The care here was pretty standard, but didnt feel worth the cost. I was in the market for a new vet since my old vet rarely can do same day appointments. I was excited that they were able to get me in same day to see both my dogs for what I already knew was going to be something along the lines of an upper respiratory infection. I went in early with all my paperwork from their past vaccinations but when the vet came in they had still completely missed one of his vaccines despite mentioning it 2 separate times. I also had to repeat that one of the dogs was a recent rescue so I only had records from what the shelter had done to provide for history. I spoke with the vet for roughly 10 minutes and hung out in the exam room while the vet did the paperwork for about an hour with the dogs to keep them from spreading the kennel cough it was decided they had. It was a pretty standard visit until I got the bill. The new patient visit fee was outrageous, especially since both dogs were seen at the same time, for the same thing. And included was a prescription for probiotics for both dogs on the off chance the antibiotics upset their stomachs. I would have rather waited to see if there were any issues with the meds and done a quick stop in had they needed them. It felt like an added fleecing just to get my dogs better. Of the entire visit, the cost stands out the most and I likely wont be going back.

I am absolutely in love with this veterinary facility. Its physically beautiful and so clean at first sight. When I called to ask about making my appointment I felt welcomed immediately by such a happy voice on the other end. After having been ignored by my other vets staff and being left feeling like just another client I was welcomed into the Boulevard family immediately. They actually asked questions about my baby and cared that I came in when it was best for my schedule. Dr. Pozniak was wonderful. She listened to me about my baby and then told me what she could do holistically and conventionally to treat her letting me make an educated decision about my pets care. My dog was so unusually calm and happy in this office and Dr. Pozniaks hands. My baby is fine now. Dr. Pozniak was the third vet Id seen for her problems but with herbs, a change in diet and yes, actually antibiotics, shes happy and healthy. I will not hesitate to go to Boulevard Vet again. Ive stopped by twice since then just to say "Hi" and they always make me feel welcomed even if its just me.

I switched to Boulevard and Dr. Pozniak many years ago when I realized my animals were really just numbers at the other clinic we went to. From the first day to this day, Ive never felt anything but delighted at the care and attention my animals receive there. Since I only adopt older, "unadoptable" dogs from rescues, they come with serious issues that require careful attention and correction. From developing a surgery to care for a very odd, but life-threatening, problem with one of my two rescues, to end of life care for my old man dog and cat, Ive gotten nothing but the best for my animals there. By carefully adding in holistic approaches to standard and state-of-the-art traditional medicine, my pets get the best outcome with the least discomfort and the speediest return to normal. I simply cant say enough great things about the care there. Youll never feel like a number, never feel like your pet is just someone else to get out the door, never worry about whether or not youre getting the best possible care. If quality in care matters, then Blvd is the place for you.

I dont know how this lady stays in business. She is terrible. The first time we went, we saw Dr. Foley. He was very knowledgeable and had a way with my dog, who is a rescue and has some anxiety issues. The second time, we saw Dr. Pozniak, who is the owner of the clinic apparently. She was awful from the start. She first made a snarky comment about how hyper my dog is (again, shes a rescue and was mistreated before), and made some very negative comments about pitbulls. I dont know how you can practice veterinary science and hate certain breeds. Then there was a billing error, and we were overcharged for the visit by about $100. And even after some of it was taken off, we paid way more for the services than we would have elsewhere. Theres NOTHING special about the service she provided, unless you like your incompetent vet care with a side of snark. Worst vet in Hampton Roads.

We love Boulevard Vet and Dr. Pozniak! We take our nearly 12-year old lab with hip arthritis there for therapies including acupuncture, chiropractic, cold laser, and the most fun to watch- underwater treadmill exercise. We credit "Dr. Poz" with keeping our beloved pup mobile and agile, and prescribing what ever is needed to keep the aches and pains away. Both for regular appointments and with a few emergencies, the staff and both Doctors have been amazing, prompt, knowledgeable, reassuring . . . we have no hesitation at all referring others to their care. Even though we must drive past a dozen other vets on the way to Boulevard Vet, were glad make the extra effort and time to see Dr. Poz. Its fun to see their personal animals with them at work, too- Handsome, Miller, etc. etc.

I have been bringing my Great Dane here for approximately 8 months. 3 months ago I was trying to make a very difficult decision on whether or not to let her cross the rainbow bridge because she was barely mobile and miserable. She didnt play. She didnt enjoy life. I brought her in and Dr. Pozniak started skeletal adjustments and Chinese herbal therapy. Within two weeks she had her light back. By the end of the month she was more balanced and stable and (most important!) playful. Now three months in she is almost back to her normal, gangly, silly self. Without Dr. P I would have lost my big baby. With her, I get to enjoy her for much more time to come! I couldnt be more appreciative for what she has done for me, and my family.

This is our secondary vet when Im not able to make the 3 hour trip back to his primary vet that has treated him since he was a puppy. Needless to say, I was very worried about seeing a new vet and researched a lot of the local vets before settling on this one. My dog and I are very pleased with the treatment and service weve received here. They are prompt and its easy to get a same day appointment when needed. The vet is fantastic and Im a big fan of her holistic approach to treatments. Im very pleased and I dont plan on taking my dog anywhere else.

This is my fiancee and Is first puppy, her first puppy period, so its fair to say we had a lot of questions. The entire staff was both patient and informative. Dr. Pozniak was AMAZING! She broke down everything from nutrition to how important it is to play with your puppies paws and ears, and it is very apparent she is passionate about her career. Boulevard was cheaper than the vets I have experienced previously. (but to be fair, that was also in a different area of the country) I cant see myself taking my puppy to any other Veterinarian.
