To: Sergio Abarca RE: Jarvis PA I saw the PA Jarvis at your office today but Im sure he never "saw" ME!!!...I know he never introduced himself and he was so indifferent that he never even made eye contact with me..or even used my name during the visit...he was too busy looking at the computer..I am a registered nurse and I was shocked that even in this day an age we are still putting up with medical people who treat women in such an indifferent and dismissive way.... I do not have insurance so I only go to see a doctor if I really need to...he was cold, dismissive, and arrogant. I know what a good medical professional looks like and it is not the face of your PA Jarvis...anybody who has had medical training in this decade should know that "pain" is the "5th vital sign"...Obviously You dont care what I think or that I paid cash in full when I left...I know that you dont receive 75% reimbursement on your medicare billings...I was under the impression that as a self pay patient you could not charge me more than what medicare or private insurance reimburses... I have lived in Tooele county for 45 years and if you are wondering why people still go to SLC in search of a good medical professional just look across the table at your PA at your next staff meeting..take a good look at this"person" who represents your practice and had the audacity charge me $129.60 for what I dont know, as he did not even have the decency to say "I hope you feel better"!! It was all too obvious that he could have cared less... In this country and county where we pay a premium for health care we should at least get compassion not the cold indifference as I felt today!! Perhaps when he gets a little older he will lose some of his arrogance...but how many patients will he have made too feel stupid and not worth his time... I wonder...does that oath still say "first do no harm" and isnt here something about "relieve suffering"? As you age your presence in this American society diminishes..and today your PA diminished me and made it more than clear that he was not concerned about anything but his own personal agenda!! Tell him not to be concerned the "old lady" with the hurt back wont be bother him again! Jo Anne Elder
