After so many dissapointments with several Veterinarian facilities in the area, Dr.Hay is a breath of fresh air. My dog is extremely scared and wary in the vet office and can sometimes be aggressive due to his fear. Both Dr.Hay and his vet tech sat on the floor in order to appear approachable and non-threatening. No other vet has done this. They obviously understand dog behavior and talked to him in a soothing and calm manner the whole time. Unfortunatly my dog let his anal glands emit during his examination b/c he was so frightened. But Dr.Hay and his staff treated it professionally and as a common occurence. I appreciate their warmth, understanding and professionalism especially in dealing with a dog that absolutely hates "going to the Doctor." I just hope Dr.Hay doesnt retire!!

Dr. Hay at Airport Animal Clinic is a very down-to-earth, practical and caring vet who takes time with his patients and explains things well. He doesnt do needless procedures but he does do everything possible for pets. In other words, hes like an old-time country doctor who is up on all modern technology. He is very knowledgeable and recommends specialists when necessary. His prices are very, very reasonable. For example, in summer of 2008 my dog had four or five lipomas surgically removed, and a teeth cleaning, and it was all only about $400. there was no charge when her stitches were removed. His staff is very capable, friendly and professional. I wouldnt change vets, even though his office is not close to my house or work.

Dr. Hay and his staff were great today. They took care of my "Heinz 57" dogs like they were their own. Only did what was needed to keep them happy and healthy. My little dog, Sam, is very "anxious" and tends to get very scared. He had to have several teeth pulled and the staff at Airport Animal Clinic did fantastic at keeping him calm and collected. Both dogs received their shots and he really loved my dogs. Was more affordable than any other vet in this area. I would recommend Airport Animal Clinic to any one who loves their animals. Thanks Dr. Hay for taking such good care of Sam and Chloe!

I am brand new to the area and needed to find a new vet for my dogs. This place has really good reviews so I called to set up an appointment. Heres how the conversation went once I asked for an appointment: Whoever answered their phone: first of all, we are not accepting new patients unless you know someone whos already a patient here. Me: well Im new the area and know absolutely nobody here. Whoever answered the phone: well I cant make an appointment. First rude person Ive dealt with in Charlottesville.

Dr. Hay is an outstanding Veterinarian. Kind, compassionate and professional are just a few words that can be applied to this DVM. His staff is dedicated to the well being of animals. Unfortunately, Dr. Hay is so busy he has limited availability (if any) for new patients so, please, try not to be disappointed if unable to obtain AAC services. - KB

Dr. Hay and his staff are so caring and patient with my little Sophie. The staff is so helpful when I call about my Sophie. They never rush you through. They always take their time to explain things and treat you more like family. I will never take my Sophie anywhere else.
