There is a reason that this clinic has almost 5 stars! Dr. Bob and his staff are amazing!! They are very friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. I drive all the way from Gig Harbor just to go to this clinic because I know I will get honesty and great care for my pets. Not just that but a good laugh too and a smile on my face. I really feel that Dr. Bob has gone above and beyond for my cat. I was afraid I would have to surrender him to the humane society so he could get the care he needed because I couldnt afford the surgery. But with the help of the Humane Societys community care act and Dr. Bob working with me I didnt need to give up my baby. He is really compassionate towards people and their companions and you can tell this is not just a job for him its his passion. I am blown away by the kindness I have received from these guys and I will always be coming back and referring anyone to this clinic. Seriously if you want a good honest vet then you should go here.

I loved it here, I was impressed before I walked in the door! They have separate cat/ dog entrances! Once inside, I was instantly taken back to a room with my dog, even though we were 20mins early for our appointment . All of the ladies HAD to come say hello to my boy! Dr. Bob was amazing! He was very honest and straight forward about everything. He gave us different options and also a good laugh. Even set up a date for a check up call with HIM, not like how most where the people at the front desk call you! The place has an older feel to it, which I honestly love! Sends me back to my childhood spending time in my grandpas vet office. :) so much more comfortable that all these new "hospital" style offices Ive been to lately. Officially found our new vet for all my pets! :)

My dog had an ear infection, and our funds were not there. We called the vet and they told us to come in after we explained our situation. I have to tell you THEY TOOK CARE OF MY DOG!!!!!! They were going to let us pay on the invoice. We will take care of that this week, but I cant tell you how wonderful it was for the front end staff and Dr. Bob to treat us so well. We are so grateful to them for helping our Jasmine out. If they are willing to do this for us, my dog has a new Vet. Thank you Dr. Bob and Sharon and the whole staff for what you did for us. God bless you for treating our dog and easing her pain. I would highly recommend Lakewood Veterinary Hospital if you are looking for a great experience and a caring staff.

The Dr. saved my little Daisy girls life! She was going in for a teeth cleaning/extraction and the Dr. thought her tummy was a little over large...thinking she might be pregnant (and her being a 5lb Chihuahua) he decided on an ultrasound...luckily she was not pregnant/unluckily she had a uterus problem..(3 times its normal size) that would have killed her within a month...I have used this hospital and Dr. for over 10 years...i WILL NOT trust my animals, my family to anyone else! My family has been taking our critters to Dr. Charles and Dr. Bob for three generations. I drive from the Proctor neighborhood to see them. Not only are their prices very fair, they have a level of customer service and sensitivity that elevates them to be our only choice. Yes, we have been to other vets over the years, if there was an emergency or if our pets needed specialist services, but weve always returned to LVH and intend to do so indefinitely.

The desk lady is rude. Ive never had to take my pets to a vet so I was pretty confused. I called in hopes of some sympathy and I got none. Id rather have you not pick up then put me on hold and hang up. My dogs life shouldnt be put on hold or have to be hung up on. I thought that was rude. Never calling here again

So glad they are close to the dog park. Staff was friendly and caring, my dog who is very suspicious and at that point was not feeling well didnt get scared as he would usually by people. Guess he loved the way everyone stayed calm and I did too!

Dr. Bob and his staff are amazing. They met us there after hours when our beloved dog was very ill and about to pass away. They were loving and compassionate. Dr. Bob is very open and honest and does not push unnecessary tests and procedures.

This ia a Father / Son team. They took care of my dog when I was little and 45 years later they are still taking care of my pets. They love animials and always treat our pets as if they are thier own.

Very good vet. Educates you on vaccines so the optional ones you can make an educated choice. (Rabies is required by law for dogs, cats & ferrets. & I think Parvo is required here.)
