I was scheduled for an appointment with Doctor Hassan on December 2, 2016 at 10:45 a.m. I was adivsed to be there 30 minutes early, which I was. When it was 11:00 a.m., I asked at the front desk how much longer it would be before I was going to be seen. I had made the appointment because I had exeperienced 8 days of severe stomach problems. I was told a little while longer. I spoke to three other patients in the waiting area to see when and who they were scheduled with. Two patients had appointments for 10:30 a.m. and one lady was scheduled at the same time as me. They were all scheduled with Doctor Hassan. I went back to the receptionist and told her I could probably not wait because I had to pick up my granddaughter from school at 12:00 p.m. The receptionist told me that I was next to go in so I agreed to wait longer. I did not understand this because two of the patients in the waiting room had appointments prior to mine. At about 11:30 a.m., a staff member came out and called the next appointment to the back. Needless to say, this was not me. I went back to the receptionist to let her know I could not wait any longer. I asked to re-sc hedule. She said I had to call in to do this. When I got through on the phone a couple of hours later, I was told that Doctor Hassan had to look at my "report" to see why I left and she would then decide if I could even re-schedule another appointment with her. This could not be done on that date. I called again on Monday, December 5, 2016 and asked to be scheduled with one of the other doctors in that office. I was told I could not "switch" doctors. I informed the office that I was not switching because I had never seen doctor Hassan. I again asked if I could at least schedule with Doctor Hassan and was told that she had still not gone through the "report". I was upset and asked the office to get a copy of my file ready for pick-up. I was told that the records person could not be reached at this time. I left my number and requested a return phone call, which I did not get. On December 7, 2016, I received a letter from Doctor Hassan, informing me that they will no longer be able to provide medic al care to me. My husband and I had both been patients at this office for years prior to this incident. The Doctor I used to see there had since retired and my husband is a patient of Doctor Eisner.

Getting initial appointment was fine. Fairly long wait for first visit. Was told I should have an endoscopy. The process wasnt the easiest since this place is out of the way for me, but I managed. Doctor told my wife the results, but not me directly and I never saw or spoke to him again. Never got a detailed report of my results only what I already knew. Never got a follow up visit because apparently its not important for a GI doctor to follow up on your patients stomach condition. I tried again and was told he would review my case and got told I would be seen for another endoscopy, but no other exam. They apparently like the money that comes from that, but dont really like their patients much. The staff seemed bothered that I tried to get a follow up and that I had to find proper dates for the endoscopy because you need someone to take you home and you cant go home in a cab. When I told them I couldnt they sounded perfectly happy that I couldnt have the procedure. Dr. Hassan seemed nice enough, but he was a rather fast smooth talker without saying much. He may be knowledgeable, but Ill never know cause he never saw me again nor spoke to me after the first procedure. A doctor who doesnt follow up with patients is ultimately useless to the patient. Would definitely not recommend this place unless your insurance forces you to go here.

Totally agreed with other reviews, I also had terrible experience when getting an appointment. The office staff was annoyed all the time. I would say Dr. Hassans knowledge is exceptional but the problem is that I have never gotten exact exam results through the doctor, until I request copy of my medical history by paying extra money. The insurance process was even more horrible. PLEASE make sure if the insurance code was inputted correctly and insurance would cover the endoscopy BEFORE you got one. Even though my insurance is supposed to cover it, billing office in Hampton Gastroenterology inputted wrong code, and then they overcharged me. After checking insurance coverage myself and contacted insurance company 3-4 times they admitted their mistakes. Then I got another (separate) bill last week for anesthesia, which is not correctly coded too. I need to go through all the processes again - contacting billing office, insurance company, etc.

So it turns out that 60-80 percent of patients of these GI doctors have parasites. I had stomach issues for two years. Mucus in my stool, pain everyday, no appetite, and anything i took from bentyl to nexium did nothing for me. I had parasites and Dr. Corbitt failed to realized that this whole time and the others doctor too. All they had to do was test my stool for parasites NOT JUST BLOOD!!!... I recommend Para Gon by Renewlife. They save my life within 2 weeks. I am now working again and a happy person. I also take their Ultimate Flora Critical Colon 80 billion pills. I feel great and these people that answered the phone when i called renew life did not have to go to medical school to know i had parasites when i told them my symptoms. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

I called in for a renewal on my prescription for UC. Im very disappointed to have been told on 6/27/17 by the receptionist that Dr. Hassans words were until I pay my balance of $120 I would not be issued a new prescription despite the agonizing pain Im in each day (and I asked her to explained my discomfort to him). When I inquired if the money was more important than my health, her response was yes according to Dr Hassans words. VERY DISAPPOINTED. I will continue to pay off my balance and in the meantime find another doctor.

The staff and Dr. Eisner were great! The anesthesiologist, on the other hand, was one of the rudest people I have ever met. He literally yelled at me and was very forceful with me. His name was Dr. Botang. I never want to see him again. Dr Eisner and his nurses get 5 stars, Dr. Botang does not deserve even one. This is why I am going with 3.

Dr Hassan is a caring compassionate proactive Dr. Over the years I have been seeing Dr Hassan not once have I been rushed or pressured or mistreated. His staff is courteous and knowledgable as well as professional. I now live across the water but still keep dr Hassan as my primary Gastroenterologist because I trust his care.

Waited for over two hours past my consultation appointment. Nothing is worth that wait, but Dr. Hassan is very friendly, very informative, and likes to get to know his patients. This is probably partially why the wait can be so long. My procedure was exactly on time and went perfectly well, and I learned a lot.
