I came in for a general exam and diagnosis because my cat was scratching her chin until it bled. The vet didnt diagnose the root of the problem. He was incredibly unhelpful and very short with me. I was in the room with him and he had me hold her down while he scraped the scabs with his FINGERNAIL, I looked away because he kept doing it again and again and it wouldnt come off. The visit seemed so primitive. Other vets might have taken a sample and put it under a microscope. While he just said it was a "skin irritation" and gave me some salve to apply it. What upsets me is that he didnt help me understand how it got there. They kept insisting it was a wound inflicted by another cat. Even though I told them my cat is mostly indoors and outdoors when I am outside watching her. I dont let her play with outdoor cats and shes the only cat in my house. The vet and nurse didnt believe me. The nurse was also impolite. She came in with an overpowering smell of incense that took over the room. It smelled ok but dear goodness it was a lot. I explained to her how my cat is indoor and very rarely outdoor and she also was not attentive and I think she told the doctor my cat is outdoor. They were rude, and short and are not very good at listening or helping their customers understand the problem. This wouldve earned the rating a 2 or 3. Except... The experience of the place was frightening. We sat in these old benches where the cushions are coming off and creaked when you sat down. They mixed cats with dogs. It was loud. The place was all white besides the counter and it looked dirty. It had a wet dog must. The secretaries talked A LOT. Didnt necessarily seem about work and were also very short with me. They didnt ask for me to sit, one of them told me to go sit because I was hovering. I had some questions, but never mind that I guess. I called at noonish and they accepted me right away and I came in. 20 minutes later the office was in a state of emergency and they were getting overwhelmed apparently and told multiple people on the phone that to get anybody in was going to be awhile because they had multiple walk ins and that they should just come in at another time. If I was that person on the phone, I wouldve just rescheduled somewhere else. The way they handled that was unprofessional. Because hearing the secretary say that made me feel bad too, because I was a walk-in. So I am giving this place a 1. Good luck to these folk. I am glad I didnt get my vaccines done here.

Hi ai
I began taking my 1 year old Pomeranian to Alcor Cresta when the late Dr. Good was the vet there. I was so impressed by his gentleness and his willingness to explain every detail I needed to know. And the price they charged for the exam and the shots was so much less than I had come to expect from other vets. I was so relieved to finally find someone compassionate and caring, both with my baby and with me. So when Dr. Good tragically passed away far too young, I felt it was a huge loss to the whole community, and was worried for myself and my little guy. I was wary when Dr. Clayton first came to the clinic, sure that no one could ever be as compassionate and knowledgeable as Dr. Good. To my relief, after a few visits I found that Dr. Clayton was truly sweet and caring to my little guy, and patient with my questions as well. Later, we added a Chihuahua puppy to our family, and Alcor Cresta added Dr. Mark. Each time I meet a new person at the clinic, I am astounded by the compassion and love they have for animals, and very grateful for the patience and knowledge they share with me. Our little girl had an accident and broke her front leg. We were terrified wed have to amputate. The doctors spent so much time coming up with options for us, and working with us through an operation and months and months of rehabilitation visits. Both doctors stayed fully aware of every detail of her treatment, and honestly explained all of the possible complications and spent time both in reassuring us and in helping us face the realities. Now, many months later, our little Chihuahua is a speed demon running around on her fully healed leg, and both staff and doctors recognize my two babies and call them by name every time we come in. Despite the terrible things she had to endure, and the unavoidable pain she suffered, our little girl is never afraid to come into the clinic, and our little guy LOVES coming to socialize. That is because everyone at the clinic just radiates love and appreciation for animals, and they did everything they could to take away the inevitable fear that such pain creates. Its amazing to me that Alcor Cresta has truly been able to carry on the legacy of care and love for animals in a way I think Dr. Good would have been proud of. There is no place Ive ever been, including my own human doctors, where I have ever seen the same exemplary level of care, devotion, and expertise.

Alkor Cresta Veterinary Hospital is not the place to take your pets. They are dishonest and a little ungracious with peoples feelings and discourteous with peoples time. I called to talk to the Vet that was treating our pug for cancer. I called in the morning to talk to him about her condition and see if it was time, ”Just like he told me to do” weeks before. The lady at the desk told me he would call me back. I waited all day as my baby girl got worse and worse. Her belly was just turning bright red and started to blister, she was in pain and we could just feel it. This is my baby girl. After about 6 hours of not hearing from him I called them back and after waiting on hold for 10 minutes I finally got someone on the other end of the phone. The thing is, it was not my Vet I was put on the phone with. It was someone I was not familiar with. I then began to explain to him what was up, letting him know about our appointments and how the vet had told us what to do and the plan he had set up. He told me to wait while he looked us up. After 5 minutes he gets back on, and starts to tell me how they have not seen us in 10 months. I tried to tell him about what the other vet had set up, but he was intolerant to anything I said. After getting a little frustrated I grabbed the Vet’s business card who had done the surgery and was treating her for the cancer. I asked him about this guy by name and he said “He is not here” I asked several times what was up, was he off, on vacation? etc… After pressuring him more he admitted that VET had left the practice. He then told to set up an appointment, he quoted me a price and told me they were booked out till next week. Lets just say this left a bad taste in my mouth, kind of like old sour chicken livers in a pile of &^%$. We had to put our pug down today. It was awful and a very hard thing to do. Emotional to say the least. We are still a mess over having to do that. We used a different clinic who was sympathetic to our pugs needs. All i can say is that clinic is on top of it. They helped us and not only took care of us they did it with respect. It was less money then i expected and I will be giving them 5 stars and letting them know how amazing they are. If anyone wants to know the name of the other place just email me.
