I went to The Optik, formerly known as Norrgards Optik when it was run by Eric and Lisa Norrgard with Dr. Michael Amos. I tried it out one time based on a family members recommendation and I can tell you with absolute certainty that it was by FAR the most unprofessional outfit I have ever been to. The appointment took less than 30 minutes. The "examination" consisted of "Dr." Michael Amos taking my glasses, going to the backroom pretending to "work" and giving me the same prescription. No medical questions, no tests. When I called them out on it, Lisa Norrgard basically said, "I dont want you to think we didnt just give you the same prescription...." She got very defensive and I am sure it was not the first time someone mentioned it to her. Eric Norrgard looked completely disorganized and was no more than a glorified gofer i.e. Lisas peon (I guess she wears the pants in the relationship). Eric and Lisa sold the place out to someone else after people started figuring out these guys are straight up crooks. "Dr." Michael Amos moved his schemes to Redmond Optometric Clinc if you are curious. Stay away from this place.

The most important things that I value in a place of business is their responsiveness and customer service as soon as I walk through the door. Dr. Nguyen and his team at The Optik had both that and more. Their service exceeded my expectations. Their high tech technology was both impressive and a little intimidating, however, the staff took the time to explain the purposes. Dr. Nguyen was informative and broke down the information in a matter that I understood, which I appreciate. He really cared about my eye health and created a regime that was manageable to my own lifestyle. The Optik also has a great selection of stylish glasses and the turnaround time for my glasses met my expectation (one week). All in all, I have to say that from the beginning to end, everything was very professional, friendly, efficient and buttoned up. The friendly staff is what I appreciated the most! Ive already recommended two of my friends to Dr. Nguyen!

I was a former patient of Dr. Steve Nguyen and decided to go to The Optik for this years eye exam. I also decided to purchase frames as well. My doctor during my visit was Dr. Josie Yang. She is very nice and knowledgeable. The whole staff was welcoming and very thorough and explained each step along the way. You do not feel rushed at all. They have a large selection of frames at the office and they take their time and help you decide which one is best suited for your profile. After I received my glasses I noticed my vision was off and possibly something could be wrong with the lens. When I went in for a follow up, Dr Yang made sure to recheck my prescription and the lenses themselves. Their goal was to make sure to get it right and that was very appreciative. If you live or work in the area dont hesitate to stop by.

OK so nine months later after buying expensive glasses that should not brake,and they broke. I Have insurance on them and they brake where i need to bend them to get in the case. now they dont want to cover it and at first they tell be they would and seem real nice about it now i come back and they told me that they dont know how i did it and they would have to follow me around and see. so basically they blamed me for braking them and they wont replace one side that cost 100 for the piece also he told me the other side looks the same and i should replace it as well . give me a brake if one side is exactly the same on the other side and where it should bend to put in the carrier than its a sign that i do put it in the carrying case, !Warning people they may seem nice at first but they wont help you nice again.

I decided to visit The Optik because of the late hours they have (open until 7 pm) on certain days. For working professionals like myself, this works well as I dont need to leave work for my eye exam or be inconvenienced on the weekends. My experience was everything that I could have hoped for from a optometry visit. The staff was extremely courteous and friendly, and the doctor took time to communicate and explain things to me (unlike some other places where it seems like they just try to get you in and out and move on to the next appointment). The shop itself looked a bit dated, but I could see, and was told that there are some big investments being made to the overall look and feel of the shop. Sounds like the experience is just going to get better from here! Definitely would come back.

I love the new look of the office. I had taken my kids to this office last year for their eye exams. The office has been fully renovated and it looks great. Not to mention the welcoming and very helpful staff. They were very patient with my children and I was please with how all the staff interacted with them. I decided to also get my eyes checked and was so impressed with the technology they have. I was surprised to learn that I had inflamed optic nerves that could have threatened my site. Dr. Nguyen was amazing in explaining the details and I am so thankful for the diagnosis and the follow up. I definitely see how important the medical side of an eye exam is. Highly recommended!!!!

The previous owners were great, but Steve Nguyen and his staff have clearly stepped it up a notch under the new ownership. The biggest factors being that they brought in new sate of the art equipment, and therefore provide extra detailed care and service. I also like that they are open until 7PM, so I can make appointments after work. I heard there are some new renovations taking place that will really make the office shine. Overall, it seems that everything is getting better and better every time I step foot in the office. I will be coming back many times over in the coming years, and recommending all friends and family as well.

As a new patient, you never really know what to expect. The staff was very friendly and quickly had me prepped for the doctor. Dr. Tam saw me right away. She made me feel comfortable and relaxed the entire time. She answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns. She clearly explained her diagnosis and suggested "office glasses". Great call. They work great and I dont have to use a magnifying glass at my desk anymore. If you want an excellent experience, book an appointment with Dr. Tam! The follow up staff was great too, and my glasses were done early!

It was super easy to book an appointment with Dr. Nguyen for me and my Mom (who hasnt had an eye exam in years!). The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. They did a great job explaining the tools that they use and whats going on with my eyes. Also, the staff did a great job helping my Mom pick out a pair of new glasses. They were very patient while we pretty much tried on all the frames in the office. Also, added bonus, they have a great little kid play area that kept my 11th month old daughter very entertained.
