Terrible administration. I have spent the last three weeks prepping for surgery there. I checked in this morning for surgery no problem. Waited in preop for and hour and a half. I was wheeled into surgery and put under, the next thing I know Im brought out of my anesthesia hearing the surgical team mumbling that they had never "seen anything like that before." It turns out that there was a snafu with my insurance, they stopped the surgery and rushed us out of the hospital. Nobody from administration talked to me or my wife. There is no lapse in coverage, just a bureaucratic issue with the insurance that should have been caught well before now. Completely unprofessional administration. No wonder they on had one person checked into the hospital.

CUMBERLAND SURGICAL HOSPITAL IS THE WORST DOCTORS OFFICE/EMERGENCY ROOM I HAVE EVER BEEN TO IN MY ENTIRE LIFE The doctor, Joseph Manthely, was insolent, rude, and took a ridiculously long amount of time to treat me. I hope one day he experiences the amount of pain that I felt that night and receives the same atrocious level of care that I did. If you are having a legitimate medical emergency, do not go here. I have never had an experience like this with medical professionals. I went to Seton ER in Kyle, TX just a week before for the same ailment and had a totally different experience.I cannot put into words how terrible my experience was at Cumberland Surgical Hospital. They should be shut down.

The spine epidermal was uncomfortable and painful because the Cumberland anesthesiologist failed to administer any sedation before the epidermal needle was inserted......unbelievably incompetent and uncaring. A week after the IV was inserted by a Cumberland nurse a large bruise is still very visible.....incredible and unacceptable. On a positive, the facility was very clean and the personnel were pleasant. This is my first and last visit to Cumberland Surgical Hospital.........Adious!

The admittance process was quick and easy. I was taken immediately to my surgical floor and taken back minutes later to be prepped for surgery. The entire medical team was very comforting and professional. The surgery was quick with no complications and I was cared for very tentatively, post-op. I felt very at ease through the entire visit.
