I was a patient of Dr. Chelis for over 12 years and thought he was an okay doctor. I liked his appointment availability & short wait times however I found him to be unprofessional when it came to copays or any billing questions. He should really let his staff handle that. He tends to meddle in it and gets very angry & unprofessional if any questions arise. I had a question on the number of office bills that were billed recently and asked to have my office notes faxed to me. I was talking to his medical record person when he suddenly got on the phone and very irrately told me that if I didnt trust his office that I should not come there. He stated his office did not commit insurance fraud and they were not dishonest. I never said that and I told him so and he said he had to go and hung up on me. I was shocked that a doctor would talk to his patient like that and it stunned me. Needless to say I will not go back. His staff was very nice and professional about everything however. He also questioned me at the front desk a number of years back about making my copay.

Have been with this guy for decades now. A no-bs internist. If you really want to know, you gotta ask. Dont lie to your Doctor and he wont lie to you....set me straight many a time. Thank you Doc.
