Avoid this place. My first experience with them was well over 8 years ago, before they were at their new location. I rarely visited them, so it wasnt a big deal, but when my daughter was born in 2004, I quickly realized how awful this place is. You NEVER are seen on time. You always end up in the waiting room for easily 30 min past your appt time, then you get stuck in the exam room for well over another 30 min. You end up spending 2+hours there for a 5 min dr visit. I have on several visits, had to step outside of the exam room and ask if we had been forgotten. The worst experience came when my daughter was a toddler and receiving regularly scheduled shots. It was me, and 2 nurses in the room. My job was to have her sit in my lap and keep her arms out of the way. One nurse was to keep her leg still, while the other nurse administered the shots. When the nurse poked her with the needle, my daughters leg shot up, causing the needle to bend at a 90 degree angle in her thigh, then pull out and rip across her thigh, causing quite the cut. The nurses had th nerve to look at ME like it it was MY fault. That was pretty much the last straw. I kept trying to go back to them, but after always waiting for over an hour past my appt time, never being able to see the same doctor, and only seeing residents, I decided it was time to cut my losses and take my daughter elsewhere. I am not having a hard time getting her records changed to her new pediatricians office. I signed the required waiver, but they send the request to an outside company, who then processes the request, and scans the medical record. After 3 weeks of hearing nothing, I finally call back, get told that they "faxed the request" and given a number to the outside company. After calling them it was determined that 1.) they never received the fax request and 2.) my daughter still has a paper chart (not electronic) and that should have been sent over with the fax request. This office is a nightmare.

I am getting more increasingly dissatisfied with this practice. I moved from out of town and originally chose a different practice for my obgyn care, but after a consultation meeting before choosing this practice I was told they would be willing to see me in my next pregnancy sooner than most practices because of my history of 2 miscarriages. That ended up being a lie, and i waited the extra time. I really like the doctor though so I tried to tough it out.. now I am dealing with an additional miscarriage which has resulted in me being passed off to another practice to perform a d & c, but and hour before the scheduled procedure that office rescheduled my appointment. So I called St. Francis back to see if there was any other doctors they could try to schedule it with, since Id already called off work and was prepared for the procedure today after 2 hrs and no phone call back I called back and they said sorry there isnt anything we can do; why did I have to call them???? Additional issues Ive had one of the residents saw my 9 year old for an ear infection and they gave her the wrong dosage for the script; fortunately, the pharmacist caught it. I always plan to be there at least an hour or more waiting to get called back. Finally, their front office staff has left nothing to be desired they are generally short and not pleasant one example is: I had to pick up a script only and waited a half hour to even be called up to counter to pick it up. Some of the doctors here are fantastic, but the customer service is terrible. I dont feel like a person and my feelings certainly arent considered in their decisions. It is unfortunate but it appears I will be uprooting my family from this practice in search of another once again.

My family has been under the care of multiple practices due to several moves. This one has by far been the worst weve ever encountered. The fact that there are soo many doctors in the practice and so few that are actual attendings makes it very difficult to ever see the same doctor twice. Most of the time you have to consult with the resident and then repeat the "visit" so to speak with the attending. Many of the doctors have language challenges. Ive called regarding my infant for after hours care and have not received a call-back--40 minutes or more would pass and I would call and once again, no call-back. When it comes to diagnosing--most of the time I have been sent home saying that there isnt anything they can prescribe--and no home-remedy or therapy they can recommend either. This practice is certainly no place for small children--the wait is long and then nurses have in the past not been familiar with how to use the infant scale which is portable from room to room. Once again, it looks like well be shopping for a different practice--that means three childrens records to transfer as well and mine and my husbands. Such a disappointment.

I do not recommend this office. Ive been there three times. The first two times, medical students practiced on me, which made the appointments longer, slower, and more frustrating. The third time, I had made an appointment for an annual physical, so they told me to fast before since they would take blood work. When I arrived, the office staff kept insisting that I was a new patient, so I needed a new patient appointment instead of a physical. I had to get angry, which I really didnt want to do, but they eventually let me have the physical instead of the new patient visit. BUT the physical was a joke. The doctor basically just asked me my history and looked in my eyes, ears, and mouth. I insisted on a cholesterol check, but thats all they did. What a waste of time. Then they never sent me my cholesterol test results. I had to wait on the phone for 20 minutes to get the results, and they wouldnt give me the number over the phone.

I switched my Primary Care Manager from Patient First to this practice thinking a consistent doctor at a real practice would be better. What a joke! First routine visit that would have taken me 15 minutes at Patient First took 2 hours. Doctor couldnt get my daily prescription filled correctly and I ran out before they figured out how to process my refill. I was told Id be given a referral that never came. Next time I tried to go, I came down with a sudden flu-like illness. I called that morning and they could not see me that day. Maybe Im spoiled by being able to walk into Patient First whenever I please, but I feel that when youre ill, your doctor should be able to see you same day. I couldnt even get a same day referral to Patient First because the referral person was out that day. Back to Patient First I go!

This used to be a good practice but as of late the worse you can go to. In just the past couple months I have been seen there only to have to go to the ER within 24 hours of a visit and hear an ER doctor say what the hell were they thinking. Messages dont get returned with any sense of urgency and often left completely unreturned. Recently I was called saying I had an abnormal ct scan result and needed to see a specialist. I had to borrow $75 from a friend in order to go. When I went to the specialist today I was asked why they sent me there because my scan was not abnormal. We read the report together from the radiologist. Absolutely nothing warranted the visit to the specialist and unnecessary fear, anxiety, and expense was placed on me by these doctors at this practice.
