I love GNWAH!!! I went to them for 6 years, and only stopped because I moved 5 hours away. I always knew they were a wonderful hospital, but it really sank in once I had to find a new clinic in my new town. GNWAH is CLEAN! The staff is amazing, kind, friendly, and caring. I dont think that Ive ever waited more than 10 minutes to be seen, and even then the staff would check on me and let me know that there was a hold up. There have been a few times that I had to take my dog in for non routine appointments, and theyve always made a point to be able to get me in quickly. Doctor Johnson is wonderful. Hes very patient and well informed. Anytime Ive ever had a question he has taken the time to not only answer it, but explain it in a way that I understand. He understands that our pet is a part of our family, and treats her accordingly. He even makes follow-up calls to check to see if she is okay a few days after her appointments, my sons pediatrician doesnt even do this!!! I cannot say enough positive things about this vet hospital and wish that I still lived in San Antonio so I could continue to use them.

We picked up this hospital because it only 5mins driving from our house. The cost was alright but the staff I talked on phone before the first visit gave me the wrong information. Later I found out that it would cost us $86 more. Both Dr. Johnson and Dr. Meztler are great. They explained everything we needed and answered all the questions very patiently. We had our new kitten checked up, vaccined, neutered and declawed. Dr. Meztler called us everyday after the surgery to check on our kitten. Unfortunately our kitten got an infection on his claws we had to take him back to get him on antibiotics. I have a 3 years old and an infant. Every time I went there I was too hand-full to open the heavy door. The glass door is see through, the staffs can see exactly what we needed every time. But they NEVER came out to give us a hand. They just watched my little one struggled from trying to open that heavy door minutes and minutes. They love animals so bad that the human beings just dont matter anymore?

I have two dogs and a cat and they are very important as part of our family. The staff at Great Northwest Animal Hospital knows how much our pets mean to us. The concern that they have shown for the health of our pets has been fantastic. When we walk in they know each of my pets by name and I can tell that they sincerely care for them. The staff at the GNWAH has gotten each of my pets through some critical illness. Doctors Balzam and Johnson have brought one of my dogs from near death after she became sick from renal failure following a lumpectomy surgery. The staff is very kind in handling my geriatric cat and they have been extraordinary for my other dogs dental surgery when his tooth became infected. We also trust them to board our dogs while we are away on vacation. We had originally gone to another veterinarian to begin with and have found that the fees from GNWAH to reasonable for the services. Overall, my wife and I are very pleased with the Great Northwest Animal Hospital.

My dog died there. He was part of my family. We went in and he was diagnosed with a kidney infection. Upon bringing him home his health declined, so we brought him 1st thing in the am. We were told he needed surgery and medication for him to be saved. $3,500 was a big decision for us financially. As we were trying to make a decision, we called and asked the vet if our dog was healthy enough to survive the surgery. Hes said yes a 75 to 80% So we did it. I got a call 30 minutes later from the veterinarian saying the surgery went great! and mumbled but he stopped breathing and they are trying to do cpr. My heart sank and all I could think of was what about the 75% 80% chance and why are you calling so happy. I felt lied to, I would much rather him be honest about him might not making it. I felt surgery and suggested neuter was all about money. I would much rather my baby go in peace. please think twice about going here I wouldnt want this to happen to anyone else!

I started with one cat that I rescued from the street and my brother took me to another animal hospital. I went to this other animal hospital one more time after the first visit and was not impressed with them at all and I felt that my cat was not happy either. A goof friend of mine recommended Great Northwest Animal Hospital (GNWAH)as she used the hospital when her dog was alive. I was very happy and felt the warmth and care from GNWAH. I now have two cats that have been going to GNWAH since I adopted them. Another friend got a dog and I recommended that she take the dog to GNWAH. She eventually moved to Hawaii and left her dog here with a family member and all three animals still go to GNWAH to this day. I could not imagine taking them anywhere else! They not only receive the best treatment, but they are treated like family whenever they arrive. The staff know all of my fur babies by name and continue to care and follow up on them after each visit.

My husband and I have been taking our pets to Great Northwest since 2001. We began with a cat that lived to be 19 years old. She was given the best of care up until the end. The vet and the technicians cried along with me when she died. Our dog now receives the greatest of care. Every time we take her, we are warmly greeted and the staff is honestly happy to see her. It doesnt matter which vet she sees, she gets wonderful care and the doctors are more than willing to take time to answer our questions and concerns. To us, there is no better place to take a pet for care or boarding.

They pressure you into getting things your pet doesnt need. They want you tobdobtwo welness exams a year, i dont even go to the dr thst much. I had been taking my pets here since ibwas a little girl. When ibasked the vet if she could write meba prescription for my dogs heartworm meds, i found it less expensive online, she said it would be $12. I couldnt believe she was going to charge me to write a prescription just because i wasnt purchasing the meds through them. Do yourself a favor and take your pets to affordable pet care down the road. Im glad i did.

I have been coming to Great Northwest Animal Hospital for almost 10 years now. I love Dr Johnson because he truly cares about all of the patients he sees. I know this because he takes time out of his busy schedule to call me the day after our appointments to see how my animals are doing. His staff is phenomenal and far exceeds friendly customer service. Their level of care and professionalism is second to none. I will continue to bring all of my animals to GNWAH for years to come and I highly recommend them to anyone who asks.
