I was initially inpatient at the Nix on Babcock and was completely blown away at the amazing care. On stay number two, I was transferred to Vance Jackson because another patient who was in at the same time with me before also went in and they thought it would be detrimental to our treatment. Lets just say I was in for a nasty surprise. Nix Vance Jackson is nothing short of a prison. I was essentially threatened with court when I disapproved of my treatment plan. This tactic may work on the majority of their patients with lower cognitive function, but not with me. I immediately notified staff I was refusing treatment and food. After this, I was released the next day "against medical advice" and repeatedly told that they would not give me any prescriptions because of it. I didnt go to them for drugs, I went to them for treatment. I will never go to the Nix again, even the one on Babcock, for fear that Ill end up on Vance Jackson again.

This place is out of control and needs to be shut down. Complete neglect of patients and absolutely no quality of care. Not to mention they break HIPAA. We will be seeking consultation with a medical malpractice attorney after my fathers basic human rights were completely neglected. He wasnt fed, wasnt offered showers, clothing, etc. He was detained against his will even though we were able to show documentation that the man has DEMENTIA (not a mental illness). They wouldnt give him his medications he needs DAILY. They never even informed us that theyd detained him. We had to find out because another patients family looked us up on Facebook 2 days after hed been there. Its insane!

This hospital has a legendary reputation for driving the cattle call through their hallways. This team is devoid of humanity. Thats a leadership problem. My prayers for their staff. Rebranding this hospital would turn lemons into lemonade. Changing the model for delivery of care, and shifting the paradigm completely, could be revolutionary. In the meantime, broken patients, familys and futures suffer on the sidelines. This situation is not good for the local community, the city, the state or the humbled souls who reach out for a hand to hold onto, while in dire crisis.

Im very pleased to see this place has 1 star reviews all around. I spent a week here and Ive never encountered a more rude and neglectful staff. Practically all the staff are rude and patronizing to all the patients. One of the nurses even told me to "Shut up" once. I was very fortunate however to meet decent people within the patients. The social workers, in contrast were very nice and supportive. Its the nurses who are bad. Avoid this place at all costs. SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN!

My son is in that place and isnt allowed to use the phone every time I call him his either asleep or taking a shower. But when he gets to call he tells me crying that its very bad in there. And the nurse on call said I couldnt sign him out. I know he needs help but I dont want him to get out worse in a deep depression. I hope someone from their can call me back. I want to sign my son out.... the rating are terrible I have never had problems in any other center.

This happened today 4/25/2017 @ 1:50pm I called to find out about services and was greeted by a rude, obnoxious woman on the phone. If your looking for help dont go here. If the people who answer the phone are any indication, youll just end up worse.

I just went in for my evaluation today and I loved it the lady at the front desk was sweet and patient and the Therapist was very understanding and had a great attitude:) Im looking forward to doing my treatment as an out patient here.

These people are very rude and very unprofessional. They sent my suicidal mother home and told us she was not depressed and she will get over it in time. No follow ups, no medications, NOTHING.

Went for a med review was happy to hear I wasnt staying but got meds changed and am doing better. Glad my Counceler found this dr for me
