Let me just start by saying that ALL the star reviews are 100% true and accurate. 2 weeks ago a beautiful, gorgeous, blue-eyed 3 month old Pomsky named Bella came home with me. I took her to get checked out by a vet at a clinic next door to where I got her from (both locations will remain nameless out of respect). The vet at that clinic only spent literally 5 minutes just poking and pinching her and said "ok she seems fine" and left the room. Long story short I did not like that vet/clinic and did not get a good vibe from them. Bella was also not too fond of being there. The next day I decided to go in search of a new veterinarian for my new baby. I googled "best vet in Brooklyn, NY" and Bensonhurst Veterinary Care came up. Dr. Zawie specifically was rated #1 by almost all reviewers. I made an appointment for Bella to go see Dr.Zawie for a real actual check up. When i walked through the doors to Dr. Zawies clinic, I immediately was welcomed by the friendly staff and felt very comfortable being there. Bella also was immediately comfortable and relaxed which surprised me because she is usually very scared of new places. The wait time was only about 20 mins (we came an hour before our appt time). Dr. Zawie thoroughly examined her and actually took the time to watch her behavior and explain some things to us and he even had the patience to answer my 188 questions. Both me and Bella left the clinic knowing that we had found our new and permanent vet. Dr. Zawie said he would call me the next day with results to a test he did. The next day first thing in the morning at 9AM, he called me to find out how Bella is and as promised had the results already. I am very happy that I found a Vet for my Bella who both me and Bella like very very much and feel very comfortable with. Bella was even comfortable enough to run around the whole office without being scared. I definitely recommend Dr. Zawie. He is very caring, patient, thorough, detailed, and makes you and your 4-legged baby feel at ease and at home.

This place is saving my cats life right now, they are always kind when Ive been calling to check up on him and very very compassionate! The place is clean with no pet smells like some vets even in the exam rooms themselves there is not the smell of antiseptic in the air. I started there with my Braveheart who has UTI problems. He hasnt had an infection in over a year now since we started him on the prescribed food we were recommended to feed to him. The costs are average yes of course its expensive for a pets care but you show know this going in to owning a pet. Currently they are caring for my other cat Rammstein and I call every day and they always have a few minutes. Rammies been diagnosed with CKD so depending on the info we are given today he will be most probably seeing them a bit I just hope the expense isnt too too high. No matter the outcome I will be forever grateful for all that they have done for both of my cats. Ive been to several vets in Brooklyn after my original vet retired, the other one died, and two others that one was quite indifferent and the other mishandled Braveheart that he gets anxiety now going to the vet. Coming here was the best decision we could of made for both of cats. UPDATE: sadly my Rammstein passed away at home. We brought him here still afterward and they couldnt do enough for us, you could tell it was truly honest how sorry the entire staff was for our loss. If you have a pet live near by any of the doctors Ive dealt with all three are great compassionate people. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars.

Searched reviews and saw they had excellent reviews. Decide to try them and its a decision Ill regret for the rest of my life.My cat had bad teeth and they were going to remove the teeth. Next day his liver enzymes were high that the teeth would come out easy, he didnt need to be put under. Now they needed to treat the other problems. Come pick him up at 10:00am next day. We get there at 10:00 and they decide the cat needs to stay an extra day "AT NO CHARGE" (which we were charged for) Plus the cat had urinated on himself, but dont worry "they will give him a bath" (We had the cat for 11 years, he never did that) We were going to bring the carrier home, but they told us to leave it. I do believe thats where they kept my cat. the next day I had to pick up my cat, but due to a dr app, I didnt get there until later. I called and told them. when I got there, I had to wait for about 1/2 hr to get my "SOAKING WET CAT". When I got him home he couldnt even walk (Maybe from staying in a carrier that was too small) But he was never the same after we got him home. We were supposed to bring him back May 25, but we really lost confidence with them and were not sure if we ever wanted to go back to them. The next morning we knew for sure we would NEVER go back! Pepper had died! I searched the antibiotic "Convenia" and found out its not an antibiotic for teeth and that there have been many side effects from this antibiotic, including DEATH!!!!!!!!!!!!! Was my first visit there. Yeah, place look clean and stuff is very nice. I was very nervous cause I brought just rescued cat from the street. Assistant and then doctor check it, said shes good, took it in separate room from me to do vaccines, did some test, cut nails. I got my cat and bill for 200$ (fine if it worth it) and talks about I have to get an insurance for my pet. But next time I took here to a veterinarian of a friend of mine. And well, in clinic they didnt find out that my cat was pregnant (now I have 4 kitties extra), dont know wich vaccines they did, because I didnt have labels from medication bottle (only printout from their computer wich is just paper with what they wanted to print on it). Most important! didnt give my cat vaccine from parasites ?seriously? And I was charged for that! So had to pay for that again, and to see with my own eyes that my cat got all vaccines it needed!with the labels from each bottle of medication! So, all they have done it was smiling to us, being nice and cut cats nails. Thank you, Very disappointed Wont recommend it to anyone.

I can say only THANK YOU from the very bottom of my heart to Dr. Zawie. Dr Z. literally saved my 2.5 y/o cat when I brought her in severe life threatening condition. All tests were run immediately. He stayed in the office late after his normal hours to help her. Next morning Dr. Z called me around 8 am (!) with tests results and advised me to rush my cat to the VERG hospital. While Casey was in the hospital Dr. Z was constantly in contact with hospital vets and me. I had 3 days of nightmare ... Now Casey is doing fantastic!! I choose his office absolutely randomly.. just because it was very close to me and I was so scared for my cat condition that I just ran for help....As soon as I got into the office I immediately was pleasantly surprised with cleanliness of the office and very warm atmosphere. Have you ever felt that energy that here is the help and you are at the right place? That what I felt immediately. The whole Office team deserves thankful words. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!. I normally do not write that much, but my situation was extraordinary. And we won.
