Dr. Frank and the Lakeside staff know what theyre doing, and they do so with common sense and an attempt to avoid extremes, all while acting kindly and professionally. They accommodate our numerous pets and always treat us well--almost never have we had to wait for our appointments (and weve been going there for over 10 years), and when we need to have questions answered, they are there for us in person or over the phone. The cost is reasonable, even including a multiple-pet discount, which makes a difference for those of us with numerous pets. We highly recommend and appreciate Lakeside!

I called to describe the symptoms that my dog was experiencing and the person I talked to was very polite and helpful and was very thorough in describing what I should do and what to look out for. I followed her advice and my dog was better in a few days. I know some vets in the area would have told me to bring her in immediately when it really wasnt necessary. This one seems like they are there to help, not turn a profit. I would highly recommend.

We had one of our first experiences with Lakeside putting our first cat to sleep. It was a terrifying experience that was made very calm and endearing by the staff and Dr. Poetzel. Since, we have continued to see Dr. Poetzel for his frank approach that has a very good bedside manner. The staff are always courteous and we look forward to taking our animals to a place that treats our pets just as we do, as if they were our children.

Im so thankful I live near this vet. Theyre the best around--helped my dog feel relaxed and were realistic about costs, plus didnt try to add in extra services, so I could just relax, too. Ive had some horrible experiences at other vets, so I worried so much before our recent appointment, but I was happily surprised, and so was my dog. Its so important just to know you have a reliable vet.

Lakeside has the kindest and most compassionate staff. They helped us with a tail amputation when my dog had a mast cell tumor. Dr Rice got down on the floor to take her stitches out because she was too nervous on the table. And when my cat was too sick to continue he helped her pass on peacefully and without pain. This is the best Vet.

My Lucy has been gone for over 5 years but I decided to go back to Lakeside with my new girl, Sally. As soon as I asked about "holistic" treatment for my pet, they gave me the bums rush and sent me packing. I guess they dont want my business any more after all these years. What a shame. Mike P.

Best of the Best! Kind, caring and the whole staff is just the best. When we lost our beloved pet they sent us a card and even sent in a donation to the humane society in her name. They have been our vet for 11 years and we cant thank them enough! 5 stars and more for sure!

Dr. Frank is the best! My anxious dog is at ease with him, even in the most uncomfortable circumstances. Hes kind, honest and doesnt ever recommend any meds or procedures unless absolutely necessary. Dr. Martinez is also fantastic. Best vets in town!!
