I think that wait times probably depend on time of day. Delays are more likely later in the day when minor problems encountered associated with earlier appointments have added up. For any medical appointment, I always ask for earliest appointment available. Today, I went to Sentara AIC Leigh for an MRI scheduled at 7:00 AM. Although I had been asked to arrive earlier, I was held up in traffic and did not arrive until arrived at 6:58 AM. I completed intake paperwork by 7:10 and was called by the tech by 7:15. The MRI was completed and I was dressed and out the door by 7:45 AM. Couldnt have asked for prompter, more courteous, or more efficient service.

Why 2 stars? Cost. Period. My mothers follow-up mris after her brain surgery are costing $6,000. I could not find any source on the web that justifies this cost. The highest estimates for the most expensive areas in the U.S. are about 5,000.
