I have been taking our animals to this clinic since they first opened their doors. I had always been very happy with them until they started changing staff. The last straw was about six weeks ago when I took my kitty in to be seen for a growth (on his cheek, large enough he was chewing on it) in his mouth. After a very brief 30 second exam they immediately wanted to do a $250 surgery to completely remove the growth and have it tested. They kept telling me it was cancerous and they needed to determine what type it was. I felt more like they were looking for a quick buck rather than wanting to help him. When I told them I couldnt pay for the surgery right then they reluctantly placed him on antibiotics and told me that they wouldnt help. After three days of having him on antibiotics, and making me fearful and stressed out, the growth shrinked. Knowing cancer does not respond to anitbiotics, I made an appointment with another vet for a second opinion. The new vet thoroughly examined his mouth and decided to finish off the course of antibiotics. During the follow up appointment the growth had not shrunk anymore so they removed a tiny piece of it for testing. The results are in and proved there is not any cancer. He has stomatitis, an inflammatory condition that he will always have but its managed with medications. Not only did my kitty receive a better exam, the cost of the testing and follow up appointments and medications was not even half of what Midvalley wanted for just the surgery. My new vet did say that had I gone the route Midvalley wanted to go and had the entire growth removed it would have disfigured my kitty. To remove it completely they would have had to cut up into his cheek and lips. My brother and sister have also had very negative experiences with Midvalley Animal Clinics treatment of their cats forcing them to change vets. I personally will never again take my three kitties to Midvalley

I had to take my cat to the vet for a Upper Respiratory infection. This was the first and last time I ever will take a pet to this place. Immediately upon entering they had no patience to hear the problem. They seemed irritated to even have to help me. Once they took us to the exam room and the doctor came in. She immediately suggested my kitty to be put down. This was before she ever examined my cat. She examined him, and said he had the URI, was in liver failure, and had something hard she could feel. She didnt even do blood work to determine he was in liver failure, this was purely based off her glancing at him. She took him back for an x-ray which revealed a very bad blockage in his bowels. Again she said to put him down. I took the time while I was in the office to call my brother, after I checked into the blockage on the Internet. After reading about the blockage and how it typically will kill cats to do the surgery we decided the humane thing to do was to put our cat down. They could not leave us alone with our cat for our last moments with him before he was gone. They were too concerned to get their money. They came in the room about every 3-5 for the next 30ish minutes wanting the money before they would put him down. I have nothing good to say about this place. Anyone who has a cat please go to Dancing Cats Feline Health Center. They care there, unlike Midvalley animal clinic. One additional item the "doctor" has only been out of vet school for 2 years, so to think she can diagnose a cat by looking at him is ridiculous. Shame on Dr. Timna Fischbein.

The first couple of experiences were very professional . the last 3 were not .We took our dog in to be neutered. At that time we found a cist in his mouth .The doctor said it was a simple surgery to fix and he would do it while the dog was under. Needless to say that was not the way it turned out. We had a very sick dog for days after finally had to take him back to see a different doc we were not told at the time the doctor took to much of the skin and the bone had started to die around the gum . We were really worried about our dog but things finally got better. Would have been nice to have been informed of this at the time. Thought about not going back but people do make mistakes . Made a appointment a week in advance for my other dog to be seen went in was stuck in a room for approx. 1 hour when we asked what kind of time are we looking at we were told they had no idea there were still 2 others in front of us. My time is valuable as I am sure yours is to the professionalism was lost on us .We will at this time seek a new vet clinic. Hope your experience is better than ours. Susan Nielsen

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Midvalley Animal Clinic! I have taken all 3 of my dogs here for regular checkups and shots. Luckily we havent had any emergencies until the other day. I woke up to my dog Chopstix not moving. She wouldnt move her head or legs and she couldnt stand or walk. I thought for sure I was going to lose my baby girl. I went to another vet years back with my other dog that charged me $700 to put her down, and told me she would would just be thrown into a group cremation since i didnt have an additional $200 right then. I begged them to let me pay it in the morning so i would be able to keep her remains with no luck. I thought this was going to be the case. NOT EVEN CLOSE!!! Dr. Flynn told me she had bulging discs and she had to stay overnight. I thought it would be so much money but didnt care. She has been there 3 days and they only charged me $120!!!! Love these guys and dont listen to the negative reviews. BEST VET EVER! Thank you for saving my baby! Love you all

Wow! Just got my 9 month old husky spayed and it was just a freaking treat. They dont give you a complimentary e-collar (cone) you have to pay for it. Right when we walked out of the door a couple stitches pulled open. Theyre suppose to do three layers of stitches which Im almost positive they only did one. So I had to take her back in and wait for an hour for someone to say it was fine. Now 2 weeks later she has a huge bump where the scar is and its swollen and purple almost like a blood blister. Yeah Im ranting because I just called and the receptionist wouldnt e even give my number to one of the vets so they could call when they werent busy to just quickly talk it through to see if it was an issue. I understand I need to bring her in but their hours suck and I just want to talk to a freaking vet. K cool people - never ever going back there for anything. I was wondering why they had so many appointments available - now I know ...
