Do not go here>>>AVOID. The only reason they are getting one star is that there is a no star option. Rude, unprofessional, and unknowledgeable. My son was brought there at 8 AM. We arrived at the time the clinic was supposed to open and they waited in the parking lot for 15 minutes before the staff arrived to open the door. After filling out all of the paperwork we waited for roughly 30 minutes. When asking the attendant when we would be seen as other patients were called back we were told they need a copy of the insurance card. (We had put the policy info on the paperwork.- and his twin brother was seen a week earlier with the same condition Strept throat - and was seen with just the policy info.) We did not have a copy of our card, so we asked them to verify on Blue E. Well the girl in the back verified that the policy was active and what the copayment was and told "Shanta", the front desk attendant and showed them that there was coverage. "Shanta". So we thought we would be seen, however Shonta demanded to see the card and said, "it is FastMeds policy that the card has to be scanned - front and back" they demanded that they need the insurance card. Finally after two and a half hours being there and us having to pay for the entire visit out of pocket we were seen. They did not file our insurance as we would not have been seen. We asked to speak with the office manager or practice admin, however we were told for 2 hours non stop that she is on her way. Multiple times throughout this process Shonta was extremely rude and unprofessional- she should not be in patient service After we left I called back to speak with the office manager after I faxed a copy of the card, and after several holds and a 15 minute session where I was spoken down to several times I was told they would "investigate the charge" but couldnt refund the difference between what we paid cash for the visit and what we actually paid. After all of that the office manager conveniently hung up on me.

I took my 12 year old to Fast Med in Rocky Mount, NC and I have to say it was the absolute best service I have ever received at an Urgent Care. She got into some poison ivy during the week and was progressively getting worse so I took her in Sunday with the hopes of them giving her a steroid shot. Needless to say, we walked in as a first time patient and completed some paperwork. One of the questions asked if there were any siblings to the patient being seen and if they had any ailments. It just so happened that I have a younger daughter that was diagnosed with JIA a couple years earlier. Dr. S Daniel is who we ended up seeing and when reading through the paperwork he said "You have another child with JIA?" My response of course was "yes" and asked if he could meet her as he has only been able to read about stories such as hers. After treating the poison ivy, I came home to tell my youngest about our visit and how Dr. Daniel wanted to meet her. She was just as excited to meet him so back to Fast Med we go. When we arrived back Dr. Daniel took a brief moment to meet her and told her what a pleasure it was to meet her and that he has only been able to read about stories such as hers. He also told her how proud he was of her that she undergoes so much treatment in order to find a cure so no more boys or girls experience her pain. Dr. Daniel took a moment out of his day to change the vision of a 7 year old with JIA. He not only showed professionalism, he was also compassionate, caring and sympathic for a patient that wasnt even his. In regards to the actual visit for the poison ivy, we were in and out of the office (completing paperwork, vital signs, diagnosis, medicine) within 45 minutes. Thanks again! So glad to see this business come to Rocky Mount!

My experience was horrible. First, I had to pay $100 co-pay to see a PA for less than 5 minutes. Second, this place is called fast, but there is nothing fast about it. I spent over an hour waiting to be seen. At checkout, I was told that my prescription would immediately be sent to the pharmacy. I was asked by two different people where to send my prescription. I told both of the women I talked to that I used CVS. I drive 20 minutes to CVS, and I am told by the pharmacist at CVS that she has not received a prescription. I called the office, and I was told that they had sent it to the wrong pharmacy. I requested that they send it to the correct pharmacy. I was assured that they would. I waited for another 20 minutes, and the pharmacist at CVS again says that she has not received my prescription. The pharmacist was nice enough to call the office, but she received an automated message. So to sum it up, $100 of my money, my time, and my gas were all wasted, and I did not receive any medicinal assistance which was the whole reason I went to the office.

Do not go here. I printed a "zip pass" arrived around 2:15pm and was told that there were 2 in front of me with a zip pass. In a room of 8 waiting. I waited, waited, one went back, two, then three. I walked up and asked why others were going back when I had a zip pass. I was told they could be there for other procedures. Every single person went back before me. When I finally went back, I asked the tech about the zip pass. She frankly told me that it does nothing and wished theyd stop them. They strictly go by the time of arrival. So the lady at the desk straight up lied.At this point it was 10 min till 6:00pm and I had to leave to pick up my children from daycare. I expressed this and asked how much longer it would be and she said "oh, there are still 3 others waiting in rooms to see the doctor." I left at this point, 4 hours of waiting for nothing! Save your printer ink, zip pass is worthless.
