I normally do not take the time to write reviews; however, I write this one since I chose to visit Dr. Austins office because of his Google reviews and of course, because of his successes and accolades. I also liked the location and the pictures I saw online of the office. After years of not visiting a dentist for general fear of dentistry and unpleasant memories of dentist offices, I found myself obligated to see one due to a tooth emergency. I was pleasantly surprised to be given an immediate appointment, especially since I was leaving out of the country a few days after. Yaminee, Dr. Austin’s dental assistant, patiently addressed my concerns and was very kind with my anxiety. I also liked her cheerful disposition. Dr. Austin was quick to take care of my emergency. He did his best to save my tooth without (hopefully) needing a more intense route. I was very happy and relieved. Lorene helped me with the financial matters, and I was offered a new patient visit. While waiting for my appointment date, I was offered opportunities for openings from cancellations, which I very much appreciated. The dental hygienist in my new patient appointment was Valerie, who was also very kind. She took her time to clean my teeth and cared about doing a very thorough job. I could tell she really enjoys what she does. Dr. Austin did not delay in entering the room once she was done. During my third visit, Dr. Austin was again quick to enter the room and started work on my teeth immediately. He is very focused and to the point. Tiana, Dr. Austin’s dental assistant during this visit, was very sweet and teamed very well with Dr. Austin in taking care of my teeth. I was surprised at how quickly I went in and out of the office. After three visits in the last three months, I was able to observe the following: Dr. Austin makes sure his practice runs smoothly, effectively, and on time. Everyone knows what to do and works as a team. I definitely like the combination of a skilled, successful dentist; a neat and modern office; and a business practice that functions extremely well. I never had to wait but a few minutes (or less) for Dr. Austin to enter the room, unlike anything I have ever experienced in any medical office. Once in the room, Dr. Austin works quickly and efficiently. His team is also wonderful, and I like the communication within to make things happen. Dr. Austin and his staff have quality in mind without sacrificing the kind patient relationship. When I walk into the office everyone is at work and obviously working toward the common goal of providing that high quality service. Thank you.

NOTE: Cannot opine on the performance of Dr. Austin himself because my appointment did not get far enough for me to see him. When it came time for a full x-ray set, I asked if my prior dentist could send my (less than a year) old x-rays over. The girl left to ask "the front desk." The business manager came back instead of the girl and abruptly (ok, obnoxiously) told me that I needed to have scheduled a send-over in advance. She then proceeded to remind me of the favor she had done me by rescheduling my appointment on a short notice (which is true, she did do that) and said I had to get the x-rays done now. I indicated that I had in fact told her in advance about my preference to use my prior x-rays. She responded "No. you did not. I have the phone conversation recorded and I can show you that you did not tell me that. Because you did not tell me, we will be doing the x-rays today" in the same obnoxious tone, and with lots of nasal inhaling. Im not sure which was more annoying, her tone, or her attempt to call me me out as a liar by threatening a recording. At any rate, I hopped off the chair, told the x-ray girl that I did not care for the managers tone (who had turned on her heel and left), said thank you, and walked out. She was probably upset because Im sure that full x-rays are an insurance cash cow, but her job is to manage business, not chase business away. Had she handled saying "no" to my request in a professional fashion, I gladly would have stayed. Instead she has a vacant time slot and no x-ray billable at all. Anyone know a kind dentist office who wants to fix a filling?

We have been going to Dr. Austin (my son and I) since he opened his private practice a few years ago. Dr. Austin is professional and knows his profession well. He is gentle and patient. His hygienists are fabulous and very sweet and patient with my son who was reluctant to get his teeth x-rayed and cleaned. The office is super clean! We are treated like family when we go every six months for our cleanings! We are staying with Dr. Austin! Update: 11 Aug 2014 Today my son and I went in for our routine cleanings. We were greeted immediately upon arrival, and our appointments started right on time. My son did the very best hes ever done! Colleen is super, duper sweet and very good with children. :) Dr. Austin is very blessed to have her as a part of his staff! As usual, Dr. Austin listened to my concerns and was willing to share his knowledge with me. Thank you Team Austin!!! Update: 24 Nov 14 Today I needed a couple of fillings, and my son needed sealants. My son was very apprehensive about having to keep his mouth open for extended periods of time. Dr. Austin and his assistant were very kind and caring, making sure to do what was best for my son, even though it made it more challenging to get the dental work done. Thank you again so very much!!! Your team is truly a blessing!

I rarely leave reviews, but I feel compelled to leave one for this dental office. Dr. Austin and his team have consistently provided professional service, the four years I have been a patient. Appointments are always on time. Check-in/check-out is always efficient. The front staff are more than courteous, as well as the hygienists and dental assistants. Dr. Austin is professional, knowledgeable, honest, and kind. From the routine procedures to the not so routine, he does excellent work and he is gentle throughout the process. He patiently explains all questions and concerns, no matter how minor they seem; I have never felt rushed or hesitant to ask a question. He also seems to take the least invasive approach to treatments when he can... I’ve been to dental offices that were half as nice as his office, and felt like I was being “nickled and dimed” for unnecessary procedures and/or products. I have never felt like that here. I will say with absolute certainty, this is a dentist who truly cares about the well being of his patients, and it is clear in every way in which his practice is run. Dental visits are never enjoyable, but the entire team has made the experience more than tolerable. There is a reason this business has so many 5 stars, folks.

Yesterday was my second dental hygiene appointment at Dr. Austins office. I can not express enough how happy I was to choose Dr. Austin and his staff for my dental care needs. I personally have worked in the dental field for 13 years as an assistant. When it came time to look for a dental office for myself I was very particular. On both occasions that I have been seen at this office I have been welcomed into the practice, seen on time, and the quality of care has been exceptional. Any questions that I had regarding my oral health or my account status (insurance verification, eligibility, and billing) were all discussed and explained with great detail. Colleen is a fabulous and thorough hygienist, and Dr. Austin is very professional and personable. When a patient is in a dental chair, I think its safe to assume that its not the most favorite place to be. I love the environment of this office because it makes a patient at ease when an office runs this smoothly. Kudos to all of you!! See you in 6 months!
