I wanted to get a new Dr at this clinic for reasons I wont go into, Dr Cook was recommended to me. I called to make an appt and Esther, a person whos only job is to answer the phone and relay messages to the Dr gave me the third degree on why I was going to another Dr after having seen mine for 8yrs, I was so taken aback I actually answered her questions like an idiot. After giving me the third degree for it seemed 15 minutes she accused me of being a drug seeker!! I reminded her Dr Cook will NOT prescribe pain meds so how could I be a drug seeker? I have had nothing but problems with this woman since, Ive reported her twice now but she still answered the phone "you wont get anyone but me so what do you need" yesterday, then sent me to a phone that rang about 50x and then hung up on me. They have caller ID so she knows who is calling, this woman has never laid eyes on me and knows nothing of my medical history or chronic pain. I digress though. I went to see Dr Cook, who, turns out is NOT an MD but a DO, basically a glorified chiropractor, she manipulates bones and muscle. I was shocked to find this out but decided to give her a try anyway. They took my vitals, did a blood test and took a urine sample then I went in the room to wait. She came in, didnt shut the door, asked how I was. I told her ok and asked how she was, she told me she was very uncomfortable even being in the room with me, that she didnt want to see me because I was looking for another Dr and shes at the same clinic, WHAT?!? I asked her if patients dont have the right to change Drs if they want to. She was fidgety and just kept telling me she didnt want to be in the room with me. I asked if she was going to see me and she said no, I then asked if she was going to charge my insurance, she said "Of course not, its not about the money", yea, right. She told me to GO TO ANOTHER CLINIC!! I told her that because she was uncomfortable I should have to drive farther than 2 miles to a completely different clinic? She said yes. I wished her luck with her practice and left. She will need all the luck she can get with that attitude, and not being an MD to boot. I have been going there for over 8yrs and have always been treated so nicely and professionally until Esther and Dr Cook. Sometimes you just know its time for a change with Drs, Ive been chronically ill for 42yrs, I know a thing or two about Drs and clinics. Usually I would give this place a glowing review, sadly I can only give it a1 or lower now. DONT go to this so called "Dr" Cook and if Esther answers the phone be careful what you say, be direct and to the point and no extra information.I am sorry to say Im probably going to leave the clinic, being chronically ill it will be hard to have to drive farther, but I pay these peoples wages and I wont be treated like this. I went to my pharmacy after and told them, they said they have heard disturbing things about the clinic lately. Just be careful. Thank you for your time in reading my review, I hope it helps you.

Great experience with Emily Cook, DO. I was very hesitant as Ive been seeing the same physician for ten years or more and then my insurance changed. I was more than hesitant I was petrified as I have had quite a few problems over the past few years. Being a new patient is a little scary as is divulging so much personal information. Emily made me feel at ease. She took the time to address not only my medical problems but to find out a little about who I am as a person. I actually feel as though some things might change in my life for the better because of this change. Ive never had a doctor come in and simply ask me to feel free to open up and share some things about myself that werent medical related just to get to know me better. I felt very welcomed, cared for, and appreciated. Her assistant Kaelee was also great to work with. Very thorough and easy to talk to. Thanks SO much for the wonderful experience. This reminds me that sometimes change can be good.

I have seen multiple doctors at this clinic, most recently Dr. Cook. I was reading some of the reviews and some one put that she is not a doctor because she is a DO. This is not true and obviously there was a miss understanding. She is a doctor, it is just weather they chose MD, or DO. It is what the doctor choses to have behind their name. She can also do some manipulation techniques as well. She and all the doctors including the insta care do an amazing job with the patients. They make you feel like they truly care about you. They help you get to the bottom of things. Some times you may have to weight a little, but if you are patient enough you will learn that someone was in need of extra time from them. Love this clinic and will always come here!!

I checked in at 10:30 am to get a lump on my neck checked out. They said the wait would be about a hour. I waited in the lobby for 2 hours. Then waited in the examination room for another 30 min. That is just plain bull crap. The doctor walked in with two sheets of paper one had my vidales on it and the other telling me what was on my neck. He thought he knew what it was before he ever saw me. I spent 3 min in the room with him. I left the office at 2:30 in the afternoon. He said its probably nothing just keep a eye on it. I didnt trust him so I went to a different Doctor. Then found out the the lump on my neck is something very serious. I will never go there again. I hope people have better luck than I did

The entire staff at DR Emily Cooks office are so kind and professional. We are so thrilled to have been fortunate enough to find Emily Cook and have her as our Primary Care Physician. She is extremely knowledgeable as a doctor, and equally caring and attentive. Just being in her presence makes us fell so much better compared to when we first walk in to her office. Most people speak well about their doctors, but after tragically losing Lance Capener as our primary care physician, we feel like Emily Cook came to us as a true gift from Heaven, which DR Capener may have had something to do with after his passing. We give IHC South Ogden a well deserved A+ rating in all aspects. Sincerely, Lyle and Lisa Bailey

Saw the InstaCare doctor and she prescribed me a steroid. She said Id be better after taking 4 pills for two days but after the two days I was still in pain. I called to see if I could get a few more seeing as 4 was hardly enough, and after calling and leaving messages the front desk lady finally called back and said I would have to come in again for them to be able to get a prescription. Basically just wanting me to pay another $50 so they can give me a couple more pills. I will be going to Ogden Clinic now since my symptoms are not better. Thanks a lot!
