This place is terrible. They do not care about your well being at all. They also do not have any knowledge or whatsoever to treat you. You have to find out what is wrong with you by seeing specialists. They cannot even keep track of the records sent to them- always mysteriously things gets lost. The records that make to the system never read by the doctors. You have to specifically ask if a test result was okay. Since they are too lazy to click the computer and read the copy of the result sent to them from the specialists office, you always have to get the copy of it, read it, study it so that they would not fool you. Because they will always say the result is fine even if it is not. You have to point it out so that they will really read it. You have to orchestrate your own care and be on top of things which is very tiring. If a specialist asked to follow a certain treatment with them, you are in trouble. It is impossible to communicate or convince them that the specialist asked for a particular treatment. They refuse to take the specialists advise, and chose to redo the tests -just to convince themselves u r not sick at all w/o looking at the underlying issues or whole picture-. They are just there to prevent you getting better or receiving required treatment and making money doing so, that is all. Nurses are very vain, too good to help you. Everyone over there treats you like you are an idiot, not worth their time or attention/help or treatment. Doctors do not read the medical histories even if you are seeing them for a few years, they may not have any clue about your conditions. If you get disappointed due to unresolved issues you have been seeing them for, they claim that you are a complicated case and need to visit them more often -different appointments for different symptoms. Multiple times I was told by either a doctor or a nurse, they never heard of a certain disease or treated such a disease and they have no clue. They do not have valet parking or wheel chairs for you to use if needed. They also charge extra if you do not pay on the spot. If you complain about anything -since it is badly affecting your health-, they "remind" you that you are free to go somewhere else. Run as far away as possible from there. They should be out of business.

This place has turned into a money generator versus medical care. After many years of using them as my primary care, I much say that it is time to find another place. Their urgent care is useless and just a way of funding the inexperienced doctors. They only have a few doctors that are worth seeing under regular appointments and it takes nearly a month to get in to see them. They take you back from the waiting room into a patient room and you wait for a very long time for anyone to come in. The nurse ask more than enough questions, but when the doctor comes in they act as if everything that you just went through with the nurse wasnt even reviewed. The doctor spent more time conversing with another doctor than they spent with me. Then they have the audacity to send me notes stating things that I NEVER stated - I guess they arent very attentive either. They spent less that 5 minutes with me and actually had to nerve to say that they had an "extensive" discussion with me. Perhaps, extensive to them means more than a few minutes. When I sent a message asking for my record to reflect the correct statements, I received no response! Really, get a clue - you are working in a medical facility not in a grocery store or a customer service center. Perhaps, they should be reported to insurance as a fraudulent service because they are billing for services that arent even rendered. You have definitely lost me as a patient, as Ill find someplace that that takes the time to know their patients and that are knowledgeable and considerate.

I have had the worst experience ever with this practice! The second time I saw the Dr for the same problem he did not review the chart before coming in the room. He had no idea I had an MRI (I had previously given him a copy of the disc) or why he was in the room. He had to leave the room to go review everything. I was given a prescription for medicine and when I got to the pharmacy it was someone elses Xanax prescription (that was not even the medication I should have been prescribed). The Dr did not even look at what he was handing me. Later I called in for a prescription refill and after 3 days I had to call back to see if anyone got the message. The nurse said my file was in a pile to call back and she would get back to me. I never got a call back. After 2 months I decided to send the refill request electronically to the NP I had seen. I was told the medication was not compatible with breastfeeding and an appointment was needed for any new medications. The medication was not new, had already been prescribed, and I had been told it was safe for breastfeeding women. Of course I still have not heard back.I dont believe anyone in this practice has access to or bothers to read any past notes. I understand these practices are very busy but so am I. I dont appreciate how much of my time and energy has been wasted trying to communicate with these people.

The first time I went to Farifax Family Practice I saw Dr. Laxton and was very pleased with her. However, that was to be the only time I ever saw her because she left the practice right after I saw her. Why they would set up a new patient with a departing doctor is beyond me. I got the MRI and it was like pulling teeth to get the results. I got refills on my medications from Dr. Laxton, but then was told I was required to make an appointment with another doctor and see them before I could get additional refills on the meds I had been on for 5 years. So I did. I also had neck Xrays done at the time and the new doctor (McCormick) told me she would give me a prescription for birth control to regulate my hormones. I also had neck X0rays. Ive been trying to get the results out of them for 3 weeks and all they will tell me is that McCormick wont be back until next year. I am transferring to a completely different practice. I also had problems getting the receptionist to get the nurse for me when I had returned from X-rays. When the nurse happened to come into the waiting room she was surprised the receptionist hadnt let her know I was here (when I had requested they do so!) and immediately took care of me. I am also STILL trying to get them to tell me my blood test results. The incompetence is infuriating!

Bottom line: Horrible Doctors and Staff, long wait, un-knowledgeable, amateur, poor Technology, Dirty. Details: Dr. Var was very young and inexperienced. No real life experience and straight out of med school. One of those doctors who became a doctor to please her parents, not passionate about medicine, service, or patients. Her staff was even worse. The nurses they had acted like they are the doctors and think they know everything, and are not thorough. Very irritating personalities and seemed disgruntled. Got a tetnus shot and had a reaction to it with flu like symptoms. Called back the office, and they told me I probably caught something before I went to the hospital and then the flu symptoms kicked in when I visited their hospital. Looked all over WebMD and CDC and it says Flu symptoms are common after a vaccine shot, yet their staff denied it. The hospital IT systems are garbage. They want you to do everything online, but all the systems freeze or break. Tried to sign in online when I arrived and the machine froze. So ended up having to do it manually at the front desk. They dont seem to clean their place too well. You have a higher risk of getting sick than healing due to all the amateur staff being lazy and not wanting to clean. Going to find another hospital.
