First off, my experience with All Creatures happened 2 summers ago, but I wanted to give myself a substantial amount of time to cool down, let my heart heal and post a fair and true review based on my personal experience. 2 years ago my 12-year-old yellow lab fell ill from a large tumor that started to form on his leg. We did the best we could, but eventually there was no turning back. He was in so much pain.. :Poor buddy. :( Eventually he started looking for places to hide, his breathing became labored and he completely lost mobility in his back legs. He couldnt walk or get up at all. That day we finally knew that keeping him around any longer would be selfish and we didnt want to see him hurt from the cancer anymore. Our regular vet was unavailable and we wanted to have him euthanatized ASAP to avoid prolonging his suffering, so we were referred to All Creatures. Since he couldnt walk we had to carry him in the exam room and lay him down. I was MORE than a little irritated that the tech backed into him, almost stepped on him and hit him in the head with the back of her foot as he lay helplessly flat in the exam room floor. THEN when the vet entered the room he swung the door open on his head! We made it abundantly clear what our mission was: To have him euthanatized. It was already a heartbreaking experience as it was, but the vet had to drag it out. He kept questioning the veracity of his illness, pressing us into doing costly tests and procedures. Eventually I had to become stern so he FINALLY got the point after us waiting with our dying dog in agony for over a half hour! I was also a little irritated that, unlike MOST vets, they dont have a box for your to carry your deceased animal in. As much as they charge for euthanasia, not having a box is absurd! FINALLY it was time to load him in the car so he could go to Rainbow Bridge. I sat in my car in tears watching my dog be walked out in agony and they REFUSED to carry him. They FORCED him to walk out on his own with a sling on his back legs even though he was CLEARLY in agony dragging his back legs behind him. ! I sat there and watched as they were walking him and out of nowhere blood just BLEW out of my dogs rectum and splashed onto the vet clinic wall! I was devastated!! It was THEN and ONLY after the damage was done that they vet took accountability and apologized. After that they loaded him in my car and he quickly drifted to heaven. Our regular vet takes a paw impression of deceased pets and turns it into the plaster keepsake to hang on your wall and remind you of your lost lifelong friend. Not this place. They took his paw and smudged it with ink on a piece of paper. Very tacky! Needless to say, this was a horrible experience made worse by the lack of compassion and how things played out. Im thankful that they took my dogs suffering away, but still very disappointed in how they went about it.

Our dog died. This was supposed to be our vet. We were on vacation when our dog got sick. I called them at 5pm to say my dog sitter needed to come in immediately, it was an emergency. They told me that they were closing in half an hour and couldnt see her. I found VCA Pacific Hospital to see her but she was dead by the time she arrived. It was almost a 30 minute drive away. All Creatures Animal Hospital was a 4 minute drive. They are despicable. Even before this happened, we planned on switching vets. We brought our 2 dogs in for a "well" visit and was told to prepare for the worst, that our male dog was deathly ill. Turns out he was constipated. Thankfully we had decided not to do all the expensive procedures theyd recommend and made us feel like we were horrible people for not doing what we could to "save" him. Also, their annual shots came due but they wouldnt do them unless we paid for a full exam due to their old age. Theyre 9 year old labs. And healthy. Yes, our female dog just died but it was due to something she ate. Unless you love throwing your money away and want heartless, incompetent care, go anywhere else.

My dog was a regular patient from a puppy, at three I decided to have her spayed. Spent lots of money for alot of heart ache. She was given way too much post op morphine (I advised the vet she was extremly sensitive to any meds). Took her to the 24hr vet 12hrs after the dose, she was barley reponsive, couldnt hold her own head up. The next day, I noticed a serious rash in the area they had shaved pre surgery, took her to yet another vet and she had a staph infection on the shave, the vet said it was from a dirty razor. All Creatures ignored the infection and did not refund any of my vet fees that came from their mistakes. Surgery glue would not keep the incision closed had to take her back to get stapled, they said they wouldnt charge me for that. Oh, how nice, isnt closing the wound part of the whole thing? I didnt pick the option of a staph infection and almost killing my angel with morphine either, but thats what I got.

Dr. Sattler cured our "Best Friend" of Perianal Fistula a few years back which we are forever grateful as she was just a tennie bopper at the time with many good years of loyalty and love we still needed to share. Thank You so much for helping us through this horrible time. If anyone has ever gone through this disease with their dog they know the pain and suffering the dog goes through. I give them an average rating as cost are not compatiable with other local vets that are just as good ... when need a worm med you know is the problem they make you jump through hoops and it is so much more costly than other vets. My thoughts are if you know your animal and deal with something as simple as worms it should not cost you an arm and a leg, this is why people seek other means to save some monies but not skimp on the ones they love. Come on guys, give us a break for loving our animals, dont rape us.

Our Standard Poodle Bear kept getting sicker and sicker and Dr. Green and the whole staff FAR EXCEEDED what any vet has ever done (and weve had a lot of pets and vets). Dr. Green kept working at it with the attitude that Bear was like her own and they were all so considerate of our budget and our concerns. Dr. Green gave us so many options and educated us on what and why certain things might work so that we could make a good choice. We finally went with a hunch that Dr. Green had that Bear might have a fungal infection and lo and behold, the medicine brought him back from the brink of death. I cannot say enough good about Dr. Green and staff. They were all so informative and positive in their attitudes. It felt like they loved Bear (and our cat Rudy) as much as we do. We have since moved to Colorado and I miss All Creatures Vet. They are outstanding and worthy of much praise.
