I dont use physicians very often and save those visits for an annual physical or infrequent serious illness , however, I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly we got in to see the physician without an appt. and how courteous everyone was. Everything was very clean and orderly and my labs came back fast and were explained to me clearly and patiently. It was an overall good experience. I took one star away because I was prescribed augmentin for a possible sinus infection and the dr. commented that amoxicillin would not be effective against sinusitis. When I filled the prescription, I found out it was an expensive brand ($77) of 875mg amoxicillin with a 125 mg of a potassium salt added in (not part of the antibiotic function according to a pharmacist), so I was a bit disappointed that the doctor didnt know that he was in fact prescribing amoxicillin and that I could have gotten the same daily dose of antibiotic for $4 with a script for 500mg amoxicillin taken 4x a day instead of the $77 875mg 2x a day. But that is not that unusual for physicians to be unfamiliar with the drugs they prescribe. He was otherwise efficient and effective...

This was my first visit to Patient First. I had run out of some psychiatric meds while changing physicians. I wasnt really hopeful of even finding a Doctor to write my meds because this happen a couple years ago and I went to several places including the hospital and no Doctor would refill my medication. The Cedar Rd location was closest to me. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. First of all I am self pay and was expecting a significant bill but it was actually less than my regular monthly psychiatrist visit. I love the way the receptionist greets you (most offices front desk ignore you as much as possible) then a nurse quickly checks you in and they take your vitals and your in a room within 5 minutes. Now thats Service. The wait time in the exam room was not that long either considering it was a busy Saturday. The Doctor I seen was Dr. Thompson he was excellent. The nicest most caring Doctor I have seen in a while. The nurses are on their game too. Fast and friendly. I dont usually write reviews but I felt like Patient First should definitely be the first.

Very frustrated with my experience here. I didnt have time to make an appointment with my family doctor, so I walked into patient first before I had to work. Barely able to stand up and they told me it was a sore throat/cold and that "these thing come together with time." Wrote me a prescription for antibiotics in case I didnt feel any better, but didnt give me any direction as to when I should pick up the prescription, if I should check back in, or where to go for a pharmacy. They also sent out a throat culture test, and never contacted me with the results. I did, however, receive a bill. I ended up picking up the prescription, but continued to have the same symptoms reoccur after a couple weeks. It turns out I had mono the whole time, and am now paying bills for a wrong diagnosis and a lab results that I never saw.

The wait time wasnt terrible, but I rated it lower because there was very few patients and several staff. My rx was sitting outside my room for at least 10 min before the dr came back to deliver it. Great dr - Ill request her again, but the wait times didnt match the atmosphere of the place and patients there. It was confusing. I totally understand long wait times when youre slammed. I only saw/heard 2 other patients the whole time I was there and I saw a minimum of 3 doctors and 4 nurses, plus additional staff. I will be back. Perhaps it was just a fluke or there was something going on I simply wasnt aware of.

This facility was very quick and professional. The staff greeted me with a smile that made me feel like I was family. The bells that sounded off for each patient checking in and checking out gave me a sense that they were organized. The doctors especially Dr. Johnson was every efficient, courteous, professional, and gave me the results that I needed for care. I would recommend this place to all my family and friends. This Patient First not only serves the residents of Chesapeake but it serves a good amount of patients from the North Carolina area as well.

As I drove into the parking lot I was afraid it would be a long wait, because the parking area was full. The wait was really minimal. The staff is very efficient, personable and caring. When you arent feeling good and are seeking medical care everything can seem daunting, but the Patient First staff is top notch. I dont normally write reviews but I needed to because they are that extraordinary.

Dr. Michael Thompson is THE BEST! I have been a patient at Cedar Rd since it was first opened & now even travel From Suffolk VA to get there. I have ALWAYS been treated wonderful & I have a complicated medical history. I appreciate Patient First at Cedar Road as well as my one only visit at Taylor Rd. To See Dr. Thompson.

I ALWAYS have a great experience at Patient First on Cedar Road. They have been my PCP for years and so I have had multiple visits to draw from. I love that you can see the doctors schedule online, as I try to see Dr. Thompson, but when I have a more time sensitive matter and he is not there, I have never been unsatisfied.

The staff here is wonderful, very pleasant to work with and Dr. Ramos is fantastic. I had visited two different doctors before seeing Dr. Ramos, he was able to accurately and quickly resolve my issue with one visit. Everyone in this office is very professional and thorough. I would recommend this Patient First hands down.

I have worked in healthcare for 30 years and am so impressed with the delivery of service they provided. A model system in my opinion that Ill use again vs waiting weeks for a primary care appointment. Experience was timely & all staff from reception to physician very skilled & professional.

Registering was quick, staff very polite and attentive, and the doctor took his time with me. I would revisit this facility and recommend it to my friends and family. I was in and out within an hour. Impressive facility, and I was able to get my prescription filled. One stop shop. Love it.

I have been using this Patient First for 9 years and have always had professional, courteous care for myself and my family. The wait time to be seen has varied based on the number of people needing care, but has never been excessively long.

Walked in with BP 180/110 they told me to wait for Dr-so I waited for an hour-so quiet, I got to hear all the nurses chat about their day, their lives, their work schedule....seriously? I wont be back!

I had surgery for my ankle here and the staff treated me very very well. My doctor even kept me entertained. After the procedure, my doctor even helped me into my car. I definitely loved it here.

I went on a Sunday morning 8am, was able to get in and out in about an hour and half for a sore throat. Make sure you have your insurance card otherwise they will charge you for your visit.
