Ive never had a good experience with UDHI. I was diagnosed with a rare liver disease 5 years ago and continued to see them because I was told they were the only ones who knew about my rare condition. However, every time I asked for more information on symptoms or things I could do to aid in recovery, I was told there was nothing I could do but take a pill. All of the education I received about my disease I found online. And when I approached the doctors (Poole and his PAs) about them, I was told to stop looking at the internet and let it be what it was. They always acted too busy to answer questions, too busy to see me, but never too busy to take my money. I finally went for a second opinion today and got ALL of my questions answered!!! ALL of them! I realized today that we can advocate for ourselves and push our healthcare providers to give us knowledge and results...and if they dont... you need to find someone else who can. I will NEVER recommend anyone to UDHI or Dr. Poole. Ever.

Dr Pugh acted like he didnt care about what was wrong. I was bleeding excessively all the time and in a lot of pain for over a year. He acted like this was no big deal. He did a scope and found nothing wrong. I went for a follow up with is PA and she couldnt find anything wrong. I went to a different doctor and it turned out to be a simple fissure. I was bleeding and in pain for over a year and kept going Dr Pugh and they couldnt see it but this other Dr could. I would not trust Dr. Pugh anything more dangerous. He just doesnt care! A simple fissure and neither found it after 3 appts?????

All of the doctors and PA’s are knowledgeable and well educated! They are great to work with and I never had a question that was left unanswered. I feel comfortable working with the PA’s when a doctor is unable to get me in. Some of the greatest doctors and PA’s I’ve ever worked with! Spencer was able to diagnose a problem that I had been having for a few years, and all the other practices I went to couldn’t ever figure it out. He did! I would recommend UDHI for all of your GI needs!

My wife received a procedure at this facility and I was astounded at the care and time provided by Dr. Lowe. The nurses were efficient and the scheduling was almost spot on which is a total rarity at most medical facilities. These people really care for you and realize that it is about the patient and not the doctor. If you or your family need a colonoscopy or have any other kind of stomach issues I would totally reccomend UDHI. They really were great.

Ive had stomach problems all my life and ive seen several doctors, with no answers. Finally i came to UDHI and saw Nate McBride, PA. He was so helpful, nice, and really cared about my issues. I went on to have some procedures done in which I met Dr. Lowe. Dr. Lowe is one of the nicest physicians i have ever met. He really wanted to get me feeling better. I have refered numerous friends and family here and they also have recieved excelent care.

The PA lack sufficient knowledge of current development in the field to be useful. In fact, their perception around PPIs is that they are innocuous -which is not true (recent studies show links to cancer, increased risk of gastroenteritis, and neurological issues). Also, competent perception around things like SIBO is non-existent as is how to really test patient issues rather than merely dismissing them with a script. Disappointing.

I have never been treated with such great care and attention as I was at UDHI. Dr. Lowe was extremely professional and showed a particular interest in me as a patient. His nursing staff were all very helpful and made me feel comfortable. Colonoscopy screenings are a must for everyone at some point or another, and I after my experience with UDHI, Ill be recommending them to family and friends!

The absolute worse experience I have ever had with health care. The staff was not friendly or helpful. No bedside manor. The billing has been an absolute nightmare. They are unapologetic, argumentative, and not willing to work with you at all. I would never recommend them to anyone, and unfortunelty visited them after hearing bad reviews.

I had a colonoscopy by Dr. Brian Pugh in March of 2015. He was professional and caring. Since I have a needle phobia, I was fully awake during the colonoscopy. Thus, I saw and heard what went on too. I would not hesitate to go to Dr. Pugh again in the future.
